Hello, O-fam! Another night of sleeping like a rock- at least until 4 or so this morning. However, even after that point, I was able to get back into a lighter sleep. No wonder, I worked my butt off again. Not outside, sadly, but I am trying to get my house semi-presentable for the family coming here on Sunday for Caitlyn's birthday. I stripped everything off my bed, sheets, blankets, and comforter. Washed all of the wineglasses that hang over the island. I think the last time I did that was before Christmas and they were grimy. (All except one that gets washed much more frequently. Guess that one is mine
) I ended up using a Magic Eraser on them because the sponge/dish soap was not getting all of the sticky dust off.
I *thought* I had a menu prepared too- but after talking to my mom, she can't eat either of the main courses. I was going to make a tofu/broccoli/potato sheet pan and garlicy broccoli rabe pasta. I knew that she wouldn't touch the tofu, and she can't eat cooked broccoli or potatoes (too much potassium for her kidney disease). Go figure, she can't eat broccoli rabe either. Makes sense since that is in the same family as regular broccoli but now I don't know what else to make. Pfft.
I poked around at the grant requirements and came up with some brainstorming ideas that may or may not be appropriate. I passed that info along to the team. I also got a newsletter email from the ANJEE conference- and you are not going to believe this-- but we *are* presenting! Hahah! I texted Nicole to ask her what in the world I need to do to prepare. The workshop is different than what I had in my mind (eco-anxiety), but it's about moss and lichens, which is her area of expertise. She did her Master's Research on mosses, so at least she knows what she is doing. I don't know where my brain is lately, but I had it all backwards.
There are 4 workshop sessions and I have so many that I want to attend of the other three sessions. There are at least two in each slot that I would love be at. I need a Time Turner!
Other than picking up groceries, I don't have anything specific that must get done. I probably (eeew) should clean another room before the weekend, but I'd rather not. *pouts*
Have fun whatever you do today!
