Uh-oh!! I almost posted this as the date: October 52. That would be weird o_O LOL!

How are you all doing today? I'm pretty darn achy, but the carpets are clean. So are the bathrooms. Unfortunately, the steam cleaner is not looking so good, the seal on the bottom of the water container is cracking and started to leak while I was using it. I couldn't figure out why I was sucking up more and more water. Everything I dumped the dirty water, it was "splashing" all over the bathroom floor. Then I realized it was seeping out of the bottom. Darn it. I showed Gary what was happening and I hope that there is some sort of waterproof sealer he can use. If not, I am going to see if I can find a new "bucket' since the rest of the machine was running fine.

Caitlyn said that the interview went well and that the panel seemed impressed by her presentation at the end. She was the first of the two interviewees so she won't know anything for a while. I keep thinking that even if they are equally qualified on paper, she is a known quantity. The staff/dept knows that she will fit in and doesn't need training with their software systems. That *has* to be a plus right? Especially since registration opens up next week and she is in charge of 150 students. Right?? :D

We are going to look at some wedding dresses today. We are going to pick up my mom and head to the shop that is nearby. Should be fun!!

TTYS!!

@LSlycord How does it feel to be "home" in IA? Enjoy the time with your family!! Thank you for the good thoughts for Caitlyn! ♥

@bcgal00 I was so happy to see the FB pics of the dogs on the walk, Taz is just too cute with his big smile and waggy tail. Remi is just a handful of joy too! You are not a bad doggy mom, Taz will forgive you as long as you sneak him some extra treats.

@Cherylndesigns The compound is going to feel so much more "right" when Ava and Adrienne get home. Hope you get to visit with them a little bit today.
Scott is so quick with his words, I can write well since I have time to think and consider my words. His brain is a mile-a-minute and can spout off just about anything. It's amazing to watch and listen as long as you aren't the one he is debating with

@scrap-genie Felis will love seeing the poinsettia colors. Sure means that Christmas will be here before we know it *gulps*

@vickyday ha! You are no help with my turkey kielbasa recipe LOL
Welcome back, I can't wait to hear more about your trip and see some of the pictures you took!

Good morning ladies. Had a good time yesterday with my niece and met my youngest great nephew. We went to the grocery store to get a few things that we can’t get in Florida. Then we had dinner with friends.
Tonight we are having dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, niece and family and nephew and family. Anxious to see the rest of the littles. Going to stop at the nursing home to see my aunt.
Resting up. Brian and I both slept until 9 this morning. I think we are leaving here on Thursday morning and we will probably get home Saturday. It’s been a good trip but I am starting to miss my home.

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out in a bit for some early morning photos at the park. I love the fall colors. I'll get some scrapping done this afternoon. Should be a quiet day. Bella's kennel cough is improving. Mine haven't shown any symptoms so I don't think they will get it. Mushroom/onion smothered pork chops for dinner...yum.

@faerywings Glad to hear that C's interview went well. Hope she hears soon that she got it.

@LSlycord What a fun time, traveling around and visiting all the family but yes, I bet you will be glad to get home this wkend. I was only gone 4 days and couldn't wait to get home :)

Time to head out. HAGD

Good morning.

It's still rainy here and much cooler. It's only 48 right now and with the icky dark weather it seems colder.

That sounds good about Cait's interview, Chris @faerywings - and you're right she already knows everybody and the software. Keep my fingers crossed for a good result. That's so funny about Scott and his talking. Braden is the same way, and he just knows stuff - we laugh about the "stuff" he knows - it's crazy. Nobody can out-talk him. Asher's kind of the same way, though. I'm always asking him how he knows this or that. He just laughs and says "I just do". He's a little adult, though - always has been.

Have fun wedding dress shopping today. Ava says when she gets married, she wants to wear a black dress. Is Cait thinking black? I can just see her in that. She and I already have a "future wedding" board on Pinterest. LOL I have a feeling she'll change her mind about the black dress (or her mother will). She asked me what I though and I told her that if she wants to wear a black dress then she should. Side note: Roger said the other night, during game night, that I'd agree with Ava no matter what she said. BWAHAHA

The girls are back - they got home very late last night and I'm sure I'll see them sometime today. They both had to work today so they're slammed since they took yesterday off.

Linda @LSlycord glad you're having a wonderful time and getting to spend time with family. There's no place like home, though. I'm always glad to get back home, too. Safe travels.

See you all later and Happy Tuesday.

The prospects for Caitlyn sound very good! Hoping it is a slam-dunk for her!

Hoping your achiness eases up soon! It should as long as you keep moving!
Too bad about your steam cleaner! I never used mine, so I gave it to Ilene when I moved in with Mark after we got married. Sure hope Gary can fix it for you!

HA! I didn't go back and read to play catch-up. Hope someone gave you some ideas for the kielbasa, or maybe you found something in a google search.
Thanks for the "welcome back!" We had a great time away.....great conference and wonderful time with my son.....but it is always nice to be back in your own bed! I really was a slacker on the picture-taking through the week. Barely took any at the conference. Only took a few (compared to previous trips) at my son's. We spent a LOT of time playing Qwirkle! My son is a brainiack and I thought he would not like the game. But he loved it! I was so glad! We spent a lot of time laughing, joking and kidding! My DIL planned a couple of day trips to do some leaf-peeping in their area, but the leaves were not very brilliant yet. There were a few trees. The weather was beautiful! Mark is so......how do I want to put it.....let's just say other drivers drive him crazy! ;) And the longer we are in the car, the worse the vocalization is! So, he wanted to drive back (8 hour trip going) at night, with the idea of missing a lot of "moronic" drivers being on the road during the daytime. We left Alabama at 8:15 p.m. Sunday evening (9:15 our time in NC). We were able to make the trip in about 7 hours. We only stopped for gas and potty breaks. We brought everything in from the car, went to bed and was back up by 11 a.m. We slept like bumps on a log Monday night!!!
I will be scrapping some of the photos I took. Especially since I just remembered I am in charge of one of the challenges for November! So, I need to get that done SOON!! Yikes! Where did October go?!
