:( My coffee got cold. Now, how often does that happen? Not very.... I am going to top this off. BRB!

:tea:

ahhh!!! better!!!

I had a really, really happy day yesterday. It was absolutely GORGEOUS outside. And I got to spend it in my MIL's yard, cutting back old foliage, uncovering new. Listening to some really good music on the old ipod and was lovin glife. Gary is in a manic phase and he has been doing some small projects (he wanted to rip out our old falling apart kitchen island but I would not let him!! hahahah!!!!!!) and he got a small raised bed garden kit and out that together yesterday. We are going to try growing some spinach this year in it. We usually do tomatoes in a planter that he built a few years ago and some herbs and lettuce. It was on sale for $30-- I figure it will pay for itself the way that produce keeps getting more expensive.

Then I don't even know what we were talking about at dinner but I was laughing my butt off. We all stayed together for a half hour after we were done eating just telling stories and jokes and making fun of mom (I have been having trouble with word finding again and sometimes the oddest combination of words pop out that make *no* sense!). After dinner, the kids asked if they could do outside to "play." My neighbors have built a trail through the woods so the kids like to go hike on it. If it stays nice enough today, I should go out with my camera...

The only downside to my day was my lyme dr calling me to tell me that I am now testing positive for babesia- a malaria-like infection that is transmitted by ticks. Yesterday I waskind of blowing it off- it was more "funny" that I finally tested pos since the rest of my family has it too-- it was just a matter of time for me. It didn't really hit me until 4 am this morning.

I am so tired of being sick. So tired of medicine. You should see my kitchen, It is overrun by medicine bottles. And mostly, I am tired of every time I think that one of us might, just *might* be close to being done-- we get pulled back in. OMG-- Lyme is the Mafia of the bacterial world!!!!! :pound:
I totally see a scrap page in my head!!!!!!!

(are there any mafia-style kits out there in the digi-world?)

Anyway, that was my day.

Silver lining to it all...... my body is producing anti-bodies-- finally- which means my immune system is starting to work again.....

I wish and want all of you to have a fabulous day!!!!

Back for personals:

Linda S- hope the weather is still nice for you and that life is slowing down (even just a bit)

Laurie- good morning, how was your workout today?

Phyllis- thank you for saying I am the sweetest mommy- you can see that I really do try hard :)
And I def. agree with your "Hurt Quote" more than mine-- I think that is how I say it in my head but try not to say out loud. At least not in front of caitlyn who we are working on getting to clean up her language.
Do all kids go through that phase of cursing non-stop? I know I did (still do on occasion) but to hear that ^%$ coming out of her mouth-- ugh!!!

And I saw that you scrapped a page!!!!!!!! *happy dancing for you*

Angela!!! Happy dancing for you too!!!!!!!! Great news on the tests!!!!! Scott has that in school too -- in-class support we call it-- it is a big help- the kids need to feel successful, not lost and those steps will be good for him

Nancy- oooh how fun to get the autograph! Is this something for the season ticket holders again?
Hasn't the weather been amazing the past few days?? I am going to be sad to see it go tomorrow.

better get going-- time for Bus Stop #1......

Be back later!!

lOve the O!
morning back at you Chris- my workout was a good sweaty boxing interval and I nailed it. I too enjoyed the outdoors after work yesterday- reading under the pine tree as the sun went down, and spreading a bag of mulch. I even managed to get two mosquito bites- ewww spring is here!! Today- yup long day at work- I am so predictable you guys know what you are going to read before I type it. Have wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Chris, i did NOT scrap a page. i did that several months ago.... i just posted it on FB to document the fact that USED to make pages!! sorry you have added another layer to your Lyme. i know that chronic, unrelenting "stuff" is just SO hard to handle, physically and emotionally. re: the swearing. my kids were always too scared of what i might say to swear in front of me when they were young. i'm sure they were doing it out of earshot, though. i think most kids do.

Nana, ((( hugs.))) just hugs.

Laurie, i wish i was predictable like YOU! that would mean i was exercising!!

my big event today is going to Target to look for a bottle brush. do they even MAKE them anymore? then ironing and some closet cleaning. and i'm going to take some time out to pray for all the ladies i know here who are fighting battles every day, both personal and physical.

Good morning!

Chris--hugs to you. Prayers coming your way. Sounds like your day was fun. It's nice to be able to be outdoors in the fresh air.

Phyllis--haven't seen a bottle brush in years. Let me know if they still make them! Oh--add my mom to your prayer list. Thanks buddy.

I'm working this morning. Have to head to the hospital right after lunch today. Taking my mom's car so physical therapy can work with her getting in and out of it.

I spent the entire day with my mom yesterday. Care team meeting went well. she looks good. The physical therapist said she is walking worse than she did when she first started. She's walking farther but not smooth, more tentative. What's the deal with that? Wonder if she is afraid--something going on in her head.

Anyway--need to get my rear in gear. Have lots to do.

Good morning! I am such a happy girl this morning. I went to my autograph signing for Patrick Elias. OMgosh he is so nice. I brought the book I created from last years pages and he was really liked my photos. How cool was that. And I now have his signature my jersey. LOL the little things that can make an old lady happy! Tonight the Devils are home to the Boston Bruins. A tough game for sure. But I will be happy at the game. Also I have been helping one of my son's friends with a college project. She wanted to put together an all about me page but has never used photoshop. I showed Chaz the basics but they could not do it. Chaz told her I was a whiz! How cool it that to have your son think you are a whiz at something. So she showed me where she wanted the photos and I just did the rest. Now she too thinks I am a whiz.

Chris so glad you had a happy day! It is always fun when at dinner everyone giggles and stays after you are done eating. And yes the weather is yummy! It was even hot when I walk and I loved it. Had the windows open and the kitty was happy too to be at an open window. I hate curse words but they are everywhere these days from TV to music. My son thinks they are not even curse words anymore that they are just words. But Chris at your kids age mine did not use them in front of me.

Phylis have fun at Target. I am sure some one makes bottle brushes.

Laurie good to read you are boxing. Hope your day is not too long!

Terryb glad your mother is up and walking. Glad you liked the care team.

Angela have fun at the birthday party!

Morning ladies... :rain: here today so I will be getting my umbrella out as I head to town for my job interview. Still so undecided as to weather I really want this or not?? Is that bad?? Anyway later today the In-laws arrive and we will celebrate FIL's 79th birthday. MIL is bringing the cake, she is the best cake maker ever!! Looking forward to desert!! We are then going to the Buddy Holly Story at the Live Theatre in Chemainus here is a link if you want to learn about this cute little community that saved itself from dying http://www.chemainus.com

Chris - So glad that you had a great time in the outdoors yesterday! Sorry to hear that you got a bit of bad news from your Lyme Dr. but keep the faith my friend and keep fighting the good fight :boxing: at least your immune system is getting back on track!!

Kristy - Have a nice visit with your friend at breakfast!

Angela - Hope the birthday party is fun!!

Terry - Sorry that your Mom is not walking any better, sometimes its a fear thing about falling, but sometimes its just because the brain is older and things are not getting processed the right way anymore. At any rate I hope her therapy goes well and that she starts to walk with a smoother gait!

Phylis - Have fun on quest to find a bottle brush!! :becky: You should try to do a page with the challenge that I am helping with this month perhaps you could be inspired to tell us a great story??

Laurie - WTG on the boxing workout :boxing: You rock!! You know spring has officially arrived when the mosquitoes are out in full force!! :mmph:

Nancy - Sounds like you had a great time at the autograph signing yesterday! Nice to hear that he is such a great guy, some of them are not! Our teams meet tonight... watch out for the Beasts from the East!! LOL I better not get to cocky, they alway lose when I do that!! :becky: should be a great game whoever wins!!

Having lunch with three of my friends from my former work place after my interview today, looking forward to hearing their stories! They all are happy that they are gone and they can move on with their lives. We have heard some very nasty things about the new owner and his son, it only confirms my reasoning for leaving!! Have a happy day everyone and be creative!!

Angela, have fun at the party!
Nancy, i would LOVE to hear ANYONE in my fam say that i'm a whiz at something!
Kristy, just the SOUND of the 30 Day Shred scares me!

Trudy, i would love to be a fly on the wall at your lunch! there would be some great stories and such a lot of cathartic b^%#]ing going on! i'm dying to hear about your job interview. and, no. it doesn't sound weird that you're feeling ambivalent about actually GETTING the job. and thanks for the link. i'll have a look! not guaranteeing that i'll apply myself and actually MAKE a page, though....

Well O-zies I had a great time with my friend at the Bank!! She took me to Starbucks and bought me coffee and told me a bit about this job that I am apply for. Guaranteed 25hrs a week, mostly to cover lunches and breaks but it will also be a mobile job too so I could do some travelling to Mill Bay and Lake Cowichan, both places not too far away. Mileage paid to so that is good and get this... It won't start until July!!!! So now I don't have to worry about how long I need to spend with my DD to help her with the new baby Hooray!! Its a great day!! Don't actually have the job yet, still have to send in a resume to the online site, but she said that I should have no problem. We will see!! So for now and until July I am a stay at home Empty Nester!! I love it!! :becky:
