Happy Hump Day!!

Wow. Just wow. I am not sure what else I can say. Give me time, I am sure I will have lots to say as soon as I get going. You all know me too well.

I had productivity and screw-ups all day so at least things balanced out a bit. Food shopping cost me $200. But included in that was a set of flannel sheets for $10 that Cait asked for and a $25 Visa Gift Card (and a freaking $4 activation fee) included in that, plus a couple of stocking stuffers too.

The tank top I ordered for Leah came in and I screwed it up somehow. I wanted one style but ended up somehow ordering a different style. I asked Scott if I should complain since the style I wanted to order was what is on the invoice but he said it wasn't worth it, that she will love it the way it came. The earrings I ordered for Cait are too big, she wanted tiny studs and I thought that they were based on the pictures. Not much I can do about it now.

I also baked Gary's shortbreads and they are waiting in the BR to be unmolded -- I will do that when he is in the shower.
Plus I made toasted coconut cookies, cutout shortbreads, and dog cookies, all of which came out great. *pats self on back*

Gary and the kids were out shopping for me and they went to a little village up the mountain. He didn't have any luck finding anything for me and to add insult to injury, they got a parking ticket. There is a municipal lot the everyone parked in, for years and years. Now it is permit-only but who would have thought to look? He was ticked.
Can't say I blame him.

Today I want to bring some cookies over to the food pantry and to the vet. I also need to drop off a stool sample to see if the Giardia is all gone and pick up heartworm pills. Plus I need to clean my neighbor and bring him cookies too.

Another long day... *sighs*

But things are getting closer to being done. I think.

Hope that all of you have a wonderful day!

PS: I saw Trudy posted a photo of the g-kids on FB and I can only imagine how happy she must be! Love you, T!!!!

Nancy- that dream is too funny- I bet the mountain was The Rock LOL Glad that the actual game was fun too. Great win! Sad that the Devils seemed to make a bad trade there.
The weather up here was warm(ish) too, I wasn't hating being outside with dogs. Feels colder today though. Were you able to get to the hairdressers ok?
I like using bags too but some presents need paper- like anything for the dogs, they like to unwrap gifts.

Speaking of unwrapping gifts, I was in the kitchen which is basically a bunch of cabinets and an island that separates it from the LR. I am rolling out dough on the island and I hear some weird sounds. I know W is getting into something. I look over and there she is chewing on a pack of brand new tennis balls and the wrapping paper is all over the floor. Scott bought then and had them wrapped with several other gifts on the DR table. Somehow, she knew that one was for the dogs, snagged it off the table and went to town. I had to take a pic and send it to Scott ;)
Little bugger.

anyway--

Rae- what do you use for your back? I have Voltaren Gel and Flector Patches. The patches work better but they are so cold and gooey in this weather.
wondering if there is something better out there that I can see if my LLMD can prescribe.

Thank you for the advice and the good vibes. I can feel it!!

Jean- you had a lot going on getting that book done, it is no wonder that you needed extra sleep.yup, I have to remember that if things don't get done, they don't get done.
Please keep us posted on your cousin, I am sorry that it is cancer but am hopeful that it was caught early and that treatment will be successful.

Felis- Did you take pictures of the decorations of the cat's house? I have to see that!
As I was reading through that thread, I saw your comment about missing the 52 Coupon and was going to tell you to get in touch with Vicki, she would fix it. Then I kept reading and she already had. She is so good with that!

Better get going... xoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!!

good morning - yesterday was great as I got my hair done and I love that. Got home and my DH had gotten back from the eye doctor's and they found the start of a cataract and maybe glaucoma as the eye pressure is high. Oh the joys of getting older. He has to go back in a month to see if thing are changing. Not fun. Cooked a good steak dinner, simple but the sides were baked broccoli and potato then covered with cheese and lemon juice. OMgosh it was so good. And I made a chili butter to put on top of the steak. This does make cooking worth it. My son left his apt keys at home so he had to come home LOL. He was not happy! I stayed up too late watching hockey. The Vegas Golden Knights, the expansion team, were playing the Tampa Bay Lightning both teams are really good. They traded goals and with 2.3 seconds left in the game the Knights scored to win the game. Very exciting indeed. Got a lot of scrapping done and now need to post them. Not much going on today. Out to Panera's and then watch hockey LOL.

Chris so sorry for the downs. Dogs are pretty fun in just how smart they are. I am sure everyone will love their gifts! Bet those short breads are yummy. that is a bummer about getting a ticket though. Very Grinchy of the town to give tickets at this time of the year.

Rae OMgosh I hope your back is holding up. Glad your doctor was able to give you something. Feel better!

Jean so sorry to hear your cousin has cancer. Such an insidious disease! Not surprised you needed more sleep after all the work on the book and newsletter.

Trudy saw the photo on facebook so cute!
Felis love to see photos of cat area decorated!

Have a great day all!

DH did his weekly bird survey this morning and is napping now. We're meeting a friend for a bit this afternoon. Cousin is doing well apparently, so time will tell.

Felis, you sound just like the rest of us, not sure where the Santa remains went. Hope your busy work time is just for income and that the weekend will be time off for the holiday.

Chris, I hate when orders are mixed up like that. I guess it's good they at least came. Bummer on the parking ticket. Reminds me we just got word from our library that after Jan. 1 they will no longer charge fines. Weird but nice. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other is probably my only advice. Good luck with the day and that imp W.

Nancy, glad you got to get your hair done and could stay up late watching hockey. And another wonderful sounding dinner for you. Wow.

Rae, Trudy, Sharon and all, have a good one.

Good morning, ladies. We had our first snowfall last night, not much, just a few inches, but enough to stick on the ground and Taz had a blast playing at the river with another dog last night, before dinner. They were racing and jumping, energized by the cold and snow. He kept wanting to go outside constantly throughout the night. He was excited to get up this morning and race out into the snow again. Darrell was kind enough to heat my car up and scraped the ice off the windshield for me so I could get Taz to daycare. He gets his teeth cleaning this afternoon. I am interested to hear how it went b/c they don't use anesthesia and they swaddle the dog, lying them down, then cleaning.

Today I will get to the liquor store and get gift wrap. I need to do some wrapping later. I am determined not to leave it all until the last minute.

Chris - I had to laugh at W stealing the balls. Last night Darrell called me upstairs to see what Taz had. While I was taking laundry out of the machine, Taz snuck in and grabbed a wool covered dryer ball and was chowing down on it on the couch upstairs. At first D thought it was his toy but then realized that he didn't have a white ball so then he realized what it was....the little bugger. He's so funny though b/c he doesn't try to hide. It's like he's proud of what he has stolen LOL. That sucks about Gary getting a ticket. My cream is Diclofenac. Don't know how it compared to others but it seems to really take the edge off my discomfort.

Nancy - similar dinner to D's last night. He had steak and baked potato with cheese. I guess the good thing about your DH's eye exam findings is that maybe with catching it early, it is easier to treat maybe??? It reminds me that I need to get mine checked. I'm way overdo for it.

Trudy, Felis, Jean...and everyone else....hope all is well. Hope everyone has a great day. I'm getting to work for a few hours before heading out for errands.

I'm not much good in chatting past few days, sorry girls! But after the most of the TV shows that we watched finished and now is holiday program, with more movies and less series, the dynamic of the free time (and web use time) in my family is disordered. So I still couldn't find new rhythm when to prepare my posts. Also I used every free moment to scrap, till I still have inspiration that 12 Days brings me.
Nothing interesting happened around. Yesterday I made the last very serious cleaning of the cat house for this year. And ouch, it's too cold for that! I don't wanna washing the cat toilets at my bath, so I shoud do it at the yard and it wasn't fun at all. But better do it early than into the holidays, they said that the temperatures will going higher, but I don't think I'll be in mood for serious cleaning. Or for doing anything at all! Seriously my dreamed Christmas is just to lie down with a book and cookies.

Chris, here the Christmas eve is even more important than Christmas. And my sister (she is such a bless for our family) will have to cook vegan for 24th and then back to normally for 25th, but at least we have traditional meals, so she just will follow the festive menue. So bad about the mess with the gifts! But I hope they still to liked them. I think you and Nancy imagine my decoration much better than it is in real. These are just few balls and bells here and there. As far as I know the decoration in the past was something like pray or good spell for the upcoming year. I seriously doubt it that these plastic balls can have the power of handmade decoration from the past, but I can't risc undecorated house to bring us the anger of the fate.

Nancy, so great that you love your new hairstyle! Oh, so bad about your husband eye problems! Hope it's not too serious!

Jean, so sorry for your cousin, this serious diagnose must be very stressful for the whole family. But at least they are catch it up at the beginning, I hope! Hope you had fun with your friends!

Rae, this story about Taz is so sweet! He is so funny little guy! Ouch, bad about your back! It must be serious when you need cream with prescription. Take care for yourself!

Trudy and Sharon, I hope the holidays are good for your families!

Hugs to all!
Just one more working day for me yey! :cof2::sleep:
