Happy Earth Day 2020
Let's breathe and meditate on that photo this morning. Imagine feeling the earth beneath your feet and the warm sun on your face. Hear and smell the sounds of nature all around you- the songs of the birds, the fresh grass and flowers, the texture of the bark of the trees. We are all connected.
My big project of yesterday is accomplished! I took everything off of the baker's rack, cleaned the dog fur and cobwebs from behind it, and now it looks much nicer. Cait and I worked on a puzzle together and I started scrapping another page for Christopher. I still have way too many to go. I am going to have to order something from Amazon and have it shipped to him so the book can be late (he isn't going to care, it is more for his mom!)
Dinner was delish- caramelized Vidalia onions and garlic over pasta. Gary doesn't cook much but what he does cook is so good.
My parents are popping over today and I feel bad- like I should invite them inside since it is so cold and windy. But I know it isn't the right thing to do for their sake. (Right?? I am doing the right thing???)
I guess for ours too.
I try to be positive about this but damn-- it SUCKS!!!!!!
:sorry:
If all goes as planned, Cait and I are baking a batch of Christmas cookies today. She finished the majority of one of her term papers that had been stressing her out. She has two 2-page papers that are due but she could write that in her sleep. The last 2-page paper she wrote for this professor turned out to be 10 pages.
Scott is still having a rough time with classes too.
Nancy- is your DH finding his students are struggling as well? Does he have any ideas or advice?
Gratitudes:
-I live in a state that has a governor that is using science and medical experts to guide his decisions on when the state can reopen slowly
-the sun is shining even if it is really cold out there
-Christmas cookies!!!!!!!!!!!
hugs to all of you!!!
