HelloOOO O-Fam and a happy Wednesday to you all. It is already pretty gross outside, 74* and 93% humidity and it is only 7 am. It is going to be another hot one. And lucky me, I have some boxes that have to go in the attic today. I am only shoving them up to the top of the stairs, no point in moving them around until it is cooler.

Yesterday was a pretty decent day. I was able to get the invites all ordered. MIL is going to help me address them since my handwriting is horrible. That felt great to cross off of my list. But then when I was visiting with my brother, he started to ask me for opinions about my dad's 80th birthday party which will be 2 weeks after the anniversary party. (and 2 weeks before Thanksgiving but who want to think about *that*??)

We ended up going up to Wawayanda State Park. It wasn't too hot in the wooded area and we were right near the lake so there was a breeze. Christopher was tired so we didn't stay too long but it was fun seeing him play a bit.
He wanted to see the rats but I told them that they were resting. I didn't think that he would like seeing Clover's tumors. That baby is more tumor than rat, but is still happy and getting around. She can't climb anymore but scoots herself around the bottom of the cage. It is covered in fleece so she doesn't get irritated. Caitlyn and I were snuggling them and she was chuckling and boggling- signs that she is content. And she loved her dried cranberries and walnuts treats. :)

I started to scrap a page for ILs album but I need to work some more on it today. I am planning on working in the yard, cleaning up the stuff that is dead in the morning so I can scrap/work inside this afternoon.

what fun plans do you all have today?

Nancy- are you and Luther ready for the heat today? The shrimp dinner sounds really good, I love fresh ginger. What was your chicken recipe?

Jean- great idea to spend a hot day at the movies, hoping that you were able to keep cool yesterday as well and enjoyed your frozen custard :hungry:
The last movie that I saw in a theater was probably 8 or so years ago. Sounds like the seats have changed for the better!

Rae- poor D! Hope that everything went well with his exam. I still have fingers and toes crossed for B and that she gets the treatment that she needs soon.

Felis- we do most of our shopping online as well but because it is harder for Gary and I to get anywhere out of our small town to get what we need. It is crazy how different things cost and how salaries are different too. It isn't boring at all too me. It is good to know different perspectives of things all around the world.

I would love to be able to buy books but I try to not buy them since I can borrow them for free from the library. I got the Harry Potter hardcover set from my parents for my birthday to "replace" the ones that I have but I won't touch them, they are more as a collectible until the ones that I have all dog-eared fall apart.
The place where went for the picnic allows dogs, on-leash. This is the place where my car broke down the day Cait and I took Ray and Jaida for a hike a couple of years ago, and it took 4 hours for the tow truck to show up.

Speaking of scarves- I better get working on the cowl that I was crocheting a few months ago. It is 90% done and I think it will be so cozy when I am ready to wear it. I think I have enough yarn left to make a little hat too.

Love that cat picture!

good morning - it is hot and humid but we should get thunderstorms tonight and start the cool down. I don't want it this hot but I sure like not having to go out without hat, coat and gloves. Sleeping was pretty easy with fan. I slept all the way to 7:30 which is late for me. And them my DH was still home as he has a dentist appt. After he left Luther refused to take no for a walk even though I told him it was too hot. So went on a walk and now he is in the resting. Opps my DH just came home and has to go back to the dentist when they have more time to do what he needs done. So now the poor boy is out mowing the lawn. It is hot and I sure he will be dripping when he comes back in! Got more pages done for the Alaska album. This is making me happy. I will do more of the same today. And tonight is my night out with my girlfriend for dinner. Yea no cooking. Wow last night's dinner was so good. It was a Tuscan season blend to coat the chicken breast, then couscous with green beans and zucchini and tomatoes. Very summery!

Chris glad you went to a park. I bet he had a great time even though he was tired. I cannot believe you have those events all with weeks of each other. Crazy! I hope your brother will help. Sounds like you have made a great start with the invitations. Stay cool!

Jean the movie sounds interesting! Glad you had a cool day planned fill with a yummy treat. And yes I love the new stadium seats that you find in the movie theaters these days. They are nice!

Rae thanks so much for the favs on my photos in Flickr. I know there are some I really like but always fun to see what others enjoy! Love your photos of Taz! So funny how people hate colonoscopy but really it is the getting ready that is the pits - as you are not even awake for the procedure. The best part is the eating afterwards.

Felis economies around the world are so varied as each government subsidies and negotiates what it feels best for that country. And of course countries that are large with vast resources use their might. It is always mind boggling to realize the disparity. One can only live ones best life in ones country. I think you are doing this. I am not sure that the digital artists at the O do it totally for the money though of course that is important but don't you think that they love the art of creating and then seeing what we do with their products is almost more satisfying. loved the photo of the cat!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I won't be on the computer much this morning as I need to get as much work done as possible before I take D to the hospital for his procedure this morning. Then I'll come home for a few hrs to work some more and then go back to pick him up later. I wish the hospital were closer but the one by us doesn't do that procedure so we have to drive 40 min further. Oh well....it's necessary. Gotta do what you gotta do LOL.

Chris - enjoy being outside this morning and hope you get some scrapping done later. I need to work on my upcoming inspirations challenge but this wk has been so busy I just can't find the time yet.

Nancy - am following you on flickr now. It was fun to see your photos. Sure brought back memories of my trip a few yrs ago. It still breaks my heart that I lost almost all my photos due to a computer crash a wk after loading them into the computer and kept forgetting to make a second copy to an EHD. I sure learned my lesson and now backup all photos right away.

Trudy, Felis, Jean....hope all is well. I'm getting to work now for a few hours before heading out with D to the hospital. Have a great day!

Already feeling the heat but started the day feeling refreshed. Thunderstorms are coming and a nice cool day tomorrow. I'm dreading it though as I return to the dentist to have the tooth out. Yesterday we had such a treat at the custard place. I had a scoop each of chocolate custard and black raspberry sorbet.

My friend of the long calls phoned and my ear is sopping. Have to wave personals today, it's just too hot.
