Daily Ooo's: Wednesday, April 19

Good (chilly) morning my lovely O-zies. I am moving slowly today, it has been a rough few days, which is a bummer after feeling decent last week. Oh well, this too shall pass.

I was able to get my x-rays done yesterday morning before my mom came over. The "local" 35-minute away hospital has a satellite office near me so I was there and back in less than an hour. I have to call the Dr today for blood results and who knows, maybe they will have had a chance to read the x-rays too.
I wasn't planning on saying anything to my mom about this, although she knew that I wasn't feeling that well. Except my DD told her, albeit in a backhanded way to suggest that she should see a Dr for her health issues. That didn't make my mom too happy, but not much I can do for that. It wasn't like I was hiding it, I was waiting until I had more information.

The one good thing is that she gave me the money to cover the Shop From Home fee for the supermarket. I was trying to find a promotion to save that amount, but the darn website was under maintenance. Now if I can't get the promo, it won't make a difference. It worked out ok too, that I am not cleaning this week. Gary would have a total hissy fit if I tried to clean just to make a couple of $$. I can't say that I would blame him since you all know that I would have tried. :nod:

I am not really all that stubborn.

Sharon- thanks for the hugs! That is really good news about your knee. Puppy kisses to Lyta too.

Rae- were you able to get caught up on a lot of your work? Hope that you were able to stay focused but still take some breaks away from it all to recharge.
You watch Colony, right? I think you were the one who suggested that. Gary and I started watching it too. We only saw the one episode so far but seems interesting.
Was Darrell able to get his CAT scan results? Ya never know whether you want them to come back normal or not. heh!

Trudy- oh no! Losing posts again, yuck! You are one busy lady at your DILs but I bet she is thrilled to have you help. Good luck being head honcho. That must have been so stressful for Heather but always good to get it checked out.

good morning - some how yesterday was gone before I knew it. I did not get up until late as I have been staying up to watch the hockey games and of course they all went to OT so I was not asleep until 2am. And last night was late too but at least no OTs. None of the series seem to be going according to how the analysts thought they would go. But I am enjoying. Good thing I am retired and can sleep late and nap. Got a really long walk in with Luther and then it was off to the grocery store and pet store to replenish. Today I have to go back as I forgot a few things. Made another Blue Apron meal spaghetti and salad with a really yummy homemade dressing. The salad had radishes and if they did not come with them I probably would not have added them but they were great. I am such a bad veggie eater so this really helps. Tonight we are having chicken with couscous and brussel sprouts. I love brussel sprouts but my DH does not but he is willing to eat them or pick them out. LOL.

Chris sorry for the increase in pain. Those muscles spasms sound terrible. I know how much a charlie horse can hurt so these much be awful. Yes for sure use the on-line and rest. Taking a walk and taking photos sound lovely. Yesterday it seemed like all of a sudden the leaves were out on most trees. It is always like one day no leaves the next day they are out. My little dogwood tree is blooming and it is so lovely.

Rae good luck getting all that work done! Boy will that keep you busy!

Sharon good news about your knee doing well and your dog getting his treatments.

Trudy have fun with the grands. And using google maps is the best! I was watching the Bruins game and what a horrible call in OT to give the Sens a power play.

I was sick all of last week and just not in the mood to talk. Then Dropbox sync was causing me issues. I wish it had a way to decide how much bandwidth it can use like Google Music upload does. :O( I keep having to turn it off altogether.

Good morning, ladies. I got a fair amount of work done yesterday so that felt good. Got another big dump of work yesterday too so that'll keep me very busy today. I don't mind at all though b/c the extra this week will make up for the reduced hours next week. One of my bosses is away on vacation next week so it'll be a good time to work on tax stuff.

I hot water washed and dried a few jackets and I'm thrilled that they shrunk down a bit so I should be able to wear them next fall/winter. One is a soft puffy jacket that is so comfy and the other is a perfect warm dog-walking jacket so I'm very happy to be able to keep them both.

Chris - yes, it was me that suggested Colony. I love it. I can't wait for season 3 next yr. I think it's a good thing you are stubborn. It helps us to push through things, to not give up.

Cindy - I see you have joined the club of frustrated computer/software/program problems. Ugh. I have no problem with dropbox but am struggling with Amazon Drive and my LR and PS won't work together now.

Nancy - I don't know how you stay up so late LOL. I am in bed nowadays by about 11:00 or 11:30 but often am falling asleep in my chair around 10:30. Sounds like another wonderful meal. I love Brussels sprouts but my hubs won't touch them. I love them fried in butter, bacon and parmesan...yum.

Trudy - hope you are having fun with the kids and the dog today.

I finished up one challenge and now need to tackle my second challenge post. Somehow I always seem to leave things til the last minute LOL...but luckily I always get things done. So, off I go....have a great day everyone.

Morning ladies... Kids have been dropped off to school and now I need to take Storm to doggie daycare. I will be busy with a few chores around here and getting dinner ready for tonight. Isaac has swimming after school and so Sadie will keep me company at the pool until he is done. We also drop off two other kids to swimming too, but do not have to take them with us after swimming is done. Thank God for google maps as I would never have found my way on my own memory LOL!! I am sure it will be well remembered by the time I leave though.

Chris - ITA with Rae, a good thing you are stubborn so that you can work through this and continue on!! Hope you are feeling more human by the days end! I sure hope that your Mom is not mad at you, but I guess if she is she will get over it, after all you are her daughter and she will always love you!

Nancy - I did not watch the hockey game, I was kinda busy LOL!! But it sounds typical that the opposing team would get a power play!!! I bet DH was steaming mad!! Lets hope the next game goes to the Bruins!!

Rae - Hope your get through your work quickly today! I always leave everything until the last minute too LOL! I will have to check out the challenges for next month for sure!

Cindy - Ugh on the tech problems, I worked all afternoon yesterday to get Photoshop loaded onto DIL computer, now I hope I have time to actually do a page or two LOL!

Ok I am off to drop Storm off to doggy daycare. DIL arranged this before I came, she thought that it would give Storm a chance to blow off some steam and go hiking with the other dogs. I guess this woman takes 5 or 6 dogs on very long hikes everyday!! He will be tuckered out when he get back LOL. Have a great day everyone! :wave:

We had contractors at the house today and Lyta went for her 2nd and 3rd injiction today. Her brother Londo was a mess...he kept walkig back and forth! Poor boy
