Surprise!! I am here!!! Because, as you know, my life is *never* simple.
Cait and I started packing our stuff up around noon yesterday when my MIL called to ask if we knew if there was a contingency plan for bad weather for the hearing. Thank goodness that she did or we would be trekking in the snow to a hearing that had been postponed. Cait emailed the DA and she seemed surprised that we didn't know that. Apparently, there was a letter sent out but we don't think we ever got it. Neither of us remembers and I think that is something that we would.

I was very happy to unpack my stuff and I know Cait is relieved that she isn't missing her first day of classes. She isn't thrilled that she has to drive to school in the snow. I am a bit surprised that her first class hasn't been delayed but I heard the snow plows go past my street already so she should be ok.
When I went to bed last night, there was only a small amount of snow and there is maybe 3" at most. I will never complain about the weather forecast being wrong when we get less snow than predicted.

I have no plans for today. I will keep an eye on Kibs and work on a scrap page if I am up to it. Kib is still the same, a little more yellow each day but tomorrow we will know more. Good news or bad, at least we will know what we are dealing with.
Ginny- the woman from my vet's office- has been a big help and I honestly don't know how she runs a kitty hospice. She lost a little guy just the day before. It would break my heart into a million pieces over and over.

I am going to post this now since I have no idea as to what I typing/saying. I am beyond exhausted and I might need to cave and take a nap.

(pfft- so much for trying to get myself on track with healthier habits like yoga...)

"Tomorrow is another day," to quote Scarlet O'Hara... wise words.

love to all of you!

Felis- thank you for the scolding (I think!) My guilt comes from not being able to afford to care for the pets as they should be. If we can afford to get their medical care we shouldn't have so many. I guess, at least in my eyes, that is how I feel. I know, we have given all of our pets good lives and love. I hate having to weigh cost against care. Does that make sense?
But yes, you are right that in the end, it isn't my choice. Life is what it is. And so is Death.

Nancy- how funny of Luther, he sure is a mamma's boy :pupkiss: Hope that the Devils beat the Islanders. Was it a home game?

felis- if I could send you all of my snow and cold weather, I would. You would have liked the snow this morning. When I was out with the dogs, it was still dark but the snow was that sparkly kind in the streetlight. If it wasn't cold and I wasn't outside, I might say it looked a tiny bit pretty :p

Jean- January, and February always feel chaotic to me because of the unpredictability of weather, and everyone one knows how great I do with unpredictability. hahaha!!!! Were you and your DH able to get out to see the birds at all or did you have to cancel? Thanks for the good thoughts and hugs

Rae- I can't imagine already thinking about spring clothes but that is great that you are already working on it! How is Taz today? Hope that he is eating better for you.

Good morning girls,
except the daily routine nothing interesting here. Yesterday I finally tried yoga stretching for hips, and oh heavens, today I have something like a low muscle soreness in my whole legs. Which only shows in how bad shape is my body, hghh!

Chris, I'm glad that you was notify and don't stuck in snow storm. Take a nap, tea, book and blanket or make whatever you need to feel less stressed! Will keep my fingers crossed, results to show something that is reversible! Hugs! No, sorry, but your arguments still not make sense for me. I know you think that because you have whole list of expensive procedures, you wish to try, but this don't mean that they will work at all. One life in happiness have to means something, even if finished in pain, isn't this the price for the love we received, almost every time?! Remember without you will survive only 2-6 years. And no, it wouldn't be adopted by someone else, because shelters are full with unwanted kids.

Rae, I hope you had fun on to the game night with your friends! Awesome that you are found spring/summer clothes at VV! My sister start to to fill in her list with spring clothes that needs too. But can you guess who forgot to make a list :becky:, yep! Because of the limited space, I keep at front only the actual for the season clothes, and on the bottom of the wardrobe, package and vacuumed the others. One good investment would be in shelves, because this wardrobe have just one on the top, but we never comes to that. So now I'm confused what I really need and can predict that will finish with t-shirts with cats from sale (as usual). I hope Taz is start eating normal already! Definitely this weather is awful for a driving, but I'm not a driver :tongue1: . Thank you for the compliment!

Jean, I saw your first weekly page and it is wonderful! I'm happy that you found your new rhythm! I guess it is relieved to not search for to take a shot of something interesting everyday, at least at the beginning of the project, will see for future :biggrin1: . I feel that the weather affect much the plans of all people who lives active. Disappointing for your husband that cold is failed his plans! Enjoy your afternoon plans! Computer store, hmm :curious: ?!

Nancy :hello: !

Trudy, where are you missing girl?! Hope you have good weather and you are on hiking today!

good morning - it is snowing and it is gorgeous! It is quiet and I love it. My son got into work before any snow on road and it should be ending by noon so the ride home should be fine too as they plows should have been out many times. And my Devils defeated the Islanders 4-1 for their first win at the Barclay's Center. My starting goalie Schneider was sick so my backup Kinkaid came in and gave up a break away goal in the first 2 min of the game but then settled in and did not let in another goal. My team just kept getting better and better. My captain Andy Greene was involved in his first ever fight after 700+ games and that seemed to give the team even more energy. Now they play again on Thursday at home against the Capitals. I feel my team has a bit of confidence now going against the Caps which are a great team. Made a great dinner if I do say so LOL. It was roast pork with a cumin-sichaun peppercorn glaze and then veggie fried rice, carrots, bok choy, ginger, garlic and egg. Not a bit left over! I love that. Today is my Wed night out to Panera's with my girlfriend and her daughter. Today is a calm day.

Chris glad that you found out that the hearing was postponed before even going there. I am sure it is a relief to Cait not to miss first day of school. We did not have any snow until this morning so weird how close we are but weather so different. It will be a relief one way or the other to find out what is troubling your kitty.

Felis playing in the snow with your dog sounds so fun. Enjoy the white! I too do not figure out what I need for the next season clothes wise I only keep winter clothes available.

Rae your shopping IQ is off the charts! Congrats on being so organized and knowing what you need!

Trudy hope the went well and a bit relaxing!

Jean sorry about the cold. That is no fun! Hope your DH gets his count in and you make it to the birdseed store.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Got Taz off to daycare, have laundry in and will get to work in a minute. I'm glad its warmed up a bit this week but almost 2 weeks of rain forecasted is a bit gloomy. Hope that changes. I'm bringing crockpot salsa chicken to our game night on Saturday but want to find a side dish to bring too. A few of our friends have jumped onto the low carb wagon so want to introduce them to a few new dishes. I love that my changes have influenced so many others to make changes.

Chris - I understand the feelings about finances vs medical care for our pets. We often talk about this kind of thing b/c it scares me that the day may come where we just cannot afford something and it will break my heart. I think with everything Beckham went thru it really made me think about that. I know I will always do what I can but we have financial limits. I always say if I won the lottery we could buy a bigger home, farther out, with some acreage and I could have lots and lots of pets. I would love that.

Felis - I am enjoying the stretching I'm doing this week. Let's both keep it up!!!

Nancy - enjoy your girls night out.

Jean, Trudy...everyone else...hope its a good day.

I'm getting another coffee and then getting to work now.

Good late morning ladies... I was in here earlier but then DD called to FaceTime with me and we have been talking for over an hour! Not really anything too exciting that we talked about, just stuff and things LOL. Yesterday was a crazy day for us as the delivery of our new washer and dryer was supposed to happen in the afternoon. So DH stayed home from work to get the old ones out of the laundry room and into the garage where he will later take them to the metal recycle place. So I got the floor in the laundry room all vacuumed and washed and cleaned up. So we waited and waited
waiting3-smiley.gif
and then a phone call saying that the truck was behind schedule and that they would not be able to deliver until around 5pm. :gaah: ok so now I can get on with doing other things. Well DH drove me nuts looking for things to keep him occupied LOL. I love this man, but sometimes I could strangle him! Anyway 5pm came and went and it was after 6pm before they got here, supper was still waiting to be cooked and now DH was busy getting the washer and dryer all level and ready for a test run. So needless to say we had a very late dinner and then we sat down to watch a show together on Netflix, a series about the Unabomber it is very good and it is keeping us entertained, hard not to binge watch LOL. So today I am enjoying my peace and quiet again and it is pouring :rain: so no hike for me today.

Chris - I am glad that you found out about the cancellation! It would have been very frustrating to get there, only to find out that it was cancelled!! I hope that you are able to relax the rest of the day and perhaps a nap would be the best thing for you! I hope that your poor little kitty is ok today, you will be glad to find out at least what is going on with her! Good or Bad, it is better to know.

Felis - I was too busy trying to keep my husband out of my hair yesterday to even try to get on my computer much. But hopefully the rest of this week will be better and I will try to get some scrapping time in between doing the :washing: in my new appliances :becky:

Nancy - How fun that your Devils did so well last night! Your supper does sound very, very good! I just love a good pork roast and now I will have to look in my freezer and see if I can find one or go to the store today to buy one because I really want one now!! My mouth is watering LOL. Have fun with your girlfriend tonight, today sounds like a perfect day for you!

Rae - You make me so jealous that you always have such great shopping karma! Have fun at your game night and yes it is so great that you have helped so many to make these changes in their health! My girlfriend is joining in with the Keto WOE and is passing a bunch of info to her brother who also wants to change his eating style and take off some weight. Nice that you are enjoying your stretching exercises too. I really need to get my butt back to the pool and get swimming laps again! Not sure when that will happen as it looks like I will be going to Courtney next week to watch the kids while our son and DIL are in Vegas. Oh well I will be busy taking walks with Storm.

Jean - Hope your hubby got to go on his birding excursion and that you had a nice trip to the computer store, is there a new computer that you are looking at or one in your near future?

Ok I need something to eat and another cup of coffee, then I better get the dishwasher emptied and my bed made, I have been a lump in front of this computer for long enough this morning. But will pop back in here later on today to see what is happening and hopefully get a page done for an upcoming challenge. Have a great humpday everyone!

Nothing exciting here today. It got very cold overnight but warmer now and the sun shone brightly for a while. The computer store has everything computer related, not just computers. It was interesting to see it very busy on a Tuesday afternoon. I had a coupon for a free 32GB flash drive and needed a new mouse and DH wanted to look for a microphone, so we added a little onto the drive to Wildbirds Unlimited where we buy birdseed. No new computers planned here now. DH didn't get up in the cold this morning for a bird survey and I'm happy to have him staying warm instead.

Chris, wow, glad you two didn't have to make that drive! Hate failures of communication though. Really wish you would actually rest and maybe sleep. Good wishes for you at vet tomorrow.

Felis, pain after stretches could be consider positive reinforcement? Hope you continue with the yoga. Thanks for comment on the weekly. Second is in the works. Hope you continue to have and enjoy the snow.

Nancy, I saw that the Devils had a decisive win, but your description makes it much more interesting. Good for them. Your pork roast seasoning sounds great and Trudy makes me think about one too. Have fun at Panera's.

Rae, guess Taz is feeling OK if he went to day care. Good for him! And you with the spring clothes, how super!

Trudy, sorry the weather rained out your hiking, but maybe it's nice to slow down after yesterday's busy day and without your MG.

Have a good one, everybody.
