Good morning and happy Wednesday! I am sorry to keep on complaining but sheesh, it is soooo cold! I'm freezing, my hands are like ice cubes. My BFF and I were both feeling down about the end of summer and the weather is just making it feel like Fall already. We spent much of the afternoon consoling ourselves. Pretty pathetic :giggle4:
It was sort of funny as I was doing the run-down of everything still up in the air. When I laid it all out in a single half hour, it was a lot. I don't even think I mentioned here that the MoB I ordered is perhaps *not* ordered? When I log in to check the shipping status, there is no record, it says that the order number/email combination doesn't exist. But I have the confirmation email with an order number, so... I should be getting it. Hopefully. Maybe? Who the heck knows anymore? :what!:

At least we know of one definite. Cait and Tom have decided 100% that or not going to buy the house. There was some possible back and forth, the septic issues were resolved but they didn't feel comfortable working with the other lawyer. When she terminated the contract, Caitlyn also canceled the lock on the interest rate and they have gone up again so that made the payment more than she budgeted for. It's too bad that the other lawyer was awful, he pretty much tanked the deal on his own.
Scott had us in stitches last night with stories of people at the festival. There are some pretty far-out attendees. He and Sam have a meeting/interview with their potential landlord and if that goes well, they will sign the lease today and the move-in date is set for Sept 15.

Things sure are plugging along, eh?
I am picking up my grocery order this morning then will be making a list of what I have to go back and get in-store tomorrow. Who knows, maybe they were able to combine the two but not through the website. I am off to clean for my friend this afternoon, and the way things have been going the past few weeks, I am going to take my time so I don't lose a toe or two. Don't knock anything off the walls, Faery, or you'll end up like this :knifehead:
Hahahahaha!

Today, I am grateful for my BFF. I don't know what I would do without her.

Good morning ladies. I didn’t make it to the gardening class last night. By the time the workday is over, I have absolutely nothing left in the tank. I took a 2 hour nap which was enough that I got through the rest of the evening. And I still slept through the night.

I’m going to a card making class on Saturday. Hopefully, being on Saturday will give me some extra energy!

Still waiting to hear resolution on the lot we are buying. Because of a future road that will be going in (probably after I am dead), the HOA building covenants would make the land unbuildable, between setbacks and minimum square footage and minimum width. We have told them that we will not proceed with the purchase without a waiver in writing. The board is supposed to discuss it on Thursday. They say it is no problem but I didn’t get to be this age believing what people tell me.

Other than that, Syd starts school this morning. Hoping this is a good year!

@faerywings glad that Cait and Tom have made the decision on the house. It is disappointing but don’t want a bad situation on the first house. Fingers crossed for Scott and Sam. And big hugs for you!

@LSlycord Oh, I could just hug you through the screen. :hug1:
I'm feeling really like I can do this thing called life.
Me too! I am struggling and trying and one minute feeling strong and then next-- kind of a mess. But we got this! Focus on the little things, such as the smaller successes like 4 meals planned out- and they will add up to the bigger ones. Well, that is what I tell myself. GOOD for you on going to the class!!! As you know, I am trying to do the same and I think it makes a difference.
Hope that Syd had fun at the bash and good luck today for the official start of the semester.

@vickyday I like fall for only two things, I can bake and make soups and Halloween. Other than that, it's just the season before the dreaded winter. For me, it is Summer 1st, then spring.
ITA with you about meeting people for reasons. I was happy with myself that I had stayed at CC. If no one was there on the first day I went, I doubt I would have stayed or tried again.
I can imagine that the middle of the blanket is dragging but once you get to decreasing, the rows will fly by again. Hope your stomach is better today.

@BrightEyes Thank goodness that you are monitoring your BP so closely and very smart of you to grab the walker since you were dizzy. You do *not* want to add a fall into your agenda, nuh uh! How was the BP yesterday? That's how I take my extra Zoloft, the 100 mg/day isn't enough but the 125 is too much. So I take the extra 25 mg M-W-F.
My goodness, 4 books in a week!? BFF read 10 books since July and I was in awe of her for that. 4 books a week times 8 weeks-- that would equal 32 books in the same time!

If I could send you the cooler weather and some rain, I really would! My friend is in Vegas on vacation and I haven't had to water her plants yet. Today I will but we'll have rain tomorrow and Friday so it will only need to be done today.

@Cherylndesigns Thank goodness for a good night's sleep. Hope you got in another good night last night as well. I think being out in the sun all day, plus getting stuff off my chest, and having both kids home helped me, I slept like a freaking boulder last night. Not a rock. Better.
I saw the LO you did if Asher, OMG I was cracking up!
I hope that Adrienne is back on her feet soon but she has to take time to adjust to everything.
I am going to have to add Suits to the watch list.

@Nonni F Hellloooooo!!!! :wazzup:

@bcgal00 Any update on the house? All good vibes to you on getting a good offer soon. You seem like you are feeling a little better than the day before too. You seemed so down and I wished I could have given you a big hug IRL. How fun to get some new PJs, I know that you girls love that store.
We stopped watching Lucifer soon after Eve showed up. I still liked it but Gary hated it so we stopped watching it. Should I pick it up again? We are loving the second season of Good Omens. Thinking of demons and all LOL

HAGD!!

Our land was "supposed" to have been bought out by the state in 2008 for road improvement....We are still here and still on the proverbial back burner. I would love to replace these old, crank-out windows, but I'm not going to put the money into a project for the state to come in and bulldoze everything down!

Fall is that for me, too....the beautiful season before the dreaded dead season! I do love the soup seasons! The only thing I like about winter is Christmas and the slim chance of taking pictures of the snow being in NC and soup. We usually get one "good" picturesque snow fall.

Good morning ladies,
I did get a call from Ilene yesterday but was busy creating pages with pre-release, which I rarely ever do, and then forgot to call her back. I will call her in a bit.
No plans for the day but knitting and audiobooking. BLTs for supper before church.
Today I am thankful to be retired!

Morning, gals. Had crazy dreams last night about finding more and more laundry all over the house and the washing machine making crazy noises. Guess that means I should do the laundry today... :floorlaugh:

The BP stayed in the normal range yesterday (no new BP meds taken) but I was feeling tired all day so I mainly read. I wasn't dizzy so didn't need the walker. Just took my BP (before taking both BP meds) and it is in the normal range. Will check it again in a few hours. If it is okay, I will see about taking the books back to library and do a quick run to the grocery store.
Actually it was 4 books in 5 days... which is about average for me.

I think the kids are wise to step back from buying that house. Hope Scott and Sam's interview for the apt goes well... and they get it. Yikes... about the MoB dress order not being found in the system!!! Hope it is just a glitch and it arrives soon.

@LSlycord hope the PTB get on the ball and send you a waiver about the restrictions on the land! You are smart to get it in writing before going through with buying the land.

@bcgal00 So sorry that the smoke from the fires are so bad. WOW never heard of shutting down all the roads and telling people to stay inside. Hope that doesn't interfere with your flight/cruise.

Coffee cup is empty... and the body needs it this morning. CYL

Good morning ladies. We got feedback from the realtor saying the couple have said maybe. They are looking for a deal, wanting to do renovations on a cheaper home, personalizing it, which I understand so we dropped the price $20,000. We won't go any lower, we need that money to get us a decent home in Alberta and their prices have gone up a lot. So, they will think about it. We have another showing tomorrow so fingers are crossed. If we don't sell in the next month and then have to wait until spring to list again, I worry about the pricing and bidding wars over there at that time but I have to hope things will work out. I hate leaving this home, I love it, but I'm willing to buy a smaller, less attractive home over there for a higher price because at least we'll have access to better medical care and the wildfire danger is much less around the Calgary area compared to here. So, fingers crossed, prayers said and we just have to stay positive.

My shingles has cleared up nicely, no pain now, just a tingly, itchy feeling which is irritating but just feels like a bunch of mosquito bites now.

Today I can get outside with the dogs, the air quality index finally dropped down to 2 (instead of 13), yay. We still have orange sky but some blue is showing now. Remi will be thrilled to go to the dog park and run. She's been really good this past week about not being able to expel the aussie energy but I know she is restless.

@faerywings As frustrating as it is, walking away from the house deal sounds like the best thing for C&T. S&S must be so excited to be getting their apartment soon. I know you are dreading the end of summer but for me, it's the opposite. I am looking forward to the next 3 seasons. Summer out here is too brutal with the heat and wildfires. This morning it was 55 and I was so happy to feel cooled off (mind you, my body runs hot, so 55 feels like 70 to me). I was out there in capris and a thin t-shirt, Jen thought I was nuts LOL.

@LSlycord How frustrating about the land purchase. Hope the card class this wkend is fun and lifts your spirits.

@vickyday I like soup season too (crockpot or pressure cooker makes it fast and easy).

I'm getting coffee and then will hop in the shower. D is heading out to his wound care appointment. I will enjoy today at home (except for the dog park trip). HAGD everyone.

Glad to hear your shingles are almost gone!

Good afternoon all.

I did sleep better last night, Chris @faerywings and glad you got a laugh out of the layout I did of Asher on his first day of school. Steph was upset that she didn't get better pics, but they worked out perfectly for that challenge. We're lucky that he'll still "humor us" by holding the sign - we've programmed him since PreK. We've always told him that he HAS to do it until his Senior year. Poor kid. :floorlaugh::lol23:

Adrienne was feeling better yesterday, finally. She just needed to quit pushing herself.

Sounds good to me that the kids pulled out of that deal. The whole thing sounded fishy to me and when you get a "questionable" attorney involved - oh boy. They usually stir the pot anyway and I never liked it when they were involved. Good news about Scott and Sam though - it sounds like you're accepting this like a boss. :yourock:

I'm going to run right now (pop out) but I'll TRY to "pop back in" later. I have to do the GSO blog post today and as you know, it's a time cruncher. I'm pretty much caught up on my scrapping committments, so I can concentrate on the post.

HAGD XOXO
