Ughhhhhhhhhh, what a morning! I am so tired, what with the 3 am panic attack over groceries.
Since I am feeling all kinked up, how about some shoulder rolls this morning. Let's start with a deep breath and gently raise your shoulders towards your ears. As you release the breath, roll the shoulders back and down. Inhale- lift them back up, release and then back down. One more breath in and out.....

I am better ATM, but wow, practically my entire day was spent trying to get a spot from Shop Rite. Gary too. We kept refreshing the app for when they would open the new day. I checked a little before 8 pm, Gary checked a little after 8 pm. he checked again at 8.30 and they were all gone. I woke up at 3 am, checked, no new spots, checked at 4.30 am. 5.30 am. It is a nightmare for insomniacs. :twitch:
The really REALLY good news is that Leah called last night to let us know that Walmart was opening up a lot of Pick-Up spots. I hopped online as soon as I rolled out of bed and there was a spot for next Monday. WHEW!!!! I have no idea what the process will be like but hopefully, it will work out somewhat OK.
The Walmart that is (sort of) near me-- 30 minutes so that is "close by"-- doesn't have a huge food dept so I wasn't able to get any produce, but there was milk, bread, cheese, dog food cans and treats, plus body wash for Caitlyn, batteries, and *fingers crossed* some paper goods.
I know that I have people who will help-- my friend across the street has been phenomenal. But I don't want to put anyone else at risk by making a separate trip out or spending more time in a store than they would be otherwise.

The sun is out today and that is a good thing. It is still windy and cool but my plan is to get outside at some point today. I have to reset myself.
I also have to deal with the stupid IRS website. They have a tool that you can enter your Social Security # and it will let you know when to expect your relief check. We should have direct deposit since Gary has it for his Disability Checks and we have it on file for income taxes. Today it is saying that neither of us has bank information with the IRS. If you are in the US-- you might want to double-check your status at irs.gov
Mailed checks are going to be delayed b/c the idiot has to have his name on the checks so they have to reconfigure the printing process. :puke:
Who can wait for that??

Oh boy oh boy, I am a huge ball of sunshine today, aren't I? :pound:

Gratitudes:
- that you all put up with me!!!!!!
- the sun is out
- my mom was able to go fo a walk yesterday, first one in a while. She noticed that her strength is already diminished and is determined to keep going out more often
- my dad went with her too!
- Leah letting me know about Walmart
-the sun...
-all of you!

HUGS!!!

Felis- three cheers for a lovely morning! Did you get all of the Easter Eggs?
I am feeling exactly the same, very little is motivating me. Maybe once the garden starts growing, you will want to help your mom with it? I hope so.
I am sad that your country is experiencing the same issues with the farmers.

Trudy- was it strange celebrating your birthday in quarantine? I hope that it was a happy day in spite of it all. How sweet of your sisters! And then the neighborhood kids too. Oh, how that all warms my heart!
There really are good moments to treasure in all of this.
Do you think your local govt will open things up over the summer for the tourists? I have to say, ATM it doesn't look good for the Jersey Shore. That is going to be really bad for NJ's economy but what can you do?

Kay- Your temps are bouncing all over the place- hope it stays warm for you. I only have two books left to read and then I am going to be stressing over the library being closed in addition to the grocery lines! LOL

Rae- Happy that you seem to be doing well- and that you and Taz are able to enjoy the sunshine together :)

Trudy- that photo is so sweeeeet!!!!

jean- glad the visualization took you someplace nice! Glad that you and DH had a nice anniversary dinner together.

Nancy-OMG- I am sorry that you ended up without power. I have to say I was surprised that we didn't lose it over the last couple of days.
So your son has a rotating schedule to work at home and then at the office? Smart to do it that way.
Is Luther still limping today? R is much better although I am trying to keep her off the stairs.
All I can say about the beaches being closed is that Phil Murphy will do well to stay off of the governor's private beach unlike someone else a few years ago...:D

love to all of you!

good morning - the sun is shining. I love sun shine. My DH was out with Luther already and went to the adjoining town as they have a park that is open. Since it is a town park I guess it does not fall under the governor's rules. I will take Luther when it warms a little this afternoon. He does not seem to be limping this am so that is good. I have been watching the news conferences from the mayor and the governors and I must say they are pretty impressive. But they are also very strange in that no one has money yet they are spending money. Not sure how this works as it sure does not work for regular folks. The stimulus checks were to have gone out but are delayed because Trump wants his name on the checks. That is pretty poor reason to delay checks when people are in dire need.

Chris sorry the day was so bad yesterday. Glad you got the spot at Walmart and how nice of Leah to let you know. I keep hoping that farmers find a way to sell their produce and not destroy it. Glad your R is doing better too!

I am so grateful for the sun!

Morning everyone! It is a lovely sunny day and I am heading out for a nice long walk today! Yesterday was very surreal! It was a beautiful sunny day, which is unusual for my Birthday, it usually is pouring rain on my birthday, so that was a nice treat to have the sunshine and warmth. The temps really warmed up by the afternoon and DH and I sat out on the upstairs front deck and got a bit sunburned (I really have to remember to put more sunscreen on these days!) DH BBQ'd us some yummy rib eye steaks, he really is a whiz with the BBQ they were perfectly done, so delicious!! We had asparagus and Bearnaise sauce and DH had a baked potato with sour cream and bacon bits. We were both in heaven!! LOL. Today I am going to spend more time here and then get out for my much needed walk. Hopefully I will try a bit of painting in the afternoon not much else left to do around the house, they yard is looking good and the flowers are blooming, no more weeds to pull. Perhaps it is time to start cleaning out the closets??

Chris - I am sad that you are stressing so much about getting groceries!! So glad that Leah found the opening at Walmart! I bought so many groceries last week that I am good until the end of next week, except for Romaine lettuce and sour cream. It really was strange to celebrate my birthday in Quarantine, but really we would not have done too much different, except of course I could have hugged my sisters and perhaps gotten a much needed pedicure LOL. It was so great to feel all the love from everyone here and on my facebook!! It sure helped! They are advertising a new commercial to visit B.C. but just not right now, hopefully people get the message and stay away! It will hurt the economy but I think that we will have a hard time recovering from this anyway and we don't need a second wave hitting us again! Yes many good and bad memories will happen over the course of this pandemic, seeing the kids outside makes DH and I happy, but then sad that we can't see our little ones. It is a roller coaster of emotions as I am sure you know!

Nancy - I am so happy that the sun is shining for you today! It really does make you feel so much better doesn't it!! What an idiot DT is!! Really he needs to have his name on the cheques?? How insecure can you get!! But then I guess all of this is all about him isn't it?? LOL. Happy that Luther is not limping anymore! It is sad that you cannot go to the parks for your walks, but if people would just behave it would not have to be done. It is the same here, all public parks and playgrounds are closed. I hope that you and Luther have a lovely walk this afternoon!

Jean - I forgot to wish you a Happy Anniversary!! I am :sorry: You two are an inspiration to us all! Hope that you are getting some nice weather too, it really helps make for a better mood for us all!

Ok I need to get into the shower and get dressed. I am determined to not have any pyjama days during all of this! Have a great day everyone and stay safe at home!!

Gratitudes -
Chris makes us breathe and relax every morning!
So many wonderful birthday wishes!
The sun is shining and temps are warmer!

I woke to beautiful sunshine, but it clouded up and it's pretty chilly. But it's an OK day anyway. Got a lovely response from DH's sister from the family history news I sent out. That feels good.

Chris, amazing how the breathing/stretching always finds things that need it! Thanks so much. It's sad you have such a time scheduling grocery time. Glad you got some good from the Walmart one. Just keep doing what you can to control the stress levels a little. Dogs and rats and dirt therapy?

Nancy, how strange to have to go to the next town to an open park. Wishing Luther's limp will stay away. Our newspaper today has an article on meal plan delivery services including BA. Guess that's gotten a lot more popular now.

Trudy, thanks for the anniversary wish, no worries on missing it. I love the photo of the kids chalk message for your birthday. Sorry we're having all these days in isolation, but at least we're well. Can you leave the closets to themselves and paint some more? I haven't done any art work recently and it seems a shame.

Hi to everyone!

Grateful for you all
that we're well

Good morning girls!
It's been two gloomy and cold days, so I'm back to reading. After the first few very detailed and disgusting chapters about hunting, it's actually become very interesting adventure book. I know that steampunk have whole own culture, but I wasn't much familiar with it, so I found this book, one of just a few translated to my language, and now I'm fixing this.
Also one of my favorite bands released new tune, so I'm enjoying this too. Nancy will told you that when you fangirling someone this give you source of unlimited ridiculous reasons to smile. Even one his post can make your day, even the gloomy days  . So, mostly that was, cold dreamy days, but all is cool!

Jean, I'm happy but not surprised that your family likes your history newsletter! And your painting run so well at the IG gallery, bravo!

Trudy, at first I decided that these are your children on the photo, it's a bittersweet that they aren't. But so nice that your neighbourhood loves you! And they should! Your birthday descriptions sounds so romantic, it have some charm to be just a two of you!

Nancy, this with the parks is a pit! Thankful that our dog park don't fit at this category, as technically it's just a fields near to us, because my dog really insist to her routine. The big one is still very angry by people with covered faces crossing around our fence. Strange times with sure! Oh, and about what you said for the money, my sister was watching at youtube how the rich celebrities complain from the isolation in mansion with fitness, tennis court and pool. They have even locked with them chef and housekeepers! :grrr: It's making me wish to slam one of these skittish princesses and take their pool for Trudy! Only on loan of course, I wouldn't stole pool!

Chris, yes I found all the eggs, now have to find time for download and unzip, will be party time :) ! I really hate to see you how struggle around food planning, it's a nasty new routine for you! And I'm pretty sure that your friend across the street fels at the same way as me and she is more that happy to help! I hope you was able to get outside and to shaking off yourself from the whole present madness!

Gratitudes:
 the new music comes to cheers us!
 all special people that have impact on our mood!
 about the existence of a cats itself , and especially for these in my house!
