Hey there, dear O-zies!
Good news, I slept pretty well last night and my eye is feeling better. Yay! I am 99% sure that it was blepharitis again, I have had that before and since it is less irritated today, that kind of settles it in my mind.
I asked Gary to pick up the groceries so that was one less trip I had to make and Cait drove and I had the cage on my lap for the vet. Dilly is a typical rat- no sign of infection or injury by the time the vet saw her. Of course, isn't that the way of pets and cars? He sent Cait home with some abx if it happens again.
Not much else happened here. Most of the tree is down, I need Gary or Scott to take the lights off and drag it out back for the wildlife to use for shelter. Scott is going to help me get the boxes into the attic. I feel like today should be a pajama day.

Have a fab day, my friends!

Betty Jo- thanks, my eye is feeling much better today. Caitlyn is so darn smart and doesn't give herself enough credit for her dedication and hard work- especially in a pandemic! Unfortunately, I don't have an InstaPot- wish I did. My ILs got us a toaster oven/air fryer. Trudy is the lucky one with the IP. JK, we are happy with the toaster oven, it is my kitchen that I am unhappy with ;)
Holy cow, it must have been cold to have the well pump freeze. We have a well too and I don't think that has ever happened, I think I would remember if it did. Yikes. I am glad that you were able to celebrate together even if it was a couple of days late.
I cannot imagine attending a memorial service on Zoom. It must have been very difficult to not be with your friend's family.

Rae- how is B today, do they have an idea of when she will be able to get back home? What a tricky situation too, you don't want her at the hospital but it has to be nerve-wracking for her to be at home too. How is your back holding up with the stress of it all?

Trudy- that photo is gorgeous!!! It must have been rejuvenating to see and experience it! I miss nature... 3 more months and it won't be too cold. I hope.
I hope that the client is better able to tell you what colors she wants and doesn't change her mind again. Congrats to your sister on the orders for her hats and ear warmers.
Poor Hunter- is it still his teeth that are hurting him? I hope that he is able to get some good sleep, Heather must be feeling ragged.

Woke up at 5:30 to a bright spotlight on the patio door in the master bedroom... the moon was so bright shining down on the door it woke me up. Tried to go back to sleep but didn't happen. I was able to do it yesterday morning and fell back asleep until 8:30. Guess my body was saying it needed more rest as I didn't do much all day. It turned into a PJ day - reading and dozing in the recliner. The cold is improving but still hanging on. Should be gone by this weekend, I hope. Going to get some enchiladas sauce out of the freezer for supper. That should help with the sniffles as it opens up the sinuses with the hot chili spices.

Chris... so proud of Cait - WOW all A's!!! Glad your eye is doing better today. How nice that you can haul your Christmas tree out into the woods for the critters to use.

Trudy... what a beautiful photo of the waterfall! You can almost hear the water bubbling as it goes over the fall and into the pool below. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Cheryl, hope you are getting settled now that the big move is done. Looking forward to seeing the photos now that you have moved.

Rae, glad to hear that B is doing better now. What a scare that must have been. Sorry they don't know what caused it but good that she is doing better now.

Betty Jo... that must have been sub-zero temps for the well to freeze!!! Glad that it finally thawed. Sorry you couldn't go to the funeral but glad you were able to Zoom it and be with the family that way.

Have to get showered and dressed this morning. Have a few bills that need to be in the mail today. Glad they have an outdoor dropbox for it. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning O-zies! It's another very rainy day here and I am off to the pool at noon today. It will be good to stretch out my muscles today! I don't have too much else going on today. I finished the business card for my Sister and she is very happy with it! It took me most of the afternoon to do and a few changes along the way, but the final results are good! I never did phone the client yesterday, but will email her this morning to see if she wants to talk on the phone or just tell me via email exactly what she has in mind. Hope to hear from Heather and boys today, but if Hunter is still cranky then that won't be happening  I did get my canvas all gessoed and ready to paint again. It was hard to cover up all of that colour LOL. Sure hope this next attempt turns out the way she wants!! So not much else happening here this morning. I need to get some commenting done here at the O! I have been a very bad CheeryO as of late and no motivation to do any scrapping which makes me sad!!

Chris - It is nice to hear that you got a pretty good sleep and that your eye is feeling better today! Of course there was no sign of infection for the rat patient LOL Isn't that always the way!! Oh well at least there is the meds if she does develop an infection in the future! We will start to put all the decorations away on New Year's Day. It certainly will not take long as I only put out about half of what I normally do. Hopefully next year it will be a non-covid Christmas!! It was great to be outdoors when we went to the waterfall, this winter so far has been pretty mild, but I did have to wear my gloves as you know how sensitive the fingers can be! Hope that you can get out into nature again soon!

Betty Jo - Lots of great recipes! I am going to see what I can find for supper tonight, having fun with the instapot and really want to try making yogurt in it too!

Kay - Sure hope that your cold has left for good by the weekend! I bet the enchiladas sauce really clears up your sinuses!! Yummm! Glad you liked the photo, I did take a video of it, but wasn't sure if it would show up on here or if it would be too large of a file?? Perhaps I should post it on Facebook.

Well I feel another cup of coffee is in my future and then my morning chores of emptying the dishwasher and making the bed. :bored: what an exciting life I lead LOL. Off to the gallery for a bit too. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Good morning ladies. Had a good sleep last night. B was sent home yesterday afternoon, she is improving well and they don't want to keep her in the hospital any longer than necessary b/c of covid (they have an outbreak in part of the hospital which is where the caregiver got it as she works there as an LPN). They think that prolonged inadequate diabetes management may be the cause of her body breaking down as it did. She is still incontinent, tired and foggy but she is improving. It may have done permanent damage but time will tell. Good news is that Jen will be monitoring her insulin care, getting weekly reports and advising on care. It's so sad that healthcare workers are so uninformed on diabetes care. That poor girl just can't catch a break. We face timed with her while she opened her gifts and she went to bed piled up in her new pillow and quilts.

Today I will putter around the house, organize the pantry a bit and D can hang my new PANTRY sign in the kitchen. Apparently B had bought it with her own money for me months ago and jen had it hidden in her room, waiting for B to come home and face time so she could see me open it. She didn't remember buying it but when I opened it and started to turn it over to see what was written on it, she remembered the word. Funny how her brain works.

Chris - got C's letter yesterday. So cute! I will show B on face time and explain it all to her about the stickers and then will hang onto them for her until we are allowed to see her and place them somewhere she can see them in her room.

Trudy - you have to redo the painting you were working on? Have a good swim.

Kay - hope you feel better soon and enjoy the spicy dinner.

I'm going to go get coffee and feed the birds. I slept in this morning, first time in a very long time :) BFN

Hello l0velies,
anybody else excited about making lists and plans? I wish I could bottle this enthusiasm, which I'm feeling at the new beginning, so to be able to reopen it somewhere in March when the spring fatigue hits me! I'll not lie, I'm terrified from what comes. The last 2 months I have only one working week, and my loans are growing fast, but my conscience is clear, I'm spending only for food and vet bills. So allows me for now recklessly to believe that in the end the good somehow will win. I had two very unpleasant lessons at 2020: 1. I'm totally irresponsible about my finances and savings. and 2. The one you loves is not the one who loves you. (If we have to be completely detailed, the one I wanted was too young, and the other that comes to ask me was creepy). I don't know, I can't figure out other thing that I'm learned this year. Let's just move to the next year! I guess that's the same crazy feeling that the fighters have before the battle game, you know it will be hard but you're prepared to do it!
So I'm typing this very early at the morning of 31st. I woke up somewhere at the night, as I have lots to do today. Literally the only thing that I have to cook during the holidays is the New Years Eve cake, and I had to make it yesterday evening so to can the layers to absorb right, but I was tired and gone to sleep early. So at the first moment when I wouldn't wake up everybody else with the mixer have to start that! We still wondering how to celebrate. One idea is to be pj party so to show our complete disregard to 2020. But then the new year will meet us at this way, and you have only one chance for good first impression, so I'm more for the idea with official clothes. Previous year my parents insisted to wear casual clothes, and I'm completely sure that this and of course Cait's cursed socks ruined 2020. :pound:

OK, I understand that when you have real tree you will want to get rid of it faster. But the fact that most of you put and takes the Christmas decoration without to follow some ritual dates still makes me sad. I guess orthodox christians are more pedantic to the ancients legends.

Chris, I hope your eye gets better soon! How unpleasant.

Kay, so bad that this cold is still bother you!

Trudy, it's so cool that you're found new trails, this photo is lovely! Oh, good luck on your sister with her craft business! Is that the same sister with the hen and eggs?

Rae, it's so relief to hear your good news!

Jean, any intentions to make 52 weekly project for 2021? I think I wouldn't, but I'm actually still wondering. Kind of miss it.

Oh, and last, as we will see the next year here is the link to the holidays puzzles for my avi, for those of you that was liked it

Good evening, Oozies! I hope everybody is well. Chris, so glad to hear that you got a better night's sleep.

Kay, we're all moved in - still in a mess of unpacking, but we're in.

Girls, I've been promising pictures and here's my album with some updated pictures. We didn't take hardly any pictures on moving day - we were too busy. We all worked like mad people but we got moved "up the hill" by Saturday night (day after Christmas).
Here's a link to my Oklahoma House Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/v8dZ9jC9md2vaRqy5

Also, I promised you pictures of my granddaughter, Ava, seeing her Bible for the first time. So, I put together a little album for you. She LOVED it and it made all that work SO worthwhile. She took a short video herself and you can hear all of us carrying on in the background. https://photos.app.goo.gl/8EUUNZ4AJwhx2WqKA

We've been crazy busy and have more family here and more coming New Year's Day! Youngest daughter and grandson are here and they're staying in our little cabin (it's an airbnb) and other family members will be staying at a local hotel. I'm going to totally collapse when everybody leaves. We can't wait to get all of our stuff put away! I haven't included many pictures of inside the house, because most of it is still in disarray. The bathrooms are both done and there are pictures in the album.

Hugs to all and I'm going now to work on my January 1 Vicki Stegall Challenge. Everybody just left 10:30 for the night and I need to work here!

Hugs

Thank you for the links, Cheryl! I absolutely adore your doors! This on roll is so stylish, and the one with the small windows that looks at the nature is also very pretty!
