Well, we are down to one last week before Cait heads back to school. Oops, nope, I lied. Scott goes back on the 2nd, Cait on the 3rd. I totally have to work on my Sept calendar. :fear:
Body is tuning into the Sept alarm clock. I was up at 4.30. Yippee. Yay. Meh!

Before I blabber on about my day, Sharron needs some good thoughts: Request
I hope that things get sorted out soon for your GDD. Nj has a weird anti-bully law in the schools, HIB, but it ended up causing more paperwork, and time away from actual teaching, that a lot of the teachers only focus on the really blatant stuff. :(

The RD was fantastic! She was so gentle in talking to Cait about her calorie intake (about 800 cals a day! Made my heart drop) and her protein needs. She didn't talk to her in saying you must do XYZ... but framed it in the more energy you give your body, the better you will feel. Cait was totally receptive to that. She took us through the store and showed some different choices for her. That ShopRite is AMAZING!!!!! It has such a huge selection of everything that mine does not. They also do a Shop From Home, so whenever I can get the deals on the fees, I am going to do my shopping and pick up there.
We got greek yogurt with chia seeds, organic energy bites from the bulk bins, nutritional yeast for her to add to her food to boost protein and B vitamins, and some veggie burgers that are not made with soy. Due to my estrogen-fueled breast cancer history, her dr wants her to limit the amount of soy in her diet. if she likes all of these things, we can go back and get them again.
And can I just got a big woot-woot that her hives were not a nut allergy??? Could you even imagine? Ah!!!

Today I am cleaning my kitchen from top to bottom. It has been months and months that I have done more than scrubbing the sink and cleaning the counters. With the whole fam coming up on Sat. this gives me incentive to do that. I wrote a list on the board for the rest of my fam to work on-- we will see if any of it gets done. Anyone want to take bets?;)

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! Good vibes to all!

Nancy- yikes!!! What a day!! I truly hope that yesterday was better. Glad that DH's joints are ok, but it is not helpful to hear it is due to age. He is very active though, right? That has to help in the long run.
hahah about Puppy Watch- glad that they were better, and relieved for you that you didn't have to go again. But didn't you miss puppy kisses?? I know not everyone loves puppy kisses as much as I do. ;)
I wasn't a big fan of food either, so I get where she is coming from. I just want her to be healthy. She has so many genetic issues (diabetes/osteoporosis/cancer) in her history as well as chronic Lyme. I can't help but worry.
Enjoy today, looks to be a fab weather one!

Trudy- so sorry to hear you had a funeral to go to :( But very hapy for you that you are having a great time with the grands. The pics of you on FB were beautiful and happy! Lots of good scrap material!!!

Good healing thoughts to you and your sister Jean. Is there anything that they can do to help the pain? Her poor body, such stress on it :(

Hugs and looooove!!!!

good morning - what a gorgeous day in NJ. Sun and low humidity - my favorite kinda day! Yesterday since my son was home and he was puppy watching I took him out to lunch. It is not often I get him alone - during hockey season I do but not during the summer and I know he is stressed with the 3 puppies. Well Danny was at it again around 2am Tuesday morning he got up on a counter and knock off all my DIL plants and broke the ceramic plant holders. So he was up cleaning for an hour. Poor boy. And then he found the dog chewed his NJ Devils flip flops. Needless to say he will never be taking care of this dog again. He says his ILs are not training the dog so he just runs wild. I will be checking on them today. We had a great lunch. Other than that I was just tired. I had awakened at 4:30 and could not go back to sleep. Naps are awesome. Watched The Mets win again and the poor Yankees got stomped on.

Chris so glad that the RD was such a good experience. I would imagine that she would be helpful to anyone. Always fun to find a good grocery store! I found out my A&P is going to be turning into an Acme. That will be interesting. And I do not like puppy kisses at all. There one dog loves to give kisses and I hate it. Too funny how people react to dog kisses.

Sharron so sorry for all the bullying your DGD is going through. I hope the school can help while she is there. Kids can be so mean.

Jean hope your sister's chemo treatment went well. Sending hugs. Sorry about your baseball team. With the addition of the 2 wild cards so many teams are still in the race. I like that.

Have a great day all!

Cloudy and chilly again today. Sister's oncologist put off her chemo from yesterday for four weeks. Needs to build her strength back up and he'll work on a pain management plan. Great that she didn't have to get it in terms of right now, but still she needs it. Thanks for the good wishes.

Chris, hope Cait likes the new things from the store and takes t heart what the RD had to say. Sounds like you really are regaining strength yourself.

Nancy, hope the dogs are good today, but they sure have caused trouble. Not being a dog fan, I can't imagine it.

Sharron, adding my wishes that your DGD gets needed intervention and the ringleader gets help too. Can't understand this horrible behavior.

Hope it's a better day for all.
