Well, I am in a better mood today than I was yesterday. Hoo boy, ya wouldn't have wanted to be around me... nope, nope. I grumbled and mumbled under my breath. And out loud. I even texted my annoyance. hehe. Cait was texting me during one of her class breaks and when I told her I was cranky, she offered (so generously!) to come home and make me cookies. I had to tell her that she was much better off being at school because between Gary and me, we were both irritable.
I told Gary I needed the day to feel aggravated but then I would be better. And I am. yay me!

My BFF called me and we talked for a long time. She seemed in good spirits- a few moments were rough but I am proud of her. She doesn't have any eye pain which astounds me. But her neck hurts from having to keep it bent down. She is a lot like me-- really hard to sit still so I know that has to be a struggle. If I can drive next week I want to go down and visit.
I did nothing much yesterday even though the fam said I did too much. I don't know. I helped put away some groceries and washed dishes. That doesn't seem like a lot of *anything* if you ask me.

Today, I asked Gary to drive me to the library. I have some book to return and I need some more to stock up on. He can work on some of the puzzles while I do that.

That is about it.

Kay- are you feeling any less scratchy today? I was reading a news article saying how the allergy seasons are getting longer and stronger. The only thing that is good for is the Pharma companies. I hope that you were feeling well enough to go to lunch.
Scott told me the same thing about my flowers and even offered to clean the leaves off for me.

Trudy- how did your Gary do with the surgery? Hope that the bright sun wasn't too irritating. I remember when my FIL had his done, he couldn't get his eye to stop tearing and the light made it worse.
That painting is awesome! It reminds me of marble. Is there a texture to it too? I want to reach into my screen and touch it. I will have to show your work to Leah next time she is here.

Nancy- uh-oh! I don't want to start thinking about how sexist hockey can be too, but it wouldn't surprise me. How did therapy go, was the pool any warmer? Hope the Devils got a good draft #.
This measles emergency is so maddening.:rant: The one in Rockland County is near me and is in the community where Leah's mom worked. I am glad that she is out of there. She is vaccinated of course but still. When the Gardasil vax came out, my kids were just getting into the age range for it. I hesitated since they were in full-blown Lyme treatment and I already dealt with one voluntary vax for ear infections being pulled after Cait had two of three doses. I figured and still do, that if they want that one as adults it is their choice. But things like MMR? Why in the world wouldn't you if you could? I understand immuno-suppressed but not religious exemptions and def. not "just because" or conspiracy theory type stuff. (yikes-- off soapbox now!)

Jean- it is such a relief to get the e-file notification through. Yes! That was the place that Scott went to. He said that it was neat, lots of different ecological things to see and brought some pinecones home from a species (genus?? I wish I could remember what he said- same species, different genus maybe?) that we don't have in NJ.
Once he gets talking about trees and plants, he could go on and on. He told us that the NJ Pine Barrens grow in sandy soil because that entire area used to be under water. I never knew that. I love learning new things from the kids.

Felis- I hope that your area gets enough rainfall for the farmers. But yes, the sun always makes house cleaning seem more "sparkly." We would love to come and visit you too, get some Tiny and Biggie snuggles as well. If I won a million dollars I would get all of us together.

Karen- hope that you didn't have to pay too much this year. I was somewhat surprised seeing so many deductions we used to take being eliminated this year.

Trudy- your Gary would make a good partner. My kids joked around saying that the surgeon should just cut off my ankle and I should get a peg leg. When I have the cast cover in the shower, it kind of feels like that. Pirates, unite!:yarpirate

Yes, I still have a scratchy throat. UGH! I was smart and stayed home in my PJs all day yesterday. Drank hot drinks that helped soothe the throat most of the day. Suppose to go to lunch tomorrow with the Seniors but think I will pass on that one, too. No point in exposing anyone to whatever it is. Change in weather here from 82 yesterday to mid-50's today with lots of wind and possibility of sleet/snow in the mountains tomorrow. Sounds like a good day to stay inside.

Chris, sorry you had a bad mood day yesterday. Know what you mean when you just need to grump and mumble about things. Hope that today will be a better mood day for you. Glad your Gary was willing to uncover your flowers if you think they need it.

Trudy, that is a WOW painting!!! Love how it turned out. Hope the companion piece to it turns out as lovely... as I am sure it will.

My coffee cup is empty and the throat is needing more warm stuff... so off to get a refill and then hop into the shower now that the house has warmed up enough. Have a great day.

Good morning and I do mean great morning - my Devils won the draft lottery and the number one pick. So as bad as my team was this year this is the rainbow at the end. The number two pick went to the Rangers our cross town rivals. So the number 1 and number 2 picks will be rivals from the start! Should be interesting to see who the Devils draft! Had good day at rehab. But my DH made me angry. So this past year he got an bit of an inheritance from his Aunt. I told him he did not have to pay taxes on it but he said he did and said the same thing to the accountant. I asked if he talked to his sister and he waffled meaning he did not want to call. So I emailed and she confirmed that it was inheritance not income. He would have cost us money, shame on him! But at least I got it solved. Today is a great day as I get my hair cut and colored. And as I am late I will come back and do personals.

Yesterday I watched ''Nerve'' whit Emma Roberts, very intrigued. Our life become more and more online, and we are so inadvertent. So much about us is public shared. I don't use my full name on Instagram, because don't want some of my exes to spy me, as I do with them when I'm in destructive mood. But still I often post my scrapbooks, so if someone is found your Instagram, can go directly to here, where will found opened diary. I have seriously to rethink my online behavior. Have so much things in the field of probabilities.
Anyway! Nothing special happens here today.


Chris, definitely will be awesome if Trudy's wish for tropical vacation for all the ladies in the DailyO’s become reality someday! Till then you are always welcome at my house, my pets will love you with sure! I totally understand your needs from day in bad mood, don't see anything wrong to allow yourself one or two of them, time to time. Hope you'll find interesting books! I saw your threads about the show based on book, but I'm not familiar with it. My plan for this month is book with main character girl with Autism, because Design by Tina told us that April is autism awareness month. I'm happy to hear the good news about your friend's recovery!

Kay, get better soon! With this temperature changes are you sure it is allergie not some cold? We are in similar weather from t-shirt at afternoon in previous week, this afternoon I was back to my winter jacket. PJs day sounds comfortable, but I hope you'll be able to go on this Seniors lunch tomorrow, and don't left your mood to go back to blue.

Hey there
Hopefully today will be a good one for you all.
Joey gets his stitches out today. Then finally I can wash and groom him. He is such a ragged mess at the moment. He has also gained weight due to the lack of excersise. The rainy weather doesn’t help in that department either.

Today and tomorrow are set aside for vent cleaning. The complex just says they are coming on those days but we don’t know what day or what time. Such a nuisance as I can’t go anywhere... not even a dog walk for any length of time. If they knock on my door when I am out they pass by and I don’t get the work done. Ooph!

Morning everyone! I was up early and had to take DH to his Eye Dr. appt at 8am this morning. Everything is looking good and so he will continue to put drops in his eye for another week and then back to the Dr. He is now soaking in the Jacuzzi tub as he was not allowed to have a shower before his appt. A few quiet moments to myself while he is enjoying his tub. I did get started on a page yesterday and will try to finish it off this morning. Yesterday I also did a re-do of one of my paintings that did not dry well and I wasn't happy with the composition of it either. Now it looks so much better and will be a good companion piece! I will get it varnished and posted to my Etsy shop in the next few days. Thanks to those of you who have shared my post on Facebook!! I really appreciate it! It is a bit rainy this morning, but we still might go to the local Nursery and have a look around, we need to replace a few plants that did not far too well over the winter. Needless to say there is no hiking for me today. It is quite far away and between the rain and the price of fuel now it just did not make any sense to go.

Chris - Glad to hear that you are in a better mood today! Sounds like you were one grumpy gus yesterday :becky: That's ok you are allowed!! It must be frustrating to still not have your stitches out! LOL yes you and my DH would make a good pair!! Arrghhh

Seems like Scott had a wonderful time at the convention! So great to learn things from our kiddo's! Mine teach me new things all the time! I just love that! Thanks again for the nice compliments on my paintings, you are so sweet! Now if I could just sell some of them LOL. Have fun browsing around the library, hope you find some great books! Don't you just love the library? I always feel cozy there and love the smell of all the books! (am I crazy?) I am glad to hear that your BFF is doing well after her surgery, I hope that you get a visit in with her very soon!

Nancy - Woo Hoo!!! Your Devils won the hockey lottery!! How great! I wonder who they will choose! Sorry that your rivals got the second choice though! Looking forward to the first game with and Bruins and the Leafs! Yesterday DS txt and said he might have tickets to one of the games between these two teams and was wondering if his Dad would fly out to join him! I really wish he would, but I have doubts that he will spend the money on a flight to go to the game :sad: His son would love it so much if he would! Glad to hear that your DH will not have to pay taxes on his inheritance! That is the law here too, but good thing you checked and found out for sure! Enjoy your time at the hairdresser today, it is always a treat!!
