Daily Ooo's: Wednesday, April 1

I usually like to play some April Fool's jokes, but this year, I am unfortunately getting the joke on me! It snowed yesterday and it stuck! Roads are fine, but the grass is covered again. This is absolute BS!!!

Instead I have a pic to share from 10 years ago. Some of you have heard the story before, but probably never saw the picture. Gary used to do tattoo work. He had a practice skin and Cait loved being the one he practiced on. I shot a bunch of photos because I thought it was really funny. I sent them to family and friends on April Fool's Day, saying that Cait had finally gotten the faery tattoo she wanted. I didn't write "April Fool's" at the end b/c well, I thought it was pretty obvious.
Unfortunately, out of the 15 or so people I sent it too, only my brother realized that it was a joke. (I am still astounded that my family would actually think I would let my DD get tattooed!!). I had friends worrying about what would happen when the school saw it, would DYFS get involved. My dad couldn't even speak to my mom about it, my IL's wondered if we had lost our minds.

After they started slowly coming forward to me, throughout the day, I was shocked at the response and had to send a follow-up email saying April Fool's!!!!

So in honor of me not having a prank today I hearby give you one from many years ago.

That's a great April Fools joke Chris. You really need to make a page from that memory!

So grateful that we don't have snow on the ground here. They say we have a high chance of storms with possible tornado activity tonight because of our weather...supposed to get into the 80's. I'll take it! Everyone will be home tonight so I'm not going to worry about the weather. If we need to spend time in the basement, we can do that!

I wish I could just spend the entire day here at the O! I'd scrap and leave love in the gallery and chat. Wonder how I ever found that time before?

the same weather here. One minute sun, the other minute snow. Crazy ! And it´s very very stormy.

Chris: best April fool ever !
I can´t make April fools, I can´t "lie". You see it on my face. but DH is good in this, but haven´t done an April fool to me for many many years.

My family are all out eace: I still can do what I want. I think I will watch Lost. DH is totaly annoyed to see "lost" every day the whole day.:biggrin:
Not my fault that it is so excited.:biggrin:

Hey Linda S! How are you doing? it is so nice to see you back scrapping. It has to feel good, right? Stay safe if the weather gets bad.

Back for a few while I wait for Gary to get ready to go food shopping with me. It is our big date. First time out together that has not been to a doctor's office in eons.

Laurie-- so awesome seeing you here in the mornings as well! Hope the webinar went well for you. Are you still doing that project with the other designer (can't remember her name?)

Nancy- were you able to get your walk in yesterday? It looked so pretty, if cold, in the morning, but then it started snowing around 1pm, and was coming down like mad by dinner time. I didn't give myself enough time to warm up the car and had to scrape the windshield a lot.
When is the regular hockey season over? Do you have another team to cheer for? Or do you just root for anyone playing Rangers/Islanders?

Sharon!! :rofl: Nope the sheep don't help me too me too much. Your Geezer Date is much more romantic than mine will be today. Phyllis always jokes about Men and Shopping Carts-- that is going to be me and MMG today!

Uuugggghhhhhhh, Trudy!!! That is awful Hope that you had sweet dreams last night.
Last night we did breakfast for dinner. Scott made scrambled eggs, and Cait made these Cauliflower "Tater" Tots. They were pretty good, in spite of the ribbing she got from Scott.

I better get my butt in gear- I want ot check in on her before we leave. She threw up again at school yesterday and then again after dinner (Lyme flares upsets her stomach too, although not as bad as Gary thank goodness!), so she is home from school. Again.

good morning - I think I am too busy now that I am retired and my son and husband go off to work. Because I am home they think I should be doing for them. LOL while I think this is my time. Anyway yesterday I grocery shopped (but met a friend and had a nice talk), got home and walked to get my son's prescription. Then went to Chipolte with my girlfriend. Came home and cooked pot roast. Turned out really well. Then of course I had to clean the kitchen. But at least I made enough for left overs today. As I said too busy. But I did get two more pages done. I have only 2 more of the birthday challenges to do. They have been fun! My hockey team lost in OT. But at least they got it to OT by scoring in the last 2 min short handed.

Chris we only got rain late in the day and only late in the evening was there any mixing with snow. So sorry Cait is sick again.

Sharon you date sounded wonderful. I like it when the theater is empty.

Astrid I watched Lost faithfully until the end.

Trudy up 20x is way too much. Hope you slept better last night. Saw that Boston came through and defeat Florida!

Morning ladies... up early with MG and got us both oatmeal for breakfast. He loves to have Oatmeal and seeing as how it is so good for you I have not objections to make it. Clear sky so far this morning, but they are predicting Thunder storms for us today. We never have thunderstorms here, just like where Sharon lives, they are very rare!! I will feel like I am living in Saskatchewan again! Thunderstorms were a common thing and man they had some doozies !!

Chris - LOL on your old April fools joke!! Really how could anyone think that you would let your little girl get a tattoo at that age?? Sorry that Cait is not doing well again today! Ugh those dam lyme bugs!! There is a fellow that my DH works with whose wife has Lymes disease and she is now in a wheel chair! They are having a fund raiser for the family to help with some medical expenses, so DH and I will be there for sure!! The weather man on one of our local stations was trying to pull a April fools joke this morning and had all the temps posted in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius and was telling us that they have done away with the Celcius conversion Yaaaa Right!!! :becky:

LindaS - So happy that you have come back to join us here!! Keep safe from the storms today! It always freaked me out when we had to hit the basement in Saskatchewan! I love the Thunderstorms, but those tornados??? Ya not so much!!

Astrid - Enjoy your alone time and your Lost Series!! That is one show that I never got into, but I am excited to see Game of Thrones come back on and Outlander and Downtown Abby!! I will be in heaven!! :becky:

Nancy - don't you find that now you are retired, you never get everything done that you used to when you were working?? Its weird how there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day, yet you know darn well that you are not as busy as when you were working???? I find I can't get everything accomplished like I used to do! It is very strange LOL!! Wow good for you for almost finishing the birthday challenges!! Hope that there is a prize in it for you!!

Ok I am going to try to catch a few more mins of sleep :sleep: and then its off to swimming again today, perhaps tomorrow also as the pool will be closed on Friday. Have a great day everyone and don't let anyone FOOL you!! :wave:
