Who wants to hear me complain about snow again? Should I :tape: until next January? we had snow on and off all day yesterday. I took the dogs out this morning and it had stuck to the cars and on leaves/grass etc. It is unbelievable! It better be 80* until Christmas or I am gonna cry.

I was so exhausted yesterday that I got emotional and wanted to cry. Do any of you ever get like that? No reason to cry but if I gave in I could just sob. I made it through food shopping and then did a few things around the house. Floyd threw up all over Caitlyn's bed which isn't good for him (might show that the kidneys are failing) and not good for her either so we had to strip her bed and wash everything.

Gary took her to the eye dr which was a huge help to me. She needs glasses/contacts. We are going to order an inexpensive pair online today and let her see how she does with glasses. If they don't feel right to her, she will go back for contact lenses. She doesn't want contacts at this point and I think some of that has to do with the eye makeup that she likes to wear.
While they were out, I was able to get another page scrapped for Christopher's book so I have 2 pages more to go. I would like to finish that before the weekend.

Today I am off to clean for my friend and then we have to give Floyd his fluids. I hope that he stays relaxed again like the second time, not the first.

Better get this posted and start my day!

Trudy- sending you blue skies for your hike today!!
Did you get to paint? When I get new supplies for Faery-Wings things I want to make stuff immediately. That burst of new and fun takes over. Bet that happens when you see new paint supplies.

So real quick- here is the story about the hearing/teacher. He somehow was able to get a deal where he didn't have to go to jail. (ARGH!!!!!!) Then he told the Dept of Education that he would be "willing" to not teach for a few years. State Dept of Ed was "No F-ing Way" and they brought the State Attorney General in to take his Teaching Certificate away permanently.
The girls were testifying about his actions to make the case that he should never be allowed to teach again since he has been having sex and sexting with 16-year-olds. (Not Cait, thank god or he would be 6 feet under)
Pig.
(no offense to pigs since I *heart* pigs)

That is too bad that you didn't get the usual woman for your reading but I hope that the one you had told you good things that will come true.
I had a "psychic" tell me once that I was going to have twins but I already had my tubes tied, so Um. No.

Jean- I feel your snow pain. This is &$#%$*
I love that Cait and Scott are close with their cousins. They might be very different people (Juliet is a star athlete, Julia is a sorority girl) but under it all, they have the *same* character. Does that make sense?

Felis- that is great news about the arch for your roses! I can't wait to see pictures of them in bloom!
W is so weird, she snagged an acorn and a rock and tucked them in her mouth when I wasn't looking this morning. I took the acorn away from her but then Gary saw her chewing on the rock. Weird dog!

Nancy and Rae and everyone else who stops by-- wishing you all much love today!
xoxo

good morning - whew I have been busy with hockey and my DH who is always at the last minute doing taxes. So for hockey it has been so good. My Devils really showed a lot of character to get a big win by coming back and winning 5-2. All season long when the my team plays and at the end of the game when they have pulled their goalie my team never seems to be able to score that empty net goal. Well this time they scored 2 LOL. At the end of the game was a line brawl. They through all the players except the goalies out of the game with 10 min misconduct penalties. My players were so angry. They players were so dirty. Victor Hedman one of the star defensemen used his stick to jab my rookie Nico in the balls. And one of their defensemen elbowed my player and then had the gall to act like my player was faking it. According to their coach my player skated into his elbow. LOL As Trudy says officiating is the pits. Last night I stayed up to see the Vegas Golden Knights defeat the LA Kings and it was awesome. They defeated them 4 straight and are the first team through to the second round. Their goalie allowed 3 goals in 4 games. And he so enjoys hockey games. I taped the ending so I could watch this am. Now tonight I my Devils Lightning game. I am so excited. We have a chance to tie it up but at least I won't have to see the hand shake line tonight if my team should lose. The weather here on Monday was just horrendous with torrential rain. As Chris mentioned lots of flooding the Iron Bound section of Newark which is on the South side of the train tracks and the courts are on the north side of the train tracks. In my town our south side flooded and the rain was like a river on the road down from us but not flood level. And of course the River rose out of its banks. But by the time of the game it had stopped and the flooding had cleared so the drive in and home was great. We took Luther to the Rahway River Park in Rahway yesterday and the River was raging. We had never seen it flowing so fast. There were 3 pairs of Canadian geese and an egret. I love the egret. Luther had a great time. We then went to a new Deli D'OH that was started by a young girl (a mom of two now LOL) who I have known since she was in middle school. It was so great to see and her husband finally running their own business. And the food was great. All home made and you could tell. So I did not have to cook and I will not be cooking tonight. It was funny my DH's train was cancelled on Monday night so he wanted a ride but forgot that our game started 30 min later so he just got on the next train. He told us he hoped it did not go to 5 OTs - we nearly hurt him.

Chris so glad that everything went well. You were probably parked in the same lot we use for games. We use the court and immigration parking lot. So glad that it went so well for Cait. It is a shame that because of court back log they have to make deals with slime like him. And to think that he thought he should be able to go back to teaching is just horrible. So glad that that is not happening. Glad you had fun at the party and with Inlaws. Hope you catch up on all today!

Trudy hope you are out hiking. I was getting rain while Chris was getting snow. But all the spring trees and flowers are blooming and the sun is starting to shine and it should be in the 60s by the weekend. So glad your birthday weekend was so fun!

Jean so sorry you got snow. At least not as bad as Detroit or Toronto and the cancellation of so many baseball games. I always wonder why they try to start the season in the northeast in April. The Yankees are not doing well and after getting the Stanton to come to NY Yankees he has done nothing but strike out. And yes loving my Devils winning!

Felis so nice to have your Dad find the iron trellis for your roses. That will look so pretty!

Waving to Rae

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone... Hooray I will be hiking this morning and meeting up with everyone at the Trailhead. The hike is to the top of the Mountain right across from our place. I look at this mountain everyday. There is a War Memorial at the top for the Vets of WW1 and WW2.

It is a PDF so I hope you are able to open this! I did manage to get some of my painting done yesterday, but it is a slow process as there are many many layers of paint because I am using a black background. I will post a photo when it is finally finished. The past couple of days I have been able to facetime with Heather and both boys. Mason's school has been without power for two days because of the ice storm that went through that area, they are on a different power grid than where Heather is thank goodness so no heat or electricity for the school. Hope that it is all fixed today.
Oh BTW the pool was practically empty yesterday and I managed to get in 30 laps :bliss:

Chris - OMG more winter for you too!! But I guess you are in the same weather pattern that my daughter is in. They had lots of snow yesterday and they are all pretty darn sick of it! Thanks for sending the blue skies to me for my hike! That was very sweet of you LOL. I hope that I can return the favour to you and send a bunch of warmer temps too! Thank goodness that teacher will never teach again!! I can't believe that he would even attempt to try! Not so great that he did not get any jail time, it seems you have to commit murder to go to jail now and even then you don't get what you should! Thank goodness Gary took Cait to the eye dr. I bet she looks cute in glasses and hopefully they work out for her! Good luck with cleaning today and getting your pages done for your Godson!

Nancy - I thought that perhaps you have been way too busy with hockey to be here :becky: So happy for you that your Devils came back and won their game. Hoping that the Bruins do a better job with their next one! Glad to hear that the spring flowers and the buds on the trees are finally coming out of hiding! Lucky you to not have to cook for two nights in a row! That new little Deli sounds yummy and how nice that you know the girl that runs it! Hope that the rivers do not overflow their banks, but I suppose with all that snow there will be lots of melting runoff. Hope you and Luther enjoy a great day together today!

Felis - So sweet that your father found a beautiful trelis for your roses! Yes please send us some pics when they are blooming. I have to get out and see how my rose bushes are doing. I have one that is prone to getting bugs and then some kind of disease later on in the year. I might have to invest in some sort of spray for them again this year. I hate to use chemicals so hope there is something more environmentally friendly out there.

Jean - Sorry that you are also dealing with yet more snow and wintery weather! Yes we are hoping for another win from the Bruins and many predict that they might go to the end, but there are a lot of great teams to defeat first. Hope you have a nice day today!

Rae - Sending you lots of love and hugs

Ok I better get my backpack ready and get going. Sure hope that I don't feel too out of shape for this hike today. It seems like its been forever since the last time I was able to go. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I've been busy with B and hospital stuff, getting my early morning weight lifting session in every 2nd day and spending at least 1/2 hr reading my book and sipping morning coffee before starting work. Before I start drinking my morning coffee I am now having a green tea with fresh tumeric, ginger, honey and lemon in it. With all the health properties in it, it is a great way to start my day off. I am trying to keep healthy and nourished as the stress and busy schedule with B puts me at a higher risk of getting sick.

Yesterday was a bad day for B. Her fight or flight response kicked in around mid day and she was able to escape from the ward even though she has a security guard watching her. She made it to the main floor and was heading out the door with security chasing her but luckily B's youth care worker from a few years ago was in the hospital visiting someone, he saw her running with security behind her and was able to grab her and subdue her so they could get her back. Whew. That was close. She had no memory of what she was doing or why, of course. So when we got there later in the afternoon she was in her room but moody. She was argumentative and muttered to herself a lot, getting meaner with her words. So we cut our visit short and came home by 8.

Today we will stay home so I can work, get some chores done and relax tonight, watching Survivor and Big Brother. Fun mindless TV.

Chris - more snow??? Crazy weather. Glad that guy got his teaching license taken away but too bad he didn't also get jail time.

Nancy - spring flowers are just starting to bloom here a bit, I finally saw some daffodils on the weekend. No crocuses yet which is weird, I usually see lots of them by now.

Trudy - looks like a beautiful day for a hike. I had a dream last night that you and I were sitting in the front seat of a car together, chatting away as we drove along. No idea where we were going but we were having fun :)

Felis - A trelis for roses....will be so lovely! I have one rose bush in the front yard and a carpet rose bush in the raised flower bed in the yard. They are so pretty to look at and I love to take macro shots of the roses too. I've got 3 framed photos of my roses in my foyer that I love to look at as I come in and out of the house.

Jean and everyone else - hope all is well.

I need to get to work now but it was good to pop in and say hi. I hope to even get a chance to pop into the forum and gallery later to comment as I've been so removed from the site for awhile and want to try to stay connected. It is starting to feel normal to not scrap or be involved in digi, which I don't like feeling. Does that make sense?

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I don't know exactly what to share. :ban: but weather here is just lovely, after the rains all is green and bloom and the air is just like opiate! I can lay with the dog into the garden for ages and that's probably why I'm backward with the work. I also wake up too late, so it's better to hurry.

OMG, Chris, I can't believe how unsuccessful is been the hearing! I mean I'm watch at Alli McBill, Suits and Shark, how people go straight to jail. If he don't receive criminal records he will become to introduce yourself like victim, which is been tricked by the treacherous Lolita, which is win his heart, until her envy friend is not learned their secret and issued them. I can imagine him, snivel in the dean's cabin, he can't be teacher anymore, but I wouldn't be surprised if found another occupation that allow to be near to young girls. Poor Cait, good that all was confidential and he couldn't come for revenge! But I would be seriously worry about the other girl his lover.
I can understand why you need to snuggle under warm blanket and cry! The snow is is your least problem.
How is Floyd after his fluids? I hope he don't lose weight and vitality! The threw up is just a symptom that he is not better, but not necessary worse, so don't hurry!

Nancy, this for the new family restaurant sounds awesome. Always is nice to see excited people which follows their dreams! I can imagine Luther on this walk near to the raging river, muddy but happy!

Trudy, this place is so pretty! I would like to visit this war memorial too. Often read books during the war time, just to see the life of the regular women during this madness! I can't believe that humanity don't want to learn from its mistakes. Bet that around this memorial have one special feeling of sadness and regrets! But also the trail to there looks so pretty and peaceful, so it's strange contrast.
Oh, thank goodness that Heather and her family aren't affected by this ice storm! Can imagine how boys describe it during your facetime. :) About the roses I'm not fan of using chemicals too, but also I'm not much skillful gardener, so in some moments just surrender and let the bugs to dinner with them ;) , they needs it more than me. But the disease are really tricky I lost one really pretty red kind, previous year, the flowers was black as like they are been burned?! So please share if you find some good solution!

Rae, I'm always happy to hear that you try to follow some routine and to care for your physical condition! I hope you also can find some mental rest too! How is Jean, how deal with all this? And did the Taz health is better?! Hope he got his shot without new problems! Poor B, she is exactly like wild animal, which can't realize why is in cage. I hope that she will can recovery also so fast like the wild bird. Soon she will fly again and all bad will be behind her back!

Jean

Have a lovely day you all! :cof1:
