Daily Ooo's: Tuesday, September 8

Ha!! I was almost going to say happy Monday but then I realized it is Tuesday.

Did everyone have a nice day yesterday?
I got myself all prepped for food shopping today, which included cursing at my computer that always has issues with Java and trying to print online coupons.
Did some more cleaning, played with the dogs. I was about to get into the shower when Cait came home from a friend's house that it notoriously dirty (not dusty like mine but grimy) and needed to get clean immediately. Brendan had to get in the shower after her for work, so since I was #3 on the list, I called my friend to go for a walk.And I did the whole thing- almost 2 miles! I was pretty wiped out at the end of it, but i did it! I hope that I can keep that up.

Nothing much going on here, food shopping, some bill paying, laundry, the fun never ends!:bored:

hehe! I can hear Jaida woofing in her sleep. So cute!

Cait is looking fwd to school today. Last night she said something along her typical line of don't make me go to school tomorrow (do you all remember how much she said that to me last year? and the years before??:faint2, but then laughed and said that she didn't mean it, it is just "her thing." We were cooking dinner together just spaghetti and she stuck an uncooked noodle in my hair. Then I stuck it back into her bun, and she had that sticking out of the top of her head, on purpose, all throughout dinner. Every time I looked at her I couldn't stop laughing! We clean up dinner, she gives me a hug and I had to go to the bathroom- washing my hands, I look into the mirror and that darn noodle was back in *my* hair.
I love that she makes me laugh so much and I seem to make her laugh too.

I miss Scott, I barely saw him this weekend, between work and being at Leah's for her b-day. I think he will be home for dinner tonight. But WTH am I going to cook?

Oh man, the mornings go by so fast, I have to post this quickly and then get myself presentable :rofl: to drive Cait to the bus stop.

Chris, have you visited Phylis' FB lately? She's got some links to Pioneer Woman recipes that made me think of you...coffee concentrate for making iced coffees and frappaccinos. You need to get over there. I don't usually drink cold coffee things in winter, so will probably save the recipes until next summer, but they sound awesome, and the Pioneer Woman is a hoot to read.

Sorry you are going thru a severing of the cord with Scott. :'\ There are a lot of tough transitions to make re. our children. And they keep coming. It's never over. But the compensations, like the dried spaghetti in the hair game, almost make up for them!

The cast iron dutch oven hunt is over! A friend of mine is giving me one! 5-quart Lodge. After ROMEOs (retired old men eating out) this morning, Captain Romance is going to stop by the store and get me some yeast and unbleached flour. Tomorrow we will have homemade bread!

Utah family had an awesome day yesterday for Gavin's birthday. They spent the day on Antelope Island (in the Great Salt Lake)...even took Luna with them. It was wonderful to see Gavin's smiling face. His THING is Minecraft, so he was inundated with Minecraft clothing, games, books, etc.

Laundering sheets and towels today. That's it for me. Love love love undemanding days.

Have to get leave for the lunch meeting that was supposed to be last week, so just a quick, "Hi."

Morning ladies... Had a great day yesterday, got up super early and headed out on our day trip to do the loop. It was a beauty of a day and we were so lucky to have sunshine and blue skies. Usually Port Renfrew can be socked in with fog and rain, but the gods were smiling on us and gave us a fabulous day! We did not arrive back home until after 6pm and we were tired and getting stiff from the all the hiking and then sitting for so long on the ride home. So a nice hot bath was in order, then supper and we crashed!!! :becky:

Chris - Woot on going for such a nice long walk!! Hope you figure out something to make for supper, I hate trying to decide what to have, it would be so great to have something new and delicious to put on the menu! So tired of the same old boring dinners all the time! But trying to decide what to cook for a vegetarian or vegan would be a big challenge! Sounds like you and Cait make each other pretty happy! How wonderfully lucky you are to have such a fun relationship!

Shar - Love your very cool page about your GS's birthday party!! Sounds like it was a wonderful birthday for him! Yay for the gift of a new dutch oven, your bread sounds like it will be so yummy!! Wish I could tolerate yeast better, then I could make this recipe too!! I am afraid I would have heartburn from hell!! I too have some :washing: to get done, but not too much else to do here. No swimming yet, but just a few more days til the pool opens again.

Jean - DD is having the same heat as you and is looking forward to the cooler weather that will come tomorrow! Hope your meeting goes well!

Well time to get out of my PJ's and get some laundry done and then vacuum the house. Sometime this week I need to go hunt for a 50th birthday gift for my SIL. Party for her this weekend at the Lake, should be a fun time with just family attending. Hopefully the last event we need to go to for a bit, I am all familied out !!
