Hello and happy Tuesday!
It is not cold here right now and that has me feeling better than the last few cold mornings. It is still very dark out there but I think the sun is supposed to come out later.
What did I do yesterday? Cleaned. Worked on my grocery order. Ran a load of laundry before the tech came in the afternoon. He is ordering more parts for the machine b/c Home Depot is being stupid.
I talked to my mom for a long time on the phone. I miss her so much. (I know, I say it all of the time). After we got off of the phone, Cait and I were talking about the upcoming holidays and we realized that we had a similar idea for Christmas Eve. I had thought that it would be nice to drive down and wave them from the driveway. Caitlyn wants to make it into a "parade" route- first my brother's, then parents, then my brother-in-law, then the ILs, maybe even my BFFs. That would be all of the people we would usually see on Christmas Eve. Make a big loop - it would probably take about 2+ hours of driving- but we would get to see everyone's lights and decorations too.
Having an idea or possible plan makes it seem a bit better. This year will be the first in 50 that my dad's fire company isn't having Santa visit on the fire truck. The first time I won't be there for it either.
Next year. I will look toward next year.
If the sun dries up the grass, I might start raking some of the leaves in the back yard. One of the benefits of having woods in the back is that all I need to do is take them into it. I should try and take the dog(s) out for a walk too.
Gratitudes:
-my mom. She is my rock and steadying force when I feel shaky. She loves me so damn much and I will never doubt that. She taught me how to be a good mom, one who loves her kids unconditionally, showed me how important it is for them to know that. I am blessed that I can reach out and give Scott and Caitlyn huge hugs and they return them.
Love to all of you! xoxo
