I have to make this quick since I have another crazy day ahead. We got a call from the Rescue org that Whisky is ready for her spaying so we have to bring her down to a vet this morning and will pick her up tonight. Then food shopping and making the gifts that I need to do for my IL's. I didn't have a very successful day yesterday but I think that I was able to find a few things that might work. I am making a pumpkin centerpiece for their kitchen with autumn scented candles to go with it.

All day yesterday was a blur- between the dogs (who are much improved in getting along), shopping for the stuff that I needed, and then Caitlyn had asked me to navigate for her on a dry run to a Dr's office. She is going to be taking the girl she babysits to a counseling appt every Wed and it is in an area that she is not familiar with at all. A bunch of highways and merging and all that good stuff. Different than our little country bumpkin roads. :p

In between all of that, jaida threw up on our bed right after I got a regular load of laundry started. So I had to strip the bed and wash all of the sheets/blanket/quilts. I did more running up and down stairs than I had in a long time.:twitch:

I have to get in the shower before Scott needs to as we have to leave her at 8 am. The vet is about a half hour away, not our vet around the corner. If it wouldn't upset my vegetarian DD I would add a GIF of a chicken with its head cut off right here ~> *insert chicken*

And I wonder why am I always so tired????

Morning ladies... Well we did finally get our rain the other day, it is very cool outside now and I even had to put a sweater on this morning, the heat pump has been running this morning also! brrr! But I won't complain, we really needed this break from the drought that we have had! Hopefully they are getting the moisture in the interior where most of the fires are! The only things on my agenda today are to get my blood work done and going to the pool to do my laps. Other than that I have a free day!

Chris - Yikes girl you are very busy today!! Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday too! Glad to hear that your dogs are getting along better and I hope that Jaida does not throw up anywhere else in your house!! Hope she is not sick with something! Heather had to do the same with her bedding the other day as Mason had a flu bug and threw up all over his bed Ugh!! Everyone is feeling ok now though! Nice that Cait has asked you to do a dry run to the new area! It is scary when you are not sure where you are going for sure! Listening to DT's speech this morning and surprised to hear him stick to his script!! I bet its killing him to not say what he really wants to LOL! Good luck at the Vet this morning, hope that your new fur baby gets through her surgery easily!

Nancy - We are probably cross posting and hopefully you are enjoying a lovely morning with Luther! Hope that the weather from the Hurricanes does not do any damage in your area! Wow Maria sounds like another Monster!! I got my page done yesterday about my porch, it is now decorated for fall and no more hanging baskets  but I love the Mums and need to go find a few more to finish off the look I wanted for the porch.

Felis - My sister owns a B&B and also has weddings on property, so it is a big job to keep the gardens looking nice for them. Our boil water advisory is over, thank goodness ! I don't think it was anything that was really bad, just a precaution as some e-coli was found in the testing. I hope that you will be able to do the traveling that you want to do soon!

Rae - Hope you are not too busy with work this morning, wasn't it nice to get the rain! I saw that some areas also got some hail Yikes!! We wanted to invite the In-Laws for Thanksgiving but MIL called yesterday and said she wanted us to go her place as she was having a bunch of people from her church for Thanksgiving. We declined as I highly doubt that my son and his family will want to spend the day with her church friends who are all in their 80's LOL. It was nice of her to ask, but my grandchildren would be bored out of their minds!

:hello: Jean, hope you are busy with you genealogy! Hope that the weather is nice for you today also!

Ok I best get dressed and go get my blood work done. Have a great day everyone!

good morning - well the first preseason game was so fun! Our new seats are awesome as there is no one in front of us. Yea! In the first period we saw that the refs are calling slashing penalties and face off infringements. I guess these are the areas that the refs are focusing on. By the end of the game the players figured it out but it was pretty funny in the first period with all the face off infringements. So at the end of the first it was 0-1 Washington on a short handed goal. But my team responded and scored 3 in the 2nd period and our first draft choice Nico stole the puck and scored unassisted. It was fun to win the first game even if the Caps and Devils did not have their real rosters like Alex Ovechkin did not play. Today is a day off then they play the Canadiens and we play home against the Rangers on Sat. Sitting with my son we had some really good mother son time but it was so sad. I don't know if you remember but this summer a plane with Marines went down in Mississippi killing all. Well one of Zach's basic training mates was on that plane. He said this started them texting each other about a reunion. Turns out there were 16 that went through basic training together and then were in the same Weapon's company and now there are only 6 still alive. Two have committed suicide. I know that they say these kids are killing them selves but now this is so real. He was drinking so we were both having to hold back our tears. I knew these kids and to know that so many are now gone just way sadder than I can imagine. I am just so glad that he feels he can talk to me. But I am most glad that he has now found a way to make himself happy but starting his new Steady Smoke BBQ catering business. He is so happy and he is doing more this weekend. They are meeting people who want them to succeed and love their food. Got Luther out for walks so that is good. My knees survived the walk to the Rock from our parking lot but they way to into the Rock is with the phone and I left it in my coat pocket which was left in the car. Poor Zach had to go back and get if for me. One of the reps was walking around in the second period and gave us upgrades to the lower level but we like our seats and they were scoring so we did our good doobie deed and gave them to a mother and son. They were thrilled.

Chris hope the days goes better today. Hope the new puppy is okay after spaying. Now the cone. Glad you are there to do the drive with her. I know I like to do a pre drive too. The roads are crazy in NJ

Trudy hope you got a better night's sleep. I saw the page of your front porch and it looks awesome. So sorry about neighbors! But love the front porch!

Rae I bet Taz is Zonked after a weekend with Beckham. I watched the first episode of Sinner and I am hooked. Hope the back is stretched out!

Felis sorry you did not find the deals you were looking for!

Have a great day all!

Last week I missed the show I'm watching (local production) and I have to watch the episodes on the site of the channel, before to start again tonight. They shouldn't start the new season, before the winter. The air hour is too early for the autumn, when you still can be outside at 8 pm. I'm missed also few video tutorials into the O blog. And finally have to start scrap. But I really don't know from where to start. It's hard to add everything along with the routine tasks. I feel terribly backward.

Chris, you are so busy, not surprising that feel tired! Dear Jaida, is she eat something strange?! I know you, you just couldn't to gone angry to this angel!

Rae, I thought about the option with the sweater, I have one really warm. But you gave me great idea, with scarf or snud I guess I'll can use the jacket till the snow. Hope your back is feel better today! I have to reorganized my clothes for a autumn too, but looks like still is too early, it's too hot.

Nancy, we not watch the Emmy's too, I'm always wondering why here Oscars are so big event, but they even not broadcast Emmy and BAFTA (which I really want to watch) awards?! I need to watch Big Little Lies because I'm fan of Reese Witherspoon.

Wow, Trudy, making plans for Thanksgiving already sounds really ambitious :) isn't too early?!

Jean, I saw your 52 page, will back and read it later.

Have to go now, lovely day to all!

Good morning, ladies. I'm having a sluggish morning. Woke up in the middle of the night with stuffy nose and sore throat. I always seem to get a virus in September/October when the weather changes. I've got my diffuser on beside my desk which is helping my nose a bit and am putting peppermint on my forehead for the headache. I took a little extra time to just relax, sip my coffee and read my book before starting my desk work.

Chris - hope you don't have trouble finding the doctor's office for the dry run with Cait. Hope Jaida is ok now. Share a pic or layout about the pumpkin centerpiece when it's done.

Trudy - yes, we needed the rain and it does feel kind of funny to have to wear a jacket now LOL. I got caught in the hail downpour yesterday, I was out running a few errands and we were stuck in the care for 10 minutes waiting for it to slow down. Taz did not like the sounds of the hail hitting the car as we sat inside. I had to turn up the radio to try to drown out the noise (he is super-sensitive to some noises). I saw the patio pics and it looks like such a lovely little spot to relax in and enjoy your view. I'm jealous!

Nancy - glad you enjoyed the game but I can only imagine how sad it was to talk about the deaths of all those guys. It is good that you two can talk about it together and share the sorrow.

Felis - I too struggle with my schedule, trying to fit everything in. My housework often suffers. It's so easy for me to get sidetracked and then I don't get everything done (that happens a lot). Thx for asking about my back, it's fine today. Did a few stretched yesterday and that did the trick.

I'd better get to work now. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

DH is cutting grass now as it will rain later. Much warmer right now than it was. Yesterday was busy and today mostly too.

Chris, wow, very busy lady. Hope J OK! And the pup, hope she has an easy time of it and recovery. Lots for you to deal with. Smart Cait to do a dry run. And the pumpkin center piece sounds great. Good luck today!

Trudy, I love the look of your porch! Sad the neighbors require getting away from, but that is sure nice. When you and Rae talk about Thanksgiving I have to keep reminding myself you mean in October. Wishing you the loveliest of free days. Haven't been many of those in a long time.

Nancy, glad the knee is better, but guess it's got a ways to go. Your son's unit losses is so distressing! Only good side is that he can discuss it with you. Good you had a winning hockey game to go with it.

Felis, hope you get used to the new season of TV shows. You have lots to keep you busy, so it is easier in the winter. Hope your scrapping comes together.

Rae, know you've started your busy day, hope it's a good one.
