Happy 2.29 to everyone!

Had an awful storm pass through here last night and power went off and I got up at what i thought was 6AM, but after making my coffee and sitting down to the computer I realized it was just 4:30AM...........I'll just go with the fact I'm trying to enjoy this extra 24 hours of 2.29 for all it's worth today!!9 (4:30 YIKES!!)

Taking my mom to an eye doctor appt this morning...........the waiting room always looks a like a senior center and each patient has their own personal chaffeur.

hello good morning....doing good here....another .5lbs loss this morning YAY!! only 7 more lbs to go!! yay!!

umm lets see we had thunderstorms last night...and now its SO windy today boo....would be beautiful out if it weren't for that dang wind!! gusts up to 40mph!!! and its a COLD wind too brrrrrr

tomorrow highs near 60 though!! hopefully it'll be an outside play day! snow on friday...what?!?! then back up into the 50's/60's next week....this weather is so weird....
 
hahaaa! Donna, that sounds like a trick i'd do. well, you got an extra day, as well as an extra hour and a half of being awake.

it's raining like mad here, but it's going up to 61 degrees. wild. still in my jammies, posting Anna's new stuff and scrapping and drinking diet cream soda. (Breakfast of Champions....) gotta go fax the form i have to submit for the ID theft that happened to me on Amazon last week. what a pain. i want scummy thieves to suffer. why do people have to DO stuff like this? i think i know. because it's so easy, and we're not as safe as we think we are. i feel betrayed.

on an optimistic note: i am FINISHED with the d*&^%$ bedroom painting, and my new carpet is going in on Thurs.!

Morning ladies... a cool morning here also. Big wind storm passed through here yesterday, but we did not lose power. However down in the city they did?? Usually its the opposite. Well I enjoyed my day off, but it went by too quickly! What else is new?
I have to find a good recipe for a pot luck lunch that we are having for a co-worker's last day with us. Any suggestions? Its for tomorrow, so I will probably have to hit the store for supplies. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Chris - Happy leap day to you too :target: those are my hot flashes following me LOL. Hope your foggy head clears up quickly!

Donna - Nice that you can take your mom to her appointments! I miss helping my mom out! I don't miss the home that we had to put her in though, so depressing!!

Kristy - Wow another 7lbs!!! You are gonna fade away girl!! Please don't get too skinny, like Brangelina!! Did you see her at the Academy awards?? Grossly skinny arms!! Ewwww!! Hope you make it to your goal weight! Good on you!!

Well everyone I have to hit the shower and get some breakfast, my tummy is growling, no danger of me ever getting to skinny, my appetite won't let me LOL. Have a great leap day !! :wave:
 
Hi Phylis :wave: we posted at the same time again, we must be on the same schedule everyday?? Love your breakfast!! Did you ever get any good suggestions from your dietician?? Hooray on finishing the bedroom painting!! You will have to post photos when your new carpet and furniture are all in!! Enjoy your day, and get something healthy in your tummy!!! LOL
 
Trudy, i DID have a Triscuit and some string cheese for my actual breakfast, as well as diet cranberry juice dumped into my unsweetened cold green tea. the dietician was pretty useless. it took me about 45 minutes to get her to STOP feeding me the Company Line and assuming i knew nothing about nutrition and to actually LISTEN to what i was asking her to do!
 
I'm in heaven! Our local thai take way place have been closed for almost 4 months ... she opened today. I'm STUFFED! I'm positive they'll serve thai food in heaven!
 
Morning girls -

Ugh, is it really only Wednesday? We all ended up with the flu last week, so it feels like I lost an entire week. Then Mon and Tues I had to make a mad dash across the state to meet with an attorney (long story) and sign some paperwork, then dash back. I took my oldest (3yr) with me and we had a great time. She watched Tangled over and over and over... I think I'll be quoting that movie in my sleep. ;) Could be worse, though. It is a cute movie.

I feel like there is an entire desert in my eyes - we had 70 mph winds yesterday. Not gusts, WINDS. Constant. The gusts were even worse! It made driving pretty hairy and every time we had to stop, it was a nightmare. Glad there's only a breeze out there now. I guess that's what I get for living in the desert. Blech.

This week I have GOT to get my taxes done, but I'm up to my eyeballs in auditors at work and all I WANT to do is scrap. Blame it on all the talented designers here at the O.

Happy Leap Day ladies, I'll hit a few personals and then I HAVE to get something done. Well, besides web-surfing. :laugh:


Phylis - I am so sorry you were taken advantage of. It is SO frustrating. Someone opened a cell phone account in my husband's name in Michigan a few years ago and we didn't know until we tried to buy a new car. What a MESS. Now he has a lock on his credit, which is good and bad. It prevents identity theft, but also makes us have to jump through hoops when we want to do something legitimate. :(

As a sidenote - has anyone tried LifeLock or any of those identity theft prevention companies?

Kristy - YAY for getting so close to your goal! I have about 10 lbs to go! Of course, it would help if I would concentrate more on what I was eating BEFORE eating it, instead of after. ;)

Chris - Happy Leap Day to you too! Good luck clearing the brain fog - let me know if you find a trick. I certainly could use one!

Donna - have fun with your mom today! I've been staying with mine while I recover from surgery and it certainly has been interesting. My girls are loving the extra time with Grammy, though.

Now you've done it. I am dying for Pad Thai and have none of the ingredients, and the grocery store is an hour away. :decision:
 
no worries i wont get anywhere near too skinny...i was already there about 4 years ago...and looking back at pictures i LOOKED AWFUL!!! it was all due to stress...i had lost like 30+ pounds in about a months time :( stupid stress....anyways once i get to my goal weight im STAYING there... :)
 
Stef, guess what? i BELONG to LifeLock! there's a gaping hole in ID protection in the place where my trouble happened. what happened to me at Amazon can happen to anyone!

Hi Peeps from torrential rainy Hawaii.

Very slow net connection here so not on line much. We really haven't done a lot this week, but being outside more and with good winds/breezes, we're both kind of fading around....8pm!

It's a good r&r for both of us, which was the point. If tomorrow is a rainy rainy day, I'm staying in and scrapping. Saturday we leave Kauai and fly to Honolulu. I'll be glad to get back to 'city' life! Don't hit me! I like the scenery but I'm just as happy with an east coast beach if I want beach. Fortunately, Dick agrees.
