The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Ten more days until the Solstice and then we get some extra light :sunout:
Not that I'd see any sunshine today but it's fine, the Earth needs the rain. And that was my lesson for yesterday, the last day of the HS session. It was rainy yesterday too which made the lesson a little difficult at times.
What really made the session difficult was two out of the five kids were off the rails. The one mom warned me when the kids got out of the car that she was. I started with a breathing exercise that had them slightly more grounded and then it went back to Bonkersville. Oh well. I tried.
The water filtration experiment was really awesome though. We built two filters out of soda bottles, gravel, sand, and either coffee filters or cotton balls. We used the dirty, mucky water from the soil shake jar and compared the filtration. After running it through a few times, one of the filters made a *huge* difference.

Gary and I were going to visit Scott and the kids today. He is/was babysitting Sophia and Logan but they both have Covid. Poor little ones :( And I was supposed to clean for my friend this afternoon but he is also sick.

That's all good though. I --- sit down for this, you are gonna be surprised-- still haven't finished Cait's album, my house is a mess, I have laundry leaking out of my closet, etc and so on and so forth- and could use a "free" day. :giggle4:

BFFs surgery is scheduled for noon which means I am going to be looking at the clock from then on.
I told her that I wished I could have hugged her person, but she said that would have made us both cry so it's just as well...
Any good thoughts you have are *always* appreciated.
You are the best!

xoxoxo

@mimes1 I can imagine how excited you are to have Belle back home. I am over the moon that Caitlyn never left and that Tom is happy to be here with us. I miss having Scott home but I can't complain since I see him often enough. But it feels different when they are under the same roof ♥
BTW, I adore your new siggie! It is very "you."

@BrightEyes brrrrr!! I hope that the weather warms up. Did you make it into PJ day? Or at least a comfy fleece type of day?
I hope that the hot drinks helped your throat. We foraged pine/spruce needles to make tea with the class yesterday. One of the boys was coughing (getting over a cold) and I was hoping that would help him. He was the only one who wouldn't try it. Naturally. LOL
yay for finding the new pizza. I am usually a fan of sweet and salty (I love chocolate-covered pretzels :chocolate:) but don't enjoy pineapple pizza.
I would love to try your border challenge, maybe with my "free" day, I'll have time??

@taxed4ever Don't panic about the stocking stuffers. If you do, then I will and I don't know how/what/where I am getting them this year! :flyswatter:
How awesome that your Gary is hiking with you today! How have his knees been feeling? The hike should be ok for him? Not that he would tell you otherwise right? :lol23:

Blimey Chris isn't as Lymey
Do I have to admit that I read this with a British accent? :floorlaugh:
That's so inspiring that you were able to work on your friend's scrapbook *after* the event. I will shoot for finishing in time but without the pressure, and go from there. It's nice to feel like I have options:)
WTG on pacing yourself on your "day off."
TWO DAYS in a row I haven't had to leave!!! WOO HOOO
Yay!!!!

@bcgal00 That sounds very relaxing, putting the beads all together and seeing the results in jewelry. I like that it seems like you get fast results. That was one of my problems with crocheting. It always took so long for me to finish anything, I'd give up.

@BoatLady I am so sorry that you are still in so much pain, I hope that it is getting much better each day but I am dreading the PT for you. TY for letting us know how you are doing but please don't type if it hurts :hug2:

@vickyday That's a long day at the widow's meeting but it sounds like you are doing great with it and really connecting with the women. It must make you happy to know that you are helping everyone in some way. ♥
Have a fan PJ day today and hope you get good news about the car!

So glad the filtration project worked.......even with the two derailed kids!
He is/was babysitting Sophia and Logan but they both have Covid
Sure hope Scott doesn't end up with COVID!

TAKE a free day.......the rest will still be there after you have rejuvenated!

Have a fan PJ day today and hope you get good news about the car!
I told them yesterday that even though I am married again, I still consider myself a widow. And the comment was they knew I know what they are going through! I just want to be a blessing in some small way to them! I do know exactly how they feel and wouldn't wish widowhood on anyone!
In my PJs as we speak! ;)
I sure hope all is finally well with the car! FOR SURE!

Good morning,
I have my veggie soup for tonight cooking as we speak. It smells soooo good! I may have to test it to make sure it is as delicious as it smells because I don't want to poison anyone! ;) I will make my Mexican cornbread this afternoon before we leave so it is warm when we eat at 5:30.

Plans for today.......PJs and scrapping! I did get another Event challenge done last night.

Nothing on the car yet today. The mechanic was to have gotten a computer board or something delivered yesterday to try! So no telling when that arrived at the shop. We shall see!

Have a marvelous day!

Good Morning Lovely O Fam!

Do I have to admit that I read this with a British accent? :floorlaugh:
Well yes, you have to read it as it was written!!!!! :floorlaugh:

UGH! Computers, even in a car. What a pain. I hope that this solves all the problems and you soon have your car back.

Today is Wednesday so I will be leaving before the sun is up! Sunrise is 10 a.m. right now. Tonight is enchilada casserole. Basically we rip up the tortillas and layer like a lasagna so that its easy to scoop and less work. Can not roll 150 enchilada and expect to have enough. So we find if its more shredded it goes farther. Those who dont want to eat it take minimal and those who love it take big scoops. It all levels out better. This month is flying by and I was looking forward to January and slowing down but man my schedule is filling up faster than expected. Still raining and yucky. We are basically a huge ice rink. Main roads are okay but everything else is just a massive skate rink. With more rain on the way. Frozen ground doesn't absorb water.

Well, time for more coffee and checking out today game and seeing more beautiful layouts. HAGD.

Good morning ladies. I've got a busy day - morning coffee with friends, canasta in the afternoon, home for a few hours and then off to dinner with friends. No jewelry making today. I made two bracelets last night. I'm expecting a big order to be delivered today. It's so much fun to organize my stash :)

I ordered a 20 lb smoked turkey for Xmas (fresh from the farm and they smoke it so I just need to heat it up). I need to find some good turkey broth for my homemade dressing which I'll bake in the oven. They only take 48 orders so I was lucky to get in on time as the list was almost full.

@faerywings Sending good thoughts and prayers for your BFF today.

@AK_Tracy Drive careful. Our side streets are ice rinks too.

@vickyday Yum, soup! I have been thinking about making taco soup soon and adding in extra veggies.

I'm off to check the gallery and forum for a few min and then need to get dressed and get out with Remi for a few min before heading out for the day.

HAGD everyone.

Busy, busy, busy.... :busy1: :busy1: :busy1: I spent a couple of hours yesterday just commenting on the Day 10 border LOs... so many fabulous and different borders!!! Haven't had time to do my commenting on the ones that have been posted since then. Had to do some scrapping after that and early this morning. Of course, I had to find some images to use with the yet to be released kits/collections.

Yes, Chris... I did take a PJ day yesterday in my warmest and comfy PJ. No cooking for supper... the pork steak with BBQ sauce was just as delicious as it was a couple of days ago. WHAT??? you don't like Hawaiian pizza??? :shakingsense: (psss: my DH didn't like it either so I didn't get it except when the girls were coming over.) Yes, the hot drinks did help the scratchy throat. I am with you on waiting to hear how the surgery goes for DD#1. Hope you can find time to play in Border Challenge.

@bcgal00 I know how much fun you must be having with beading. I have the same bead board... it makes it so much easier to design bracelets and especially necklaces! Makes me want to pull my supplies out and play with them again.

@Cherylndesigns So glad the family came up and helped set up the tree and other decorations.

@AK_Tracy Sunrise at 10AM... Be careful when out and about... hope the roads are not too Icey.

Gotta run... have a whole boatload of things to get done. HAGD

Hello my friends. Surprise! I saw Kay @BrightEyes mention my name and thought I'd pop in. Yes, it was wonderful that Adrienne, Ava and Drake came over and put my tree up and other decorations.

Sending best wishes to everybody and Chris @faerywings Im so sorry your Lyme's is back. SO sorry. Best thoughts to your BFF - I'm sure you wish you were with-her right now. The sun is shining here and I wish I could send you some.

Adrienne and I are going to Walmart this afternoon - I know, we're crazy.

Hugs to all. :grouphugyay:
