Hoooo, boy!!! I don't know if any of you have been following the newest/latest/worst/most like an action movie Scandal in the US. I am trying really hard to stay as apolitical as I can here but for a political junkie like me. this is kind of hard wrapping my head around.
Crazy s***!!! :censored:

I guess I shouldn't be worried about all of my technology being screwy or paying bills cuz the word is gonna blow! hahaha!!

I spent more time yesterday morning fussing with my printer and inks and I have the multi-colored fingertips to prove it. Still no luck and I wish I knew what was going on.
I had a nice time out and about with my mom. She loved the DR color and wanted to treat me to a new candle or centerpiece to put on the table to match. We popped into TJ Maxx but they didn't have anything that would work. She made us a pasta dish for dinner so all I had to do was boil the linguine and warm the bread. Then the three of us watched a bunch of episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia which can be inappropriate on occasion. OL-- way more than on occasion, closer to all of the time. It was a *very* romantic Valentine's Day  :pound:

How was your day? Filled with bliss? Hope so!

Today my FIL is coming up to help Gary re-run some of the plumbing to put the new vanity in. We might have to turn the house water supply off which means no heat either so my fingers are crossed that if that happens with won't be for too long.
I am so messed in the head of all of the things that I need to work on that I don't want to have to deal with. But I have to motivate myself to do that and then I am cleaning for my neighbor. Please let me be able to take a shower when I get home!

Have a fab day!!!

Ugh, I am running later, distracted by way too much breaking news...

Sharon-hehe! I am not so funny, I am actually quite bonkers, mad as a hatter insane
Great idea to go thrift store shopping. I was a bit of a "snob" with thrift stores since the one in my town is grimy (to say the least). But for things like picture frames and candle holders, it is perfect. I bought $10 frames for Christmas for like $5 IIRC. Hope you and DD had a good day together.

Trudy- oh no! That is too funny about DH hovering. MIL said the same thing when FIL retired recently. I think she is the one pushing for him to come up and help Gary with our projects :D
Ahhhh!! Don't shoot him! You'll never get the blood out of the grass! hahaha!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear that you had a rough morning too. Hope that today's was better.
I feel your pain about being the one to help your MIL with any of the ancestry stuff. All my mom has to say to me is "My tablet......." and I am :lalala:
Roar Mason! That is hysterical! How did the US go?????

Rae- were you able to get everything done that you needed to do to catch up on work? poor Darrell- he must have been tired to spell Rae wrong ;)
Good for you for teaching your friend some scrap stuff.

Sharon- How fun to be in a Mardi Gras parade!! It was one of those things, like Times Square on NYE, that I always wanted to do when I was younger.

Jean- you should have told me about your Party, I could have come as the Guest of Honor as I just said how I am mad as a Hatter, hehe!!!!
Sounds like it was a really neat time!

xoxo

good morning - whew yesterday flew by. I got up and had to clean the house. After me being sick and then with all the driving for the dogs I just was not motivated. But I got all the vacuuming and dusting done. All that kept Luther occupied. Then after lunch we did a good walk and then I was off to the NJ Devils for a Valentine's date with my DH. One of the friends we have made because of the Devils and the fan club had 2 extra tickets to a suite and an ice cream social. We had awesome desserts! And it was so fun to sit in the suite! And best of all the Devils won 3-2 over the Avalanche. So a very sweet Valentines Day with my DH. Now today I was up early to get my car over for servicing. My son is awesome as he arranged for me to be driven home. They are doing some recall on the door handles so it will be taking a while. I think I also may need brakes and tires. Got home and took Luther out on a walk. My DH said on his walk with Luther the saw Magnum and the owners gave us their phone number as one day Luther and I walked by when they were not home and Magnum was so upset. What a crack up! And I saw that the winner of the Westminster Dog show was a German Shepherd, Rumor! This is going to be a great week for not cooking as my son brought home dinner for my birthday on Monday, Tuesday was Valentines, tonight my girlfriend and I will be going out and then tomorrow is another Devils game and Friday is pizza. How fun for me!

Chris so you are cranky! The weather is to warm up this weekend high may get to 60! Sorry for the printer woes. Sounds like a great time with your mom. I wish I had someone bringing me dinner. Good luck with the plumbing! Hope the water is not off too long!

Trudy can your MG believe that the Boston coach is now the coach of the Canadiens. What!!! I guess Boston could not not let him find another job but to go to Boston's biggest rival. What a shock to hear that come across the news. Mason is a crack up! I love that name. Nowadays you could probably get away with a name like Roar! LOL Hope you get back to swimming!

Rae love your updates on the diet. I have never heard of this so I am learning a lot. Keep up the good work. That cracks me up on your DH misspelling your name. He must have been tired. Hope work goes fast!

Sharon those parades always look so fun! I thought only beads were thrown from floats. I had no idea there was other stuff.

Jean you are the best at genealogy! Your Mad Hatter Tea party sounds fantastic.

Have a great day all!

Chris- we have several very nice thrift stores in our area- especially if you go to the "high rent district" area! Plus seniors get 50% off on Wed. at my fav one.

Nancy and Chris- sounds like a nice valentines day

Our valentines evening was very quiet. I watched TV and DH played a new game!

Good morning, ladies. Got lots of work done yesterday. Ended up cancelling the visit with my friend and rescheduled for tomorrow. I had even more work come in mid morning so this officially breaks the record for the most work sent at one time. I put a good dent in it yesterday but will be doing the same today, typing as much as I can and not on the computer much. We had a quiet VD last night, had a lovely steak and caesar salad loaded with bacon, shaved parm and dressing. Yum. Got on the scale this morning and am down 7 lbs. Yay. So far, still no hunger cravings so it's been very easy to manage. Hubs ate Munchie Mix last night and I didn't even care. So I think for me, I have to stay away from starches/sugar and the cravings go away. If I have some, then my brain starts wanting more and I start craving. I added whipping cream to my bulletproof coffee in the morning and it is even better...yum.

Chris - how wonderful of your mom to bring dinner. I wish someone would bring me dinner. Darrell doesn't cook so it's always up to me. The only good thing about that is that I get to choose what we eat.

Sharon - awesome about the thrift store seniors discount. We don't have anything good here but in Bellingham (where our trailer is) there is a small clothing/housewares thrift shop that I love and I pop in there quite often. Their prices aren't dirt cheap but they get in some great stuff and its still cheaper than in a retail store.

Trudy and Nancy - hope all is well.

Ok, ladies, have a great day. I'm getting to work and see how much I can get accomplished today. Maybe tonight I can relax and scrap (fingers crossed).

Morning ladies... It poured :rain: all night long, but this morning it looks foggy and heavy rainfall warnings for later in the day. I suppose I should get to the store before all that happens! Of course we washed the car inside and out the other day, why did we bother? :noidea: Not much else on my plate except for some groceries, perhaps I will try to motivated to start a new painting.

Chris - Heather's Ultrasound went well, she had a very long one as they check all of her internal organs as well as the baby's , I guess the baby was moving around so much that they had a hard time getting the images that they were looking for LOL. Hopefully this baby won't be too active when it arrives, poor Heather will never be able to keep up. Crazy things happening in the political world of the U.S.!! I wonder if Trump will even make it for one full year, before he is

Time will tell I guess. At least this morning went well with no coffee explosions, so I am in a bit better mood today. DH showed up home from work with flowers, which never, ever happens and he told me that the store was crazy busy with all the men there picking up their Valentines gifts LOL. I told him I appreciated the gesture, but really he need not buy me flowers I know he loves me, even when I am cranky!! :becky:

Nancy - Yes DH was totally shocked about the Bruins coach!! For him to go to their arch rivals too, what a slap in the face!! Hopefully the Bruins keep on winning like they have and the Canadians keep getting shut out!! (Did I say that out loud?) LOL Nice to have your house all clean and sparkly!! You have had a nice few days with your birthday and Valentines gifts!! My DD's birthday is tomorrow and she was spoiled for Valentines Day also with gifts from her man, flowers, chocolate and he made a Steak Dinner for them also! So nice!!

Rae - I have been looking at that diet and there really are not that many things that I would have to give up, I have pretty much given up bread already and I don't eat that many things with the high sugar, but I think giving up pasta and other things like that will be hard for me. WW does not seem to be working for me anymore as I can't seem to lose anymore than 3-4 lbs on it. I am getting to the age where I really don't want to give up anymore of the things that I love to eat and perhaps things in moderation is just going to be the way I live. I'm not 25 anymore and I won't ever have a 25 yr olds body again :becky: Perhaps I should give it a try and see what happens, but not looking forward to the Keto flu!! Wow you are down 7 lbs already!! WTG!! and you had the same dinner as my DD last night and my DH had the same snack as your hubs did. I don't eat that stuff anymore either , I am never hungry after dinner.

Sharon - I would love to see the Mardi Gras parade, but perhaps from a distance, I don't think I would like the huge crowds, I am getting old LOL.

Jean - Thanks for the offer of help with my MIL I will definitely contact you if she has any questions!! That Tea Party sounds like it must have been so much fun!! I love hats and find it sad that we don't wear the nice hats anymore, love it when a man wears a fedora!!

Ok DD is going to be calling right away, better get my breakfast and some coffee! Have a great day everyone!!
