Happy Tuesday! It is a bummer that it is raining today and then again on Thursday. One good thing about Gary starting his Halloween decorating so early this year is that a lot of people have seen it already. It is still disappointing for him and for the Trick or Treaters if it rains on Halloween. I don't miss the days of taking the kids out in the cold and/or rain.

I am proud of myself,I had a very successful shopping trip to get the paint and supplies that I needed to start the spackling and ceilings. My BIL and SIL gave us gift cards for Christmas that we hadn't used yet so I didn't have to worry too much about the cost. I have some other money put aside for the paint for the walls but I am not worrying about that until next week. Or the week after. It is going to be a long time until I am ready for the walls.

Even the spackling part is going to be a big job, some of the cracks are going to need more than one coat to be fixed. years ago, Caitlyn was doing an art project and the glitter glue bottle squirted all over the ceiling. I don't remember the exact reason why I didn't clean it up then, maybe I tried and it made a bigger mess? But at any rate, I never did and yesterday I tried to clean it off. Glitter glue, even after many years, still likes to spread to sparkle around when you mess with it. LOL

Off to the grocery store in the morning and then spackling this afternoon. And dinner. What am I going to make for dinner??????

Love to everyone! Double the amount if you can tell me what to make for dinner.

Hi Felis! Just you and me yesterday.
I like some of the autumn things you said- cozy food and smells. I am not so happy with the cold weather and temperatures. But I can start counting the days until it warms up again. I am sorry that you had a hard time getting the day organized. And Yes! I know what you mean about trying to clean after the pups when you can see what you are doing.
I don't blame you at all for not wanting to walk in the cold and dark. Complain all you need. And feel free to complain about the upcoming months and holidays and gifts. I know that i will be too. :yell: haha!!

Hope that al of the Ooos are going great! xoxo

Quick pop in and out today.

Sunday was a fabulous day... I got to meet one of my internet buddies from the UK. She and her hubby were driving from the east to west coast of the US. We had lunch together before they continued on. Hoping that they missed the bad weather that came in that night. Temps down below freezing with snow between here and Arizona state line. Got some scrapping done on Monday but then ran out of steam.. so read and napped some in the afternoon. The body is telling me that another front is passing through today. And tomorrow will be COLD... in the mid-30's for a high!!! Definitely time for the long-johns, knee-high socks, and sweatshirt! I am loving the plush throw that granddaughter gave me... I cuddle under it when I sit and read.

Got a headache... so no personals today.

Yesterday we both felt a lot better, even cleaned up and went out to dinner. I was eager to have my favorite salad. Today I'm going to the meeting and should be fine. Just hope I'm past spreading it around.

Chris that sounds like an awful lot of work doing the spackling. Not familiar with glitter glue, but that sounds pretty sneaky. For dinner don't you do a pasta with squash? That has an autumn appeal. Or something with spaghetti squash? Or anything with garlic and cheese? Now if someone would come make one of these for all of us, eh?

Kay, sorry for your headache, but the weather is probably a factor in all your feelings. This weekend it will be colder here and could have a little snow in some areas, hopefully not us yet.

Felis, as Chris said, complain away, all you want or need. We're good at "listening" to each other. And I think we also all understand not wanting to be out doing some things in the dark. I haven't gotten new photos of the poinsettia turning yet, have to remember that. At least it is a fun and colorful sign of shorter days.

Hope everyone is feeling good!

I had one of these ups and downs days, you know it!
Actually my day was progressive going from regular to lovely. :cheer2:
But suddenly I accidentally heard the evening news (which usually I'm trying to not do), and all these tragedies all around the world, upset me, makes me feel helpless and very sad.

I'll try today to be in the bed on time, and clear my mind with music. :behindsofa:

Chris, I'm not much familiar with the glitter glue, but we was removed seconds glue with nail polish remover and then hot water. Did you try it already? Bravo for the successful paint and supplies shopping trip!
My suggestion is Risotto. Made with vegetables or mushroom, it's allows to be added additional made meatballs and the whole family is happy. What you did?

Kay, sorry to hear about your headache! Get well soon! Reading and cuddle on warm sounds as a great decision, and maybe with cup of tea!

Jean, so happy to hear that no needs to miss the meeting! Have fun! I really appreciate your patience, from all of you! and yes I'm afraid that next two months will be for complaining, but I'll try to keep the balance in my posts, or stay on a side when can't, because it's holidays time!
