:yo: Well, good morning my O-Fam!

Yesterday seemed like another one of my kooky days of running non-stop but feeling like everything is more of a mess than when I started. So I am going to take a step back and tell myself the things that I got done:

- more ideas for my Faery-Wings baskets -- I am going to try and make a coffee body scrub!! Plus some bath teas, lemon poppy soap bars, and a peppermint foot soak.
- 2 more batches of cookies made
- some of the fake evergreens and bows are up outside
- plus- I worked for the woman who has MS and breast cancer and my goodness she makes me laugh! She has the best attitude, and I have been telling her she has to write a book. It always takes me longer to finish her home, but its worth it for the laughs I get. We ended up the convo by recognizing the trick to world peace. The word Puppy. You can't say the word puppy without smiling. See, you are smiling, right??

I guess all in all, it was productive. Needs to be b/c today I brave the stores and mall!!! Ahhhh. I hate malls and this one is 4 floors. At least I will be with my mom and she is not as annoying in malls as my kids are.:blah:

WWW:
I wish I could get all of my shopping done-- today!
I want the malls to be empty of stupid and annoying people. (Guess that means *I* can't go either. Its a Win-Win!!!)
I wish that some kind persons RAKs me with a free shopping spree..... :)

hugs and love to you all!

Laurie- that truck is bad news!!!!!! Hope it stays away from you from now on. You amaze me literally every day how dedicated you are to exercising. And obviously it is paying off. Did you get your yoga in too? Damn, you are good!

everyone puts their best behavior on for the public at large and sometimes act like creepy monster beings when dealing with me.
I said that the other day to Gary, it sucks being the mom and getting the crappy end of the stick all of the time :(
Good fun for you to be making more cards! I stopped mailing cards out when Gary first got sick, I simply couldn't afford it. So I started emailing digi-cards, but I had a few people react negatively, so now I don't even bother. This year I made a card for the Anna Challenge but Caitlyn doesn't like it so I have no idea if I'll bother printing them.
Hope you got another good night's sleep!

Hey Donna! Hope that you were productive too- although you always seem to be!!

Linda S- did you get your tree done last night? Can't wait to see that photo featured in your scrap pages, really is precious!!!

Donna- your mom sounds amazing, what a good soul!
I don't typically write letters, but I like to leave notes to the people when I am done cleaning- like when the one woman's flowers had all bloomed- had to leave a little note to say how pretty they were. I bet those notes from your mom are very appreciated.

Trudy!!!!! OMG, that is a great story!! You have to scrap it (even if he kills you for it in a few years!!!) Really made me laugh!!! It sounds like your g-kids are so close to you even if they don't live nearby. That is wonderful!!! Its also great to hear stories like that b/c it helps me to understand how my parents and IL's feel about my kids. And why my mom will tell me that if she doesn't see them in a couple of weeks how much she misses them. But I guess that she really does. :)

Nancy- good for you for not letting the cruddy stuff ruin your day. I tend to let stuff like that bring me down and I know I shouldn't but *shrugs* You are awesome for that! When is the hockey game, you must be sooo excited!!!

Hi Sally! I see you peeking in here!!
When does Cora come home from college? Are you counting the days to have all of the kids under the same roof?

Heater-- good to hear that you took care of yourself and are feeling better!

Terry--ouch!! Vet bills are so expensive. But worth it right? Give them puppy kisses from this crazy pet-house!

xoxoxo!!

Morning O fam- much better mood today, workout done (did not do yoga home at 9 bed at 10), busy day- not only is it hump day, but because tomorrow is my day off and I want it guilt free it will be late night- by late I mean likely after 9 at work. I run to chipotle and pick up dinner for the late stayers. It is so much fun to walk in past the line to the register and pick up my meal! Love that they label each item with who gets it and that I can fax the order in for pick up when I will arrive!! The little things. I am having a busy day off tomorrow and have not done anything in the house for our little dance party, I will likely bag the kitchen piles to go through at a later date. Such a bad habit I have of letting things pile up.

Make it a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

'morning, O-zies. OTHD. although December is sort of like The Hump MONTH. we can all breathe in January!

Chris, the problem with puppies and World Peace is that, as always, there are other cultures who don't buy into the cuteness of dogs. it's the old story about war: what if you wanted World Peace and some other country DOESN'T?

Trudy, you had me roaring with laughter. i hope my Grandmen some day like me enough to do something like that! a PAGE is required of this experience!! it must be remembered always. at this stage, mine are too young to be real "conversationalists." although they do laugh their heads off at my face accessories in SKYPE. last Sunday i had a Santa's hat and beard, then my head was replaced with Frosty's, and then i grew a red nose and some reindeer antlers!

Terry, one nice thing about living in the Frozen North is that the heartworm thing isn't as bad here. at least i think it isn't. i haven't had a dog for many years. you know what's cool? MY vet makes house calls!! he has an equipped van, and for a little more $$, he'll drive up to your house. my cat pukes his guts out in the car, so this makes it easier on BOTH of us. i just wrap him in a towel and walk down the front steps.

Nancy, you must be in Hockey Withdrawal!! unfortunately, i'm not missing it much. i'm a little sick and tired of professional athletes. i'd rather go to a high school game, truth be told.

yesterday i ended up using my brand new vacuum-with-ultraviolet-light toy and ran it over furniture and carpets on the first floor. death to dust mites!! or at least i hope it is. sometimes i feel silly using things that claim to use something i can't see working to do something i can't really guage the success of immediately. i keep thinking of what a video of me, on my knees, running this little vacuum with a blue light slowly over the carpet would look like. the possibiities for "captioning" are endless:

"Old woman uses light she believes to be from the 4th Dimension to eradicate dirt."

"scamming the elderly: light bulb painted blue which claims to kill dust mites being sold to hapless homemakers."

"countless elderly calling for help after they are unable to get back up on their feet after using ultraviolet vacuum device on carpets for hours at a time."

...and so on.

well, more of that today in our bedroom. at least i FEEL like i'm doing something positive!

everyone, have a Super Wednesday!

Good am - it seems that all my email and power problems are solved. I love that now a days most companies send out a survey on how the call went. I told them exactly how it went and boy did that feel good!

Chris have fun at the mall. This year my group of friends (we always do a present exchange) have decided to forgo the exchange and donate the money to Sandy's recovery. Since we live in NJ it seems the right thing to do besides we are all older and have pretty much everything we need.

Laurie always love reading how your workouts are done before you write.

Phylis I am missing hockey. I do agree with you about professional athletes. I guess that is why I liked hockey players as they seemed more like regular people who realized how lucky they were making a living playing a game. But now they have showed that it is just about the money. We are seeing a minor league game and they are kids. So it is fun. But while I miss the game what I really miss is seeing my son and his wife and all the other friends that we see there. There are 7 of us that are going to the game in Albany. So that should be really fun!

Have a great day!

Good morning O'buddies!! I woke up and thought---It's not Friday yet? I don't know about you but I am ready for the weekend!!

Last night my husband and I attended a memorial service. After the service, we hopped in the car and commented on how nice the service was. I said if it were my service--I would want more music and upbeat. Made us talk about what we would want our service to be like. So---when I got home, I sent a text to two very good friends.

It went like this:
"hey, when I die, would you sing at my funeral?"
"What!!! Is there something you need to tell me?"

"Hey, when I die would you play your trumpet at my funeral?"
"What!!!"
"I've been worried about you."
"I need to figure out what I want you to play."
"heck no, I'm playing what I want, you'll be dead!"

I let both of them know I was just in a planning mode, but I have to tell you I cracked up laughing with their responses. Guess my questions to them came out of left field. Although, after going to the memorial service, it did make me stop and think that we need to plan our services.

Gonna work all day--hope to scrap tonight.

Phyllis--I can just see you on the floor with the little blue light. You have some pretty cool gadgets lady.

Chris--you are brave going to a 4 story mall. Either brave or nuts. Hope you get all your shopping finished today.

Terry, just to show how weird i am, i actually sat down a couple months ago and wrote it all out for my family. exactly what i want when i die, and even in the event i'm incapacitated. i even included a CD of the ONE song i want played! i think it's a wise idea, especially if, like me, you don't think your family would have a CLUE about what to do without you there bossing them around and telling them exactly what to do....

I'm baaaccckkk!! Six vials of blood lighter LOL. That was the fastest time ever for blood work for me. No one was in the Lab when I got there so I went right in and got it all done in about 5mins. Hooray!!

Chris - Ugghh on going to the Mall!! At least your mom is good company for you and she should help to keep you a bit more sane at least! Hope you get it all done today and wouldn't it be great if someone handed you all the money you needed to get everything on your list!!

Laurie - sounds like you are putting in very long days, plus you get your workout done everyday too?? You are my hero!!

Phylis - Glad that my story made you laugh!! Yes, my little man is quite the guy! He is only 4 but has the soul of an old man, I am sure that he has been here before LOL. He carries on a conversation with me like he is the same age as I am, but asks the very best questions and loves to show me all of his favourite things in his room. I am sure that your Grandmen love you very much and they will share with you too, perhaps not on the toilet however LOL. I really must scrap that story!

Nancy - Sad that you are missing the hockey! My hubby is too, but not as much as he thought he would? Guess the greed really put a different spin on how we all look at hockey. We are going to a game tonight in Victoria as part of my work's Christmas party, first Chinese food in China Town in Victoria and then the game Victoria Royals against the Vancouver Giants they are in the WHL so it should be some good hockey! Taking a bus down and some beverages to drink on the way so it should be a fun time!! No worries about driving.

Terry - I love your story about your funeral planning with your friends! Bet they thought that something was terribly wrong at first. Good to have a plan!! Hubby and I have to sit down and make final arrangements also. Cremation plot is already paid for, just need to look into the service, which now a days is not much anymore, no real Church Services here and we are not the type to want that anyway. Just need to make sure the kids don't go broke trying to pay for what we want. Hope your work day goes by fast, friday is on its way!! LOL

Sally - I am afraid to go to Pinterest these days, I would be lost for days looking at all the Christmas Craft ideas!!!

Well better get my second cup of java and some breakfast, I'm hungry :hungry: Have a great Hump Day everyone

Well it's almost noon....my "bug" is home today sick...she has been miserable...no temp or anything...just feels horribly bad and shivering....(I had the same thing yesterday and slept most of the day)....she has been curled up on the couch with me all morning long whinning for her Mommy :(

She is asleep now so I am grabbing a few minutes on the computer then off to get some washing done!! Hopefully she will sleep for a couple of hours and feel better when she gets up.

I have two more Christmas gifts to get done too and sent off to be printed...I really need that done this week!!!!!!!!! and I HAVE TO GO TO MOM'S TOMORROW or she will be up and cleaning and washing and cooking........if it's not done she wants to do it...and this is two days of not going over...

Did I tell you Mike and I got our Christmas presents already?? well we usually don't buy anything for each other...I am just calling it that :becky: Cyber Monday, Verizon had a special on their new Samsung 4g tablets...$99 each and add to your plan for $10 a month....WOOOT!!! they usually don't do contracts on them, just for that one day!! And they normally cost $400...so we got them...I will never switch to a smart phone, as it's just not big enough for me..would never be able to use the internet on it..tried on Sharon's...it's just too small...so this will be so much better!!! We already have data on our plan because of Sharon and Geoff...so all was good!! It's so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...off to do :washing:

So home again home again jiggity jog- I was going to stay up late, but alas I have an early morning meeting - must attend 2/4 for the year- not sure what year- if it is annual or year we started working there- things are not quite spelled out the way I like. Oh well that meeting is 730 to 830 and right across the street from my dentist which is at 9- guess I will treat myself to a special coffee in the am- who am I kidding, I will do my own coffee at home, I am too cheap! I need to get up early and make a list anyways. Got home tonight and there was a package on the porch- my son's bocce balls that he wanted just like the ones he got for his birthday- that was easy!
