GooooOd mOrning and a very happy Wednesday to everyone!
In ~60 hours, I will be parked on my parents' sofa with a glass of wine and a book.
yeah, baby!
Just need to get through those 60 hours.
:hang in:
Yesterday, I worked my work somewhat through my list of things to do. Food shopping was ok, the weather, not so much. This cold and dreary rainy mess of April is really getting to me. But-- it is much, much better than the freezing snowy mess of March. Progress. :p
Still no luck finding an orthopedist, but I was able to talk to MIL about seeing a regular ortho as opposed to a Spine Specialist since she has gone this route herself. She feels that I should go directly to a Spine Center, which is where my Dr rec'd. Why do Drs and insurance companies make it so darn hard?
Scott's dental is figured out. Since we purchased our dental plan through the exchange, he isn't able to stay on my exchange plan. But he can have the same plan as me, for the same amount of money purchased directly through the Dental Co.
For real. Makes no sense. :noidea:

Today I have to get my medical records ready for the two Drs appts I have Thursday and Friday, then I am cleaning for my neighbor. Spending time looking for a spine center and reviews so I can make an appt with some degree of confidence.
And of course, what is for dinner??

Today is National Pretzel Day, can we eat a bag of pretzels and call that dinner?

Hoping that you all have a less medically intensive day than me hahaha!
Love and hugs!

Rae- I feel your pain for having to wait at the lab for so long. That cup of coffee must have been so nice when you got home. That is always the worst part about fasting bloodwork, no coffee. I can live w/o food but coffee, not so much. :cof1: The rest of your day was like mine, deskwork, laundry, and groceries. Fun!! heh!
I am glad to be getting away too, although I am living in the period before I go away with my mom calling me several times a day to ask about what food should she bring, am I feeling ok, etc :blah:

Trudy- yeah, where is Nancy??? Hope everything is ok.
Glad to hear you are somewhat better and I hope that today you are as good as new. Sorry to hear about your funk, I am in the same boat. Sending lots of germ-free hugs and happy thoughts your way.
Yup, scoliosis on top of everything else. I was in a back brace for over three years 7th grade to 10th. Cait has it too since it can be genetic. Poor kids got all of my shitty genes on top of Lyme. No wonder they hate me. I am kidding, they might have gotten my shitty genes, but I know for sure that to love me very much.

Sharon- glad to hear that I didn't scare you away. :) And omg- the stress you have been going through too! What is in the air??? WTH would your MIL want to cancel FILs kidney Dr appt? You don't mess around with kidneys!
The renovations sound so nice and I hope that you have some pics to share. (which reminds me- I never shared any pics of the new DR color). I love painting but once you paint one room, the rest look so dingy.

Enjoy your day!

Morning ladies... Hey NANCY???? Are you out there??? I am not feeling much better today, now it has moved to my throat and it hurts every time I swallow, ugh!! Its a beautiful sunny morning and I should be getting ready for my hike, but not today  It would be such a great day to be out there, but not feeling good enough to even get out of my PJ's this morning!

Chris - I am so happy for you that you are getting away to your parents place!! Enjoy my friend!! Sorry that you are still struggling with finding a Ortho! Yes why do they have to make it so darn hard!! When Heather was ill they kept telling us that there were so many other benefits out there for her out there, but OMG they made it impossible to find them, it took hours and hours of searching through the govt websites, obviously they really did not want you to have those benefits ! I am so happy to not have to do that anymore! I feel your pain!! Glad that you got Scott's dental all figured out though, one less thing on your to do list! I hope that today is less stressful for you and that you get to enjoy the day! Happy pretzel day lol did you know that a low fat pretzel has more sugar in it then a handful of jelly beans?? I would rather have the jellybeans LOL.

Very quiet in here today and this morning I had some trouble getting into the site, not sure what was going on?? I will be doing some scrapping today and hoping to be feeling so much better tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed for me today. I think a nap might be in order later on also. Ugh I hate feeling this way!! Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday! Stay healthy!!

Good morning, ladies. Finished up work at dinner time and relaxed for the evening with my hubs, watching a few shows, stayed off the internet (mostly) and got to bed a bit early. I figured a break in my busy schedule would recharge my batteries and today I could go full steam ahead. That's the plan. I dropped off Taz at daycare so have the house to myself today. Got my lab results last night. I was shocked that my lab got the results online within 6 hrs whereas Darrell is still waiting to see his (over a week ago). He goes to a different lab than I do so I'm guessing they are not too speedy about inputting data. So, my cholesterol was high. When I checked online, I realized it had been 3 yrs since last checked, when it was normal-high. So, I'll be requesting retesting in another 3-6 months to see if my keto diet helps. From everything I am reading, it should. I watched a great video this morning (Trudy....put it on my keto facts pinterest board) that reaffirms everything I now believe about food. I am not going to take cholesterol pills and am going to work on diet and exercise. If I am still high after another 6-12 months then I will reconsider, possibly. For now, I'm not worried. I am having so many health and weight benefits from the keto diet that I'm not worried about the lab results at this point.

Chris - with all your health issues, you find the humor in everything...you are my hero. You have such a great outlook on life. Love you to bits, you know. I just hate that we live too far away to meet each other IRL. Soon you'll be lounging, sipping your wine and reading a good book.....sounds wonderful.

Trudy - ha ha...yep, you got that right....sugar is sugar. How are you doing on keto? I'm sure it's been a bit harder with the different schedule and now being sick. Hope all is well and you're soon feeling better. Have fun scrapping today.

Nancy - where the heck are you???? Are you off on your birding adventure right now?

I'm going to get off the computer now and take advantage of the quiet house with Taz away and get lots of work done. Have a great day, everyone.

Just so you'll stop worrying about Nancy - she said she's off birding in Florida, in particular on a ferry boat trip to the Dry Tortugas. Leaving me green-eyed in her absence! We were there in 1983 and it was wonderful.

This week is busy compared to our usual laid back schedule. I keep meaning to get more scrapping done, but beyond my weekly pages it's getting tough. If you ever wonder what I'm up to those pages kind of tell.

Chris, can never understand why medical has to be so convoluted and difficult - but it sure is. Congrats on getting away this weekend.

Trudy, so sorry you picked up the bug from the grands! Please get better soon!

Rae, sounds like taking a wait and see approach to the lab results is the sane way to go. So nice that you feel so much better now.
