I am so glad that my week was pretty much free. My friend whom I clean for has had to bump me twice this week. I was going to clean on Mon, then bumped to today and now up to Thursday. She has a lot of her plate and her house/kids can explode on occasion.

yesterday I steamed cleaned all of the carpets downstairs, and hopefully they will stay semi-clean for a while. I don't understand why old stains seem to pop back up when the weather gets humid. No worries though, I will enjoy the relative clean while I can. Which will be in about 3 more hours when Gary spills coffee on them. Between him and Scott- coffee spills all over. But the dogs like it, they will lick the rugs and linoleum clean LOL

Since it is cool right now, I am going to get some work done in the attic. I have summer clothes that I can put away and I want to see if I have some sort of a curtain to cover one window a bit. The back of the fridge faces the window which looks kind of crummy from the road.
Such excitement. :)

I might try to take J to the little park by the lake. It is literally 1/4 mile from my house but I will have to drive her there since it is past the point on the road where she will walk. i will never understand why she will absolutely not go past certain spots. SMH

Have a wonderful day!!!

Ok, then.. I am back and sheesh it is cold outside! I had to take the dogs out and this whole "Jaida having to be on a leash" is getting old. Even though my summer was mostly caring for her, I am glad that we did it when the weather was warm. I cannot imagine doing this in the winter.

Nancy- I love calm too, wish I had it more often. :) In our zone, morning glories aren't supposed to make it through winter so I have always collected the seeds to plant them in next spring.Lately, if the seeds drop and are then covered by leaves, they seem to be more protected and I will get some new plants in the spring but not always where I want them to be. This year I have some really nice purple flowers so I want to get the seeds from them- after a few seasons, they end up hybrid-izing and mostly turn up pink. I am also collecting the cilantro seeds- will plants some next year and will keep some for cooking.

Trudy- yup same here, sunny but cold. And dark- really dark at 8 pm. Where did the summer go? The R of S - most had some good roots and were woody, some were smaller and still had soft stalks. Hopefully they will do well over the winter, thanks!
I have to take my baskets down too, but they still have some flowers on them and dammit, I am not ready to give them up ;)
How are Heather and Mason? Hope the weather is less humid for them too.

Rae- 100% with ya on walking the dogs when it is dry, even if all of my sunflowers are wilted. I love the sun, but if we don't get some rain soon, it is going to be rough.
Great find on the bananas! My freezer is well stocked with them. Cait has been asking for banana bread and I had a dream about it the other night :D I should add walnuts and choc. chips to my shopping list.
Great karma for you- donating the clothes and the sofa!

My hubs doesn't cook that much either but he makes really good grilled cheese and penne and vodka. he wil grill , but since Cait and i don't eat meat, he mostly grills burgers/hot dogs for himself and Scott for lunches.

love to all!

Morning ladies... It is very cool here this morning also, but the sun is shining brightly so it is all good! I am hoping to get to the pool today, it finally opened again and everything should be sparkling clean. I think I will look at the schedule for the pool and perhaps try to swim in the afternoon and see how that works out for me. Other than that not much happening here.

Chris - Your poor lady that you clean for, it sounds like she has a very busy household! Lucky for her you are able to be pretty flexible this week! It must feel good to have your carpets all cleaned! My DH spills coffee all the time also, I find drips leading from the kitchen to the living room all the time. A bit easier to clean them up on the laminate though. But it seems I am constantly cleaning the floor :becky: Heather and Mason are doing very well, thanks for asking! Mason has a problem with his one eye, he keeps getting sty's, but it seems to be finally clearing up and the Dr. said that it will be something that he will just grow out of. He had a really nasty one this summer while he was out here. But it never seemed to bother him, he never complained about it. He must have a high pain tolerance. It looked horribly sore and gross. But it eventually cleared up with lots of tea bag compresses which he hated and keeping it nice and clean which was difficult to say the least LOL. Hope you can get Jaida out on a nice walk today! Weird that she won't go past a certain point on her walks! :noidea:

Well I will say hello to all of you ladies later on today, I will pop in and see who else has posted. Hope you all have a great morning!

Good morning, ladies. Sure feels like fall now. It was only 52 this morning and I had to put a sweater and socks on, so I could leave the back door open for the dogs to go out, and not freeze to death. Bailey and I have plans to meet up after work today and go for a walk along the dike and take a few pics. I'm giving her my little sony camera to use and I'll bring a dslr. Then we'll go somewhere for a bite to eat before I drop her off. Looking forward to hanging out with her and hearing more about her job and maybe talk about plans for her birthday at the end of the month.

Chris - you are so knowledgeable about the flowers/plants. I sure am not. I'm surprised my garden still is flourishing under my (not) green thumb.

Trudy - hadn't thought about it in years but my youngest daughter used to be prone to stys when she was young. She did outgrow them by her teens.

I'm heading out to walk the dogs now. Have a great day, everyone.

Hi everyone! I am back. My dh was out of work for a couple of months, so not so much time to chat. That was okay though cause we love being together. (Up until a couple of years ago, we were together almost 24/7. We worked together. We worked at church together. But we loved it.) Now that he is back at work, I miss him. And his new job is like a 70 minute commute each way. Twice his previous job. But at least he is working again.

Everyone is talking about cooler weather, but that is still a month away at least. Right now it is 75 degrees with an expected high of 84.
