My, oh my-- s'gonna be a *day* here in the US. Not in my house, but the country is gonna be a bit bonkers. Corruption is coming fast and think and hopefully, sunlight will be the disinfection that is needed. (Finally)

Yesterday was a good day. I cleaned/dusted a bit more in the kitchen and LR. I took down the last of the morning glory vines and trimmed back some more of the dead flowers and plants. Scott told us a lot of funny stories from the music festival. He was cracking us up with some descriptions of some of the other people.

I think I am about as ready as I can be for food shopping today. The party menu is pretty set too. The latest pumpkin I am working on is a "bit" lopsided. I missed a stitch in one row and then must have missed another further along. I am hoping that it will lend the pumpkin an authentic, natural feel too it since all pumpkins IRL are a bit lopsided. LOL

Food shopping, cleaning, crocheting. That is what my day is going to be. Hope you have a more exciting one than that!

Nancy- My kids were tired all day yesterday too. Hope that he is back to normal today. We had to have broken temperature records yesterday. (Appropriate for the UN Climate Conference, right?) It was really hot outside which felt strange with all of the leaves falling on me. I can't wait to see the pics of the puppies at the pool!

Trudy- I saw the photo of you and your painting on FB- that was really huge-- neat to see it in perspective next to you. *fingers crossed you get some more commissions*
I think about all of the mess that paper crafts make and am very happy that digital is a no-clean up hobby LOL Enjoy the Cricket when you get it all figured out.

Kay- happy to hear that you are feeling a bit better. Caitlyn and I both are feeling better too, has to be allergies.
keep up the scrapping-- you are seriously a machine!

Jean- same here with the temps- cooler here for a couple of days and back into the 80s. I hate that the hot weather makes me happy b/c I know it is because of all bad reasons. That dinner sounds really cool, always nice to have everything prepped and ready! Enjoy birding today. I am sure that you saw the reports of how the bird populations have dropped drastically. I wonder how long it is going to take for the people in charge to take action?
My mom has another check-up with the cardiologist today, she doesn't need me to go with her, so I am thinking that she is feeling better. She is still apprehensive about driving and going on the stairs. I am hoping that the more she does things on her own, the more confidence she will gain.

Good Morning everyone! It is a bit nicer day out there today, rain all day yesterday and the lake levels have gone up by quite a bit! They have turned off the pumps that were pumping water out of the lake to keep the river at a safe level, so that is really good to hear! Looks like the weather should be nice for the hike tomorrow, but we will see. The forecasts seems to change hourly around here LOL. A very tragic thing happened two doors down the street from us last night. A 25 yr old took his own life and was found by the Parents and sister. He slit his throat in the bathtub, what a horrible thing for anyone to find. Not sure of the details as to why on earth he would have done such a thing, it is hard to imagine things being so terrible at 25 to want to take your own life!! We did not know them that well but they seemed like a very lovely family! I am sure that they want their privacy so I will wait to send something over to the house. When I was off to bed last night I noticed that there were police cars and lots going on over there, but figured perhaps something was stolen or they got broken into. Not anything so tragic as this!! DH phoned this morning to tell me, it is so very sad!! I am off to the hairdresser this morning at 9am so I will have to get a move on and get ready to go! I will catch up with all of you later on this morning. :wave:

good morning - yesterday was pretty low key. Got a couple of scrap pages done, some knitting and watched sports LOL. I also went to the grocery store. Made a great dinner just a chicken curry but to the rice added diced nectarine. No leftovers! Both Luther and my son just lazed around all day. Yesterday Luther would not go on a walk too hot in the morning but today he was ready to go. They were out almost 2 hrs. And now he rests. We got a little rain last night but today is blue sky and a few clouds.

Chris so glad you are getting ready for the party and grocery shopping. Hope it is only good news from your mom after her appointment. So glad you had time outdoors!

Trudy I don't think I could ever go back to paper scrapping. I just don't like the mess but I really don't like the fact you cant undo if you make a mistake. But have fun learning cricket and making cards.

Kay glad you are feeling better. I really think it is allergies. I know that ragweed is out here in NJ and I have watering eyes.

Jean hi. Yes I see that CC is getting lots of praise now that he is in his last year playing. Enjoy the birding. I am so sad that we are losing so many birds.

I miss you all girls,
I was worked on my 52 pages and have few stories for the forum, BUT I scratched at very stupid way my eyeball, and will have to stay away from every screens as much as it's possible, for a few days. Even I feel much better at this moment, it was painful and embarrassing.
Jean, thank you for thinking of me! Yes I was at grocery, we have long weekend because of another national holiday, and I was on theater, yay! Lots of impression, which I'll try to share soon!
