Good morning, my dears! I hope that you are all much warmer than I am ATM. I can't seem to warm up, it is 45* right now. It seems to go from nice and hit to frigid in the blink of an eye.
I bet you are all wondering (winks) how I did yesterday. Did I get my act together? Surprisingly well, as a matter of fact.
I spent the majority of my morning cleaning out the cabinets. I tossed a ton of opened and stale boxes of cereal and chips. Tea that I had from 10 years ago. I called the FP and the woman that helped me was so darn sweet! I couldn't decide if I wanted a box of Cheez-Its or Graham Crackers so she have me both
Caitlyn is very happy about the Cheez-Its. That is one of the "only if they are on sale and have a coupon" purchases I will make. I also got eggs and lettuce and pears. But the best-- hand sanitizer and Lysion wipes!!! I swear it is the littlest things that make me happy. OTOH, hand sanitizer and wipes are *not* little things these days.
Glad to have the little things since some of the bigger things are annoying me. Like my washing machine. It isn't working right again. :mmph: We have an appt tomorrow for it and the tech is going to start the paperwork on getting a replacement machine. This is ridiculous. Unfortunately, I don't think that we are going to have the option of using Leah's for a while. She and her mom are celebrating Rosh Hashanah this weekend with some extended family and I think that the kids decided that it would be smart to wait the 14 days until they see each other again to be safe. If Leah's cousins aren't there, they were ok with seeing each other because they don't know how careful the cousins are.
(this is never going to to end, is it?)
Today I am picking up groceries and then I am trying to tidy the house. That is going to be the "interesting" part since Gary is in full-blown Halloween prop mode. I have skeletons all over the house and when I say all over, I mean it. My SIL gave Gary his early Christmas present-- six 5" foot, poseable skeletons. There are some sitting at the pub table, some on the sofa, and some in the DR.
My gratitudes:
-the people at the FP
-Gary who makes me smile. I can't say always but much of the time
-autumn-scented candles
