jeez, January is just flying by. halfway through eh? I am never sorry to see the winter months go.

I have missed you all, hanging out here. I spent yesterday mostly either laying down or in bed. I hate it! Today I am going to stay out of bed but I still have to take it easy. Tomorrow I should be able to go ahead full steam.
My BFF texted me yesterday to check in. She told me I had to REST. (her emphasis/all caps). I replied back that I had asked my nurse very specifically if I could do certain things so I couldn't tell myself "Well she didn't actually say that I couldn't mop the floor (even though she said I couldn't vacuum). I look for loopholes ;)
She texts me back and says that she is hoping that means I will really rest. not just clean the floor "less aggressively" than I would normally do. hahaha!! She knows me all too well! When I shared that with Gary, he was shaking his head and just laughing... Its sooo true!

I go back on Friday for my results. The nurse said that she didn't think the dr seems too concerns about the way the samples looked. I hope that it is true and it comes back benign.

Trudy-- oh my fingers and toes are crossed super tight for you for a good vaca deal! A TV.... wouldn't a trip somewhere warm and relaxing be so much nicer? I think so!

Phyllis- thanks for the hug!!! Bach at ya for the dental stuff. Scott is the same way-- would much rather deal with the drilling pain than the novacaine shot. That needle is huge! I hope that your stomach was happy after you ate that food. But either way, I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Hi Sally!!!
Any news on Carmel? I hope so. I know you must all be worried sick.

Big hellos and hugs to all of you who stop by!

going back to Monday:

Laurie- how awesome to start seeing some real progress and putting stuff all back together. Casters are gonna make your life so much easier! whooo!

Phyllis- re: the buttons. I have this "thing" about buttons, for as long back as I can remember. I hate them. Cannot wear anything with buttons. At all. Even decorative- I'll take them off. Funniest part-- I can't scrap with them, not even put digital buttons on a page. How crazy is that?
I totally understand about keeping the kids off of the internet. I sometimes wish we all could put that genie back in the bottle. Or at least make it safer for everyone. Too funny about that vidoe of the c-mas gift! Hard not to laugh even of you feel bad about it :D

Nancy- I am hoping that the weather stays mild like this for a long time. Hope your Devils are still doing good!

Trudy-- put that shirt back in the closet!!! Buttons gah!!!!! but if it it might make me a real Canadian and I can stay with you forever-- maybe I can take the buttons off and no one will notice?

Names-- wish I had a quarter for all of the times I called my kids the dog's name...

Heather-- sending warm, sunny thoughts to you!!! It wasn't totally dark the other night at 5.15 so the longer days are coming!

Andrea- ouch on your knee! Ois it getting any better? Can you brace it at all? That is what I have to do with my ankle when it gets all wonky. Hope you didn't overdo it at work!
Two tabs, baby, the only way to go with personals. (Did that sounds as weird to you as it did to me? hah!)

Have a great day!!!!

Chris, ARE YOU RESTING??? NO loophole-looking for!! (wow. THaT is a strange word construction i just made there....) i am getting a kick out of your button fetish. or should i call it an anti-fetish? i was never one for using buttons, either actually or digitally, on my pages either. i've always been just generally BAD about knowing how to use elements effectively. good luck on Friday, dear person.

just sitting here waiting for a window guy to show up and tell me why i should buy his product. what a thrill. then off to the mall to buy a baby boy gift for my DIL's brother's new baby. it's raining babies over here!! other than that, nothing much going on. i scrubbed some floors and cleaned a roon this a.m. so that the window guy wouldn't think i'm a slob.

i'll stop back later to see what you all are up to. :becky:

Morning ladies... It is looking to be a very nice day again today! So I am hoping to get out for another nice long walk! Anyone want to join me? I could some company right about now, feeling sorry for myself that there are no good deals to the Sun and it is looking more and more like that big screen t.v. will win out

This morning I have a hair appointment and getting my eyebrows done also while my hair processes so that should take up a fair part of the day! Then I think my sister Wendy is going to come for a visit. We have always gotten along so great and right now she could use a break from being at home I'm sure! Her daughter recently divorced and she has moved back in with her mom and dad until she finds herself a new job. Even though her kids are older and on their own it is still difficult for everyone involved! I love my kids, but could not imagine them living back at home with us :becky:

Chris - you behave yourself and listen to your BFF and the Nurses when they tell you to relax and take it easy!! That does not mean to get to clean the floors a little less aggresively than normal

Yes you can take the buttons off the shirt I won't mind LOL! I think my hubby still has one in his closet from his logging days, uggh I think they are the ugliest things ever made!! The guys love them though, they must be warm and comfortable? Sending you healing, positive vibes hope that you are 100% by the end of the day!

Phylis - Another window guy??? Didn't you already go through this?? Or do you have another window that you are having problems with? Well I hope he doesn't keep you waiting too long!!

Good morning all! Its another sunny day here, so we're off for a walk later on this morning after I get back from having chest and knee x rays (chronic cough and probably OA in the knees). Our little foster cat has settled in nicely and is feeling much better. She's a real sweetie - I know I'm going to hate giving her back (but that always happens).

Chris - Glad to hear things are looking positive with the biopsy and you're taking some time out. Hope you're feeling much better soon.

Sally - Sorry to hear about your lost kitty! We lost our cat Max once for a month but finally got him back from the SPCA - the tattoo helped, although I had to call them a several times!

Trudy - Sorry to hear you're not finding any deals. We're trying to find somewhere to go right now too! Apparently KLM has some great deals to Europe in May but I'm not sure that's the type of holiday we're looking for right now.
Les just had his 60th birthday last Friday - he spent it back country skiing for the weekend.
