Happy whateverdayitistodayinthecrazytimeof2020!
Heck, at least I have the year right, ha!!!!! (talk to me in January and see if I can it right then). How was your whateverdayitwasyesterdayinthecrazytimeof2020? Mine was good. I am not sure what I did. S'all a blur. I know I was weeding in the afternoon and my ILs came up to drop off some fabric for Caitlyn, some cables/wires for Gary - and a BJs tray of cookies. (not only for me even though I am going to the one to eat them all) :hungry:
I am bummed that it is starting to feel more like Autumn. It is always colder in my house than it is outside in the sun and the mornings have been very chilly here. The plants are getting that "spent" look to them. I clipped a bunch of herbs and will star drying them, I wish I had more small jars to keep them in. I wonder if I have any glass jars from my Faery-Wings supplies I can use? Every year I try to bring the herbs inside and they never quite make it. And I don't know what happened to another African Violet that had been doing great and then *poof* Dead. I have an outdoor green thumb and an indoor black one.:

Today. Hmm. What am I going to do today? The weather isn't looking great so I not sure if it will be a good day to get outside. I slept so much better last night but I am still very tired. Still no word from the washing machine repair guy. Scott brought down another load to run while he is at Leah's today.
At this moment, I feel like today would make for a great pajama day. Do you think that will last? Probably not. I tend to think it is a good idea, then I end up getting involved in something usually cleaning-related.

Gratitudes:
-that we can use Leah's washing machine
-Michelle Obama's speech and her inspiration
-that research into COVID immunity is looking more promising, whew

xoxo

Trudy- your weather sounds wonderful- warm in the sun but fresh air through your house. How wonderful to get a visit in with the ILs and to swim as well. How did your "do nothing" day" go? Did it stay a do nothing? I would put my $ on "No." :D
Enjoy your hike today and be sure to take some pretty photos.
I know, I feel horrible for Ray, especially b/c she knows that something isn't right.
It is hard to not hug people, not hugging my mom is about killing me, but it has to be. I am very lucky that my immediate family is "huggy" and even Scott lets me hug hm about every day.
Hope that the Bruins continue to play well. :cheer2:

Kay- what a productive day you had. And a haircut must make you feel like a new woman! My mom was able to get one yesterday, she had an appt at 7 am and she is thrilled. Mine is a mess but it needs more than just a cut so it is going to stay in its frizzy ponytail/baseball cap a while longer.

Nancy- you are so good staying on top of your skin. Glad that the spots are just that and nothing more. MG sounds like she is just the perfect addition to your family.
How many hockey games do you have on tap for today?

Cheryl- I bet you conk out as soon as your head hits the pillow. I take melatonin before bed. I think if I had tea, I would be up to go to the bathroom all night long.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I would be freaking out if the moving date got switched like that! But in a way it might be a good thing- less time to stress. For me, a lot of my stress is created by waiting/anticipation.
Good luck with all of that and I am sending some extra snuggles to Daisy. And a peanut butter bone. *nods* My pups will share theirs, they know it is the one and only thing that can distract them for a bit.

Morning everyone! It is not a cloudy as the forecast was calling for, so it will be a great day to do our hike! The wind has finally died down which is really good because the storm we had the other day started 6 fires here in the Valley. One is not too far from the Sister's place and it is still not under control. Helicopters and planes flying over head to pick up water from the lake right in front of my sisters place, she said there was one every 5 mins. :fear: Sure hope that they get it under control today now that the wind is not a factor. I have my bag all packed and I am ready to go so thought I would quickly pop in here for a minute.

Chris - My day was good yesterday, I did get outside and did some weeding along the side of the hill going to the back yard. I needed to grab the step ladder to get up there though and man there were lots of weeds to pull :mmph: Oh well its finally done, I have been looking at it for weeks and saying "I really need to get up there and pull those"! Other than that my day is kind of a blur. I started a page for Vicki Robinson's challenge, but then got distracted and started working on a card and doing some online shopping for things that I really don't need LOL. Seems I am saving money on clothing, but spending more on craft items LOL. Hope that you get to be outside at some point today. Glad that you had a better sleep, the cooler air at night really helps me to sleep better! I am not ready for summer to be done with yet, hopefully our September will be lovely and warm! Enjoy your whateverdayitistodayinthecrazytimeof2020!

Kay - Wow you did a lot yesterday! How wonderful to finally get your hair done! I bet it feels so much better! Nice and short and easy to care for that is great!

Nancy - How great to have a son and almost DIL to bring you food!! Wish someone would do that for me, but everyone is too far away :mmph: I had a great facetime with our son and family yesterday and they are starting to panic about sending the kids back to school. Sure hope it works out, but if not at least one of them can work from home and make sure they get their education. I can't imagine having to do that  Hope you enjoy your hockey today and that you and Luther have gotten in a good walk this morning!

Cheryl - Yikes I would be freaking out if I were you!! Hopefully it will all work out for the best and you get your move all done quickly and without incident!

Ok off I go... its a bit of a drive to get to the trailhead this morning, so I better get a move on! Have a lovely day today!

I slept in this morning until 7:30AM!!! WOW... usually up by 6AM. Guess my bod decided it needed the sleep. Have to brag on my DSon-in-Law#1... he borrow my car yesterday to haul a ladder over to his son's house to fix the A/C. They had to replace the pump on the A/C. Before he returned my car, he had it washed and cleaned/vacuumed the inside, too! It shined like a new penny as he had a wax applied during the wash! Brought tears to my eyes that he would notice and take care of that job for me.

Just noticed on Monday that the Endro doc had sent a Rx for 3 months supply to the base. So called and got it activated yesterday. So will be heading to the base either later on today or on Friday. The pharmacy is closed on Thurs. They have lifted the restrictions on what days retirees/spouses can use the commissary. No more only on Tues/Thurs... so will get that done, too.

Cheryl... YIKES!! Sorry about the change on when the movers are coming but sounds like you were just about ready for them anyway. I know you will be glad to have it over and done with.

Chris, I also seem to have a black thumb with indoor plants so gave up on trying to grow them. Can't believe you are having fall like temps already! I am more than ready to have the heat turned down here... still hitting 100 or close to it most days.

Nancy, glad you saw your skin doc and got those spots taken care of. I need to see my skin doc but am trying to space out the doctor visits. Maybe I can do it in Sept or Oct.

Trudy, hope you have comfortable day for your hike.

Well, time to get dressed and get busy on my 'to - do list".

good day - yes more hockey. But no walk this morning as we have had rain all morning. It comes and goes so just have not had that break to head out and now hockey has started so I will go maybe during an intermission. It is still cool and only to get to 80C. Got a nice note from Oscraps - they selected one of my pages for their weekly Instagram page. The was a nice surprise. All the folks in the background here at this site do such a great job on doing nice things like this. Got some nice text from my son this morning from the Ozarks. He and his wife were out kayaking and he was grilling so he is happy! They raved about his food so happy for them. Tonight I am going out with my girlfriend for dinner. It will be several people but we all know that we are free. It is at a Mexican restaurant so I am so looking forward to chips and salsa and a Margarita.

Chris yes I feel you about summer. While I don't need 90 degree weather I sure like 80s and long days. I don't have a green thumb inside or outside. I tried so many times I felt guilty killing them so just stopped. So sorry the washing machine is still not working. That is such a bummer. You don't realize how much you accumulate but luckily now that the boys are done I have so so much less. But there are still towels and bedding!

Trudy have fun on the hike. Glad the weather is holding. Yes I could hear you yelling for the Bruins. They can close it out today. Good luck to them. I am glad you kids have options for their kids schooling. As Chris said take lots of photos.

Kay wow you were busy. What a great sonIL. I would love that from my kids or DH. Glad the px is open for all every day.

Cheryl good luck with the moving. I am like Chris if it can get done than just do it. Sending hugs to your puppy too as it can be stressful for sure for them.

Have a great day all.

Hello lOvelies!
I miss you much! But I didn't found it appropriate to come and shares, as this is family friendly forum, and I'm not sure it will be appropriate and even interesting someone to talk about dates and these stuffs. So in shorten, I'm really really heartbroken! :drama: You know I was obsessed by the idea to find a boyfriend who can compare or even to be higher level than my sister's fiancé. Umm, don't ask me why, I'm the big sister so in every Austen's novel is my privilege to get married first. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about my sister's happiness! But I'm also very competitive person and hate to lose! So he exist, my prince is real, and almost perfectly fits to the way I was created him in my dreams. But failure first: he will wants me to move from here, which is totally impossible! No chance to left my cats. And failure two: he is so young, so shamelessly young! None of us was realize that we have such a big age difference. He act and think like much older than he is actually. And he don't find this as a problem, but I do! Thinking about the difference that happens in me after turning 30th, I clearly can see the fallacies about us that he have now, but certainly will lose with the experience. So yes I'm very sad and disappointed, but I had to end this in its start! I think I'm closed irrevocably the love chapter in my life! :tsk:
This was a time consuming journey, and the rest was mostly working. I'm grateful that the double work chances at August allowed me to redeem for lots of April's loses!
The other things are pretty similar to what you are commenting. The whole week rain start and stops. It's much colder now at the nights. And days are getting shorter, so yes Autumn is definitely close to be felt. But the forecast makes promises for very warm September and it's too early to take goodbyes with the Summer.

Chris, I'm sorry that your hands are now hurting! Is that's the reason to not hand washing your clothes? My mom washing by hand a lot, especially the delicate fabrics, so to keep them looking new and fresh for longer. When make it daily, it's not takes so long, definitely it's faster than to drive to someone else's washing machine. Poor Ray! I hope to not need dog diapers soon, personally I'm not a big fan of this! Makes lots of skin issues. Did you made your pajama day? Is that as sexy as it sounds?!

Trudy, I hope that you'll be able to take lots of photos from Stocking Creek falls! For now your summers sounds as the most interesting, and I'm so happy for you! Sorry to hear about the wildfires! We had to deal with that here too, and unfortunately the rain didn't came on time. I hope your sister's place not to be in danger!

Nancy, it's so exciting and relief that you are get back to your routine meetings with friends and you're less stressed from the virus situation!

Kay, congrats for the new haircut! So you decided to not left it longer? I like pixies style a lot!

Cheryl, all the best on the new place! It's a bitter-sweet moment, but I'm sure you'll gonna love the change! Hope that your dog will go through this easily!

Jean, you miss me a lot girl, I don't know why we always post in different days?! How's your research going? I was wondering about the Billion's lady, how is possible woman in these ages to not have child when she's been married?! And that her siblings also don't have, is that shows some family health condition? I want to think that she's been modernist who makes conscious choice to not become a mother, but the facts about the siblings makes me doubt. This will be very interesting article! Do you think she is have hope the second marriage to give her a child? Or to become at least stepmother? Oh, poor she!

I hope now I'll be able to get back to regular posting and scrap! Kiss and hugs to you all!

Hello lovely ladies. Just a quick pop in to say goodnight. I'm waiting for my tea to kick in.

Thanks for all the good wishes and to all of you - you're right - we're pretty much ready anyway. We never wait til the last minute. This time next week we should be in our car about half way there.

Chris, I do konk out as soon as my head hits the pillow. I just have to wait til I'm a walking zombie. LOL I HATE to just lay there awake! The tea doesn't make me go to the bathroom, either. I tried Melatonin once and it didn't work out for me. I had kind of a scary reaction to it, so have never tried it again.

The packers are coming tomorrow, although we have a lot of it packed already. I'm glad they'll be packing the big stuff though - like the lamps - we have some big heavy floor lamps and some big pictures.

Take care everybody - I'll probably be popping in really late tomorrow night again. Poor Daisy - had to stay downstairs again today - she looked up at me so pathetically. We keep telling her she's going with us. LOL
