:waving3:
hello, Lovely O-zies!
Slowly—very slowly—things seem to be coming together. Nothing is absolutely, completely crossed off the list with a Sharpie, but the ideas in my head are gelling a little more each day.
:pokestick: ~~> at the jelly in my brain. It's still mushy but seems a little firmer than yesterday morning. That's good!

I think I know what I am doing for the food gift baskets. I found a recipe for Friendship Soup in a Mason jar, Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies, and Banana Bread. Can you think of anything else small that I can add?
I'll run to the supermarket first thing tomorrow morning and grab the beans and barley. I think I have everything else I need. My big decision today is whether I want to make two kinds of soup and put them in smaller jars or do one soup in one regular jar. I'm thinking of the smaller jars since our parents only cook for two.

I am cleaning for my other friend this morning and then I'm not sure what I'll be up to in the afternoon. Yesterday I felt awful, not as bad as last week, but exhausted and achy and generally blergish. That's the technical term. Since I was struggling physically, I spent an hour or so working on the curriculum for the Winter HS session. I have 6 weeks of topics sketched out and a few activities for each. I'd love to get the Outline done today and sent to the Director.
Hopefully I can do that.

That gives me tomorrow and Friday to cook/bake.

i got this!!

xoxoxo

@vickyday I hope that your stomach is back to normal today. Nope, scratch that, I hope it is much better than normal. LOL
Will you be able to go to the school program today? *fingers crossed for you*

@taxed4ever have fun on your hike today, sending good weather vibes to you! Sounds like you had a productive shopping trip for sweaters, did you find some cozy PJs yesterday?
Lots of laughter coming from upstairs last night. Cait, Tom, and Scott showed me some of the haunted gifts they bought and they were *awful.* :rotfl: I knew when Caitlyn gave her gift to Scott because I heard him yell-laugh and then her cackle-snort.

@BrightEyes Great scores at Dollar Tree! Would you believe that I didn't shop at any dollar store this season? I feel like I should, just because what if I missed something cool? Then I think about driving down ( 30 minutes), parking, people-ing, and I think -- Nahhhhhh
:hahano:

@Cherylndesigns It makes me happy when I see you here. At the same time, I don't want you to feel pressured to pop in.
I'm overjoyed that that you have something fun and exciting to look forward to over the holidays, you and Susie will have a blast!

Hugs to you all! xoxoxox

Morning O friends, I slept in until 7:30!! Now I am scrambling to get ready for the hike today! The rain has stopped and it looks like we might even get a few glimpses of sunshine today, Hooray!! We are going to lower Banyon Falls today and the falls should be spectacular after the torrential rains we had all day and night! I managed to get some wrapping done and a card made for my sister's birthday and a Christmas Card for my hiking friend. I need to get the calendars sent out in the next few days to the printers in Ottawa and Stratford for the kids. I also have to get my own printed out yet too. No pj's shopping got done yesterday, it was just such a miserable rainy day I did not want to go out in that weather! Perhaps after my hike or tomorrow? Oh and tomorrow I am meeting an old high school friend for coffee and catch up, we haven't seen each other since the summer. Where does the time go???

@faerywings - Yup it is slowly all coming together and these next few days will be a whirlwind for DH and I to get our bags packed and figure out how we are going to pack all the stocking stuffers and other presents and manage to get all of our warm winter clothes in there too :giggle4: . Making the soup for your gifts to your parents is a great idea and I think putting them in smaller mason jars is the way to go! Hope that the cleaning for your friend goes well and you are not too tired after that! How fun to hear the laughter and snorts coming for upstairs last night! Your kids always have such a great time together! I am looking forward to the laughs and fun times with ours!!!

Ok I need to get my backpack ready and hit the road! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! :elf2:

Good morning ladies. I've had a very busy week, not much time online or scrapping. I've got full days/nights until Sunday and then things slow down. Whew. I've got to get out this morning to grab another gift for our secret santa exchange at the Friday pot luck/game night at the center. I'm meeting the ladies group for coffee before rushing off to canasta and then I'm coming home to make a jewelry piece to give to a friend at our ladies luncheon tomorrow.

We found a few movies to watch on Xmas Eve (Red One and Carry On).

@faerywings Bet it feels good to have some outlines for classes in the new year. You really seem to be thriving in this position. Sorry you felt yucky yesterday but you managed to get some things done so that is productive. The mason jars should be a hit. The peanut butter one has a catchy name!

I need to hop in the shower, get out for a minute with Remi and then head out for the day. HAGD everyone.

Good Morning!
I read what everyone was doing yesterday just never took the moment to write. It felt very weird not to have written my hello and comments. Todays a busy day. Our last dinner for the year. I will have the next two weeks off and start again in January. We are making pizza tonight. Always a huge deal and super busy but the kids love it. Its so much work we only do it twice, the end of each semester. You know it will be a long day when you start with 50lbs of flour.

I love this idea. I really like the idea of smaller jars. Soup can be made bigger if they want it but soup always makes so much. I really like the idea of two soups in smaller jars. They will love that!!!

Oh fun! This sounds like a fun time, even just listening.
Ok I need to get my backpack ready and hit the road! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! :elf2:
Have a fun hike! Hope the weather stays sunny and not wet.

Whew that is crazy busy!! Hope you have a moment to slow down and relax.

Have a wonderful day!

Our fridge are broken. We have the milk, butter etc out on the porch. Will try and find a repairman tomorrow, but yay .... Just before Christmas, not sure anyone will have the time. And if he needs spare parts, and have to order them ........ !!!

A Christmas without a fridge...... won't be any Christmas dinner then.

I'm so so so sick of everything right now.

Send chocolate!!!

Good afternoon everyone!
Busy day for me. Got up, showered, Ilene and her friend, Penny, picked me up for going to breakfast. Ilene needed a few groceries afterwards. I always dread it when Ilene says she needs to go to the grocery store.....she lallygags and looks at everything in the store.....even if she has a list, LOL! Well, I was pleasantly surprise today! She rushed through the store and only looked for what was on her list! Probably because after she dropped me off at home she was heading over to see her great grands with Penny. They all go to the same church.

I was home for about 1/2 hour before I had to leave again to go to a Christmas program put on by Kindergarteners.....Mark's granddaughter, Bella, and a little girl from our church, Ellie, were singing. I could not believe how many kids there were! There must have been 5 classes of kids! WOW! It was cute! Love watching those little ones doing the motions and trying to remember all of the words! They did a pretty good job!

After I left there I called Ilene to see if she was home yet because I was going to stop by on my way home. But she wasn't home yet. She called me back right as I got home. She wanted me to come over anyway, but I told her we would get together tomorrow to make a COSTCO and Olive Garden run. She was good with that! That woman loves to eat! The doctor told her she was pre-diabetic and her triglycerides were too high when she went for bloodwork recently. She said, "I guess I need to cut back on my fried foods and sweets!" Do you think, woman?! ;). Love her to pieces!

Leftovers for supper tonight, so that is taken care of. And since I took my shower this morning I am basically ready for church except to change clothes. So, I guess I will work on my Bible Study after I finish this and then spend the rest of the afternoon working on the pictures I took today at the school.

I still haven't done anything about my crashed EHD. I haven't decided if I want to mess with it or not. I may just look through my gallery and decide what pages I want to print and remake them. But that also means finding the kits in my orders or just ordering them again.

Anyway, have a great afternoon/evening!

I found a recipe for Friendship Soup in a Mason jar, Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies, and Banana Bread. Can you think of anything else small that I can add?
What if you included aluminum pans for them to make their goodies in? Except for the soup, of course, but that would be good for the bread and cookies!
Yesterday I felt awful, not as bad as last week, but exhausted and achy and generally blergish.
Watch yourself, or you will be getting down and out and end up missing the holiday! :hug2:
@vickyday I hope that your stomach is back to normal today. Nope, scratch that, I hope it is much better than normal. LOL
Will you be able to go to the school program today? *fingers crossed for you*
Stomach is not 100% but better than the last couple of days. I just ate fruit when I went to breakfast with Ilene and Penny.
Was able to go to the school program today! Thanks!
Ok I need to get my backpack ready and hit the road!
I'm sure your hike is about over by now! Hope you had sunny trails!
I've got full days/nights until Sunday and then things slow down. Whew.
Your "slow down" days put most of us to shame, Rae! ;)
You know it will be a long day when you start with 50lbs of flour.
OH...MY...WORD!!! This is not for just one meal, is it?

Oh no, Eva! That is awful! So sorry! :hug4:

Stumbling in a bit later than usual... Started scrapping with Joyce Paul's Winter mini and paper fillers this morning... WOW... love the Paper Fillers as I can reduce the size and use them as photo images on pages!!! Then DD#1 called and we chatted for almost an hour. Funny had time slips away when we are talking. Finished the 2 LOs and got them posted in the galleries.
@BrightEyes Great scores at Dollar Tree! Would you believe that I didn't shop at any dollar store this season? I feel like I should, just because what if I missed something cool? Then I think about driving down ( 30 minutes), parking, people-ing, and I think -- Nahhhhhh
:hahano:
I wouldn't drive that far either, Chris... I have 3 of them within 3 miles of me so I usually go to the one closer to my house as it is a larger one and carries more than the others do. I do agree that making the soup in the smaller mason jars is the way to go especially for your mom and dad.

We found a few movies to watch on Xmas Eve (Red One and Carry On).
Oh, you will like the Carry On... I just watched it and it kept me guessing the whole way through!!! Really enjoyed. The Red One is on my 'watch list', too.

Good Morning!

WOW that is a lot of flour and will make a ton of pizzas... No wonder you only do that at the end of the semesters.

Looks like today will be a PJ day as it is after noon now and I am still in PJs... :giggle4: Think it will also be a 'do nothing' but maybe watch movies (on DVDs, Netflix or Peacock) and/or read. I finished the books from the library but still have the ones from the Senior Citizen Center library. Yes, last nigh I did cook up the taco meat but was tired by then so just made soft shell tacos with guacamole. Will make the taco salad tonight.
