I am looking out of my window and at 6.15 am, it is still so dark outside. Not all that thrilled. But the sun should be up in a while. I can't complain about that :)

Yesterday was relatively quiet. I was able to get outside for 2 hours putting the plants into the garden out back and the bit of color looks nice.

Today's food shopping and trying to navigate cars. Cait has school, Scott has work, I have food shopping and both the VUE and Scott's CRV are out of commission. Yippee.

I am off to catch up with Cait and the rats and coffee.

good late morning - well school starts today at my DH's university so he was busy all weekend making sure classes are all covered and TA are in place for the lab classes. I had a great weekend I got my printer and then yesterday I got my recliner which will be delivered on Thursday. I am so happy. Now Luther will not be in the kitchen just to be near me and I will have a chair that is mine. My son of course says he can't wait to use it LOL. Of course. Got Luther out for a walk last night and again this am so that is good and now he is sleeping. It is really one humid day. But this might be the last for a while. My son signed up for a fantasy football league but he really is not interested in doing it so I did it for him. We looked at our scores and this time I got a A+ LOL I only got a B+ on my own draft. He is now so happy. We will see how this goes. Watching Kelly and Ryan and OMgosh Sam Heughan star of Outlander and while not my fav at all the show also had on Henrik Lundqvist goalie for the Rangers. It was a great show to start the new season. Stayed up late to watch Madison Keys win her match - she had a great come back. Four USA women are in the quarter finals of the Open.

Chris I wonder how long this weather will last. I am seeing mostly clouds. Good luck with shopping. Glad you had a quiet day! Being outside for 2 hrs had to be wonderful.

Rae sorry the weather is so hot. I am seeing that in the west there are so many wildfires due to the heat. I hope this is not too near you or Trudy. Again you amazing at your shopping karma. I have to say being outside at the trailer sounds wonderful!

Jean my Yankees won again but I am seeing that Cleveland is doing awesome. I can't believe that there are only 20 some games left before play offs.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies, another crazy busy long weekend for us! Our son and his family ended up coming here and spending the whole weekend with us! :bliss: They were supposed to spend the weekend on their boat and head to desolate sound, where it is just beautiful. However with the temps being so very high they decided they would just be too hot on the boat. So they joined us at the Lake and we spent Saturday swimming and helping FIL fix his wharf. The kids had a blast and then we came home and ordered pizza for supper. I had the toppings no crust LOL. Sunday we hit the river and had a nice visit with my brother and SIL. Then off to my sisters for supper, everyone was very tired after lots of swimming and too much sun! The kids crashed and we were not far behind them :becky: Monday morning was nice and relaxed with a good breakfast and more visiting, then they were on the road to get the kids all ready for their first day back to school today. The rest of Monday was spent in the backyard doing some cleanup and weeding. Then I got most of the house back to normal and lots of :washing: Today I will vacuum and clean floors. The bathrooms got cleaned yesterday too, so not much left to do today. Hope to get a page or two done for the challenges here and some much needed catching up in the gallery!

Chris - Ugh on the cars not working again!!! Sure hope that its nothing seriously wrong with either of them how frustrating for you!! :gaah: its always something isn't it!! Good thing that we did yard work yesterday as today it is smokey and hot!! Yes the smoke from the fires are back with us  We sure could use some rain!! Hope you get your shopping done and that you don't have to juggle the cars too much. How nice that you got some colour to look at out in your backyard!! I hope you get to enjoy some sunshine again today!

Nancy - I am recording that episode of Kelly and Ryan after I read what you posted LOL. Hope you are liking your new printer! How fun to have your own recliner also, hopefully your son doesn't steal it away from you! You are a rock star at picking the dream teams, your son should do well! Hopefully you both do well with the fantasy football!! Hope you and Luther have a great day together!!

I have to go back and read the posts from the weekend and then catch up with the rest of you later on. Have a great morning ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. Got lots of work so am going to stay off the computer for most of the morning. Had a quiet afternoon yesterday, after unpacking and having lunch once we returned home from the trailer, my SIL and BIL popped by and spent the afternoon chatting. I think partly they just wanted to come enjoy the A/C since it was so hot out. I don't blame them LOL. This morning I got laundry started, then [uttered around, organizing clothes and packing up some more to bring to the consignment store. I keep thinking I am done but then I find more things. My clothes have never been so organized LOL. Today Taz will probably sleep most of the time, exhausted from his wkend away. He didn't even have dinner last night, he was too tired.

Chris - that sucks about the vehicles, hope everyone's schedules coordinate and you can all get to where you need to go.

Trudy - I had pizza last night and it was the first time since going keto. I scraped the toppings off 4 pieces, added more pepperoni to my bowl and then topped with extra mozza and melted it. D was happy b/c it was a meatza pizza which I normally wouldn't have gotten (in the past I would have ordered 1-2 meats with a few veggies but this time it was 4 or 5 meats with no veggies). I enjoyed it and didn't miss the crust at all.

Nancy - enjoy your new printer and chair!

I'm getting to work now, D is home this wk (vacation) so have to be sure to get lots of work done in the morning b/c I know in the afternoon we'll be chatting and he'll distract me from working so hard. Ugh...always time management with me LOL. I wonder if I'll ever have a quiet relaxed schedule...I don't think so, it just doesn't seem to be in the cards for me :)

Have a great day, everyone!

Sorry I never made here until now. At least I finished my weekly LO and am working on Maya's cute artchie template. Got up, washed hair, read paper, got ready then off to gen. group board meeting, then home and catching up - still not done - with group stuff.

Chris, NO, why can't those cars behave? Hope the scheduling worked out without undue stress.

Nancy, the US Open has been most interesting. Yes, the Indians are doing so well, and that with many players on the DL. We're hoping!! How fun your latest fantasy draft was rated even better. And the DS can just keep OUT of your chair for pete's sake!

Trudy, how nice the kids were with you over the weekend. Sure wish the rain would come there. Pizza without crust actually does sound good.

Rae, you are a working machine! And yet you do so many other things too. Way to go.
