The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello and happy Tuesday!
It is not cold here right now and that has me feeling better than the last few cold mornings. It is still very dark out there but I think the sun is supposed to come out later.

What did I do yesterday? Cleaned. Worked on my grocery order. Ran a load of laundry before the tech came in the afternoon. He is ordering more parts for the machine b/c Home Depot is being stupid.
I talked to my mom for a long time on the phone. I miss her so much. (I know, I say it all of the time). After we got off of the phone, Cait and I were talking about the upcoming holidays and we realized that we had a similar idea for Christmas Eve. I had thought that it would be nice to drive down and wave them from the driveway. Caitlyn wants to make it into a "parade" route- first my brother's, then parents, then my brother-in-law, then the ILs, maybe even my BFFs. That would be all of the people we would usually see on Christmas Eve. Make a big loop - it would probably take about 2+ hours of driving- but we would get to see everyone's lights and decorations too.
Having an idea or possible plan makes it seem a bit better. This year will be the first in 50 that my dad's fire company isn't having Santa visit on the fire truck. The first time I won't be there for it either.
Next year. I will look toward next year.

If the sun dries up the grass, I might start raking some of the leaves in the back yard. One of the benefits of having woods in the back is that all I need to do is take them into it. I should try and take the dog(s) out for a walk too.

Gratitudes:
-my mom. She is my rock and steadying force when I feel shaky. She loves me so damn much and I will never doubt that. She taught me how to be a good mom, one who loves her kids unconditionally, showed me how important it is for them to know that. I am blessed that I can reach out and give Scott and Caitlyn huge hugs and they return them.

Love to all of you! xoxo

Rae- I think everyone is working on getting rid of clutter. Gary brought two bags of garbage out of the attic this morning,. My kids did that last week. My parents and Ils have been too. I just have to train them to not offer their junk to Gary who takes it and adds it to our junk. LOL
It had to have been a hard decision to drop your client, but it was a good one. I know that you had been thinking about retiring at some point and this brings you one step closer. It is smart of you to listen to your body as well.
I will keep the seeds in mind when I cook, I don't use sesame seeds/other seeds often but will put them on the table instead of in the food. TFS!!

Trudy- You are lucky that everyone was able to take the beef you had bought, can't imagine trying to store that much on your own. That is really smart to have everyone go in together, it is probably much more economical to do it that way too.
You have such a busy week ahead, good for you! Enjoy the pool today.
Happy b-day your DIL, I can't imagine her not loving the painting you sent. Yesterday was my sister in law's b-day too. I couldn't;t afford a gift but I made her a card with a photo of her, my brother, and my nephew together.
I am glad that the boys are well and that aside from a few tears, Hunter is doing well at school. I hope that the cases stay lower by them and by you.

Cheryl- you did mention the tea and thank you for reminding me. However, I take melatonin at night, and if IIRC you shouldn't take valerian and melatonin at the same time. Not to mention if I drank tea at night I would have to get up to go to the bathroom a bazillion times! :p
bleck. Venison... I dated a guy in college who was a hunter and I tried to eat it when he cooked. (The things you do for love *shudders*) Nope, don't like it. Don't like thinking about meat coming from anything other than the plastic wrapper which is why I cannot cook anything with bones. The chicken that I got from the FP last month, I was gagging trying to rinse it out before I cooked it. Bleck.

On that note. I will wish all of you a wonderful day! ::grouphug

Morning ladies... I will try to get this posted before Heather and Hunter face time with me, seems she always calls when I am in the middle of talking with all of you. Well I had a pretty productive day yesterday! I got a page finally posted to the gallery for a challenge and then also got my January page done for my Calendar. I always struggle with the January page and usually end up doing it last. However I had this cute photo of Hunter when he was at our Son's for a visit and he was stacking up all the cushions on the patio set that was outside and then would do the "Ta Da" thing and it suddenly clicked that he should be my January page LOL. Only 9 more to go, but it will get done! So I plan on doing at least one more Calendar page today. Off to the pool just before lunch, it will be good to be in the water again!

Chris - Yes it was great that we could all go in on the meat together, still was very expensive but so much better than the stuff at the grocery stores and a better price! DIL did love her painting and the card that I made for her, wish I would have taken a photo of the card, it was a turtle also, a shadow box card that wished her a "Turtley Awesome Birthday". Sounds like you were busy yesterday and I hope that you are able to get out in the fresh air to do some yard work or take the dogs for a walk! Your plan for Christmas Eve sounds great!! I understand how much you miss your Mother!! I still miss mine very much and she has been gone for years now! Thankfully you can still hear her voice and see her face, she sounds like an amazing Mother and she has taught you well!! Your kids are the best and I am sure that they know just how much you love them!

Cheryl - Yup I don't blame you for not liking Venison, there is just something about the taste of wild deer, that gamey yucky taste. Can't like it, never will!! Nice that you have a house husband!! Mine is very much a clean freak and he does the dishes every night too, gotta love it!

Ok I made it through this post before my face time, so off to the gallery to leave some love. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

Gratitudes - The colours of Fall are splendid this year!
I can swim my laps again!
I talk to my kids and grands almost every day!

Hi, all... Finally got my computer out of the shop... but when I hooked the monitor back up - the monitor was showing multiple overlapping views of screen. It is a new monitor and did the same thing when we first attached it to the computer. DD#1 was able to fix it then but neither one of us was able to figure out what we did then to get it just showing a single view like it should. Her DH [our computer guru] won't be able to look at it for a couple of weeks... so I am using an old monitor [small square screen] for now. Hoping that they resolved the problems on the computer. Still checking it out and still having trouble with it holding the log-ins like it should... grrr! They did find some malware in the OS and got that cleaned up. I hope to move things over to DH's computer in the near future. His has Windows10 as native OS so that might resolve things for me. But that will take time to get it set up with all that I need on it.

After I picked up the computer yesterday afternoon, I went and voted. Was able to walk right in, get my ballot and vote with no delays! 15 minutes in and out!! Due to the rapid increase in Covid in the state, I only did the 2 must-do stops and came home. Will need to do some grocery shopping soon but putting it off until later. Was going to get a haircut but now that will go on the backburner until the numbers go back down.

I am way behind on scrapping for forum and designers so will be playing catch-up for the next several weeks. Will try t9 pop back in and do personals once I get caught up things.

Morning, all.

Chris, what a lovely thought for Christmas Eve. I think that would be just lovely and what a novel idea from Cait.

I didn't do anything yesterday except walk Daisy a couple of times. The Canadian Geese are back. Chuck counted 20 of them and he estimates that the males weigh about 40 pounds. They're probably on their way south from Canada and won't stay long. But they're fun to watch while they're resting here. We haven't seen them today, but they might be down in the pond. We can't really see into the pond from our house - just the edge.

Kay, your computer must be driving you mad! You poor thing!

Trudy, have fun FaceTiming. I FT'd with my youngest dd for over 2 hours a couple of days ago. It's just nice to see faces. That's amazing that you were in and out at the polls. You scored!

Chris, you did tell me you took melatonin. I took it once and had a bad "trip" on it. Scariest night of my life. I'm scared to death of it now. Birds were flying at me! But I know it helps a lot of people.

Everybody have a good day. It's dark and drizzling here - not going to be fun walking today, but I have rainboots and a hooded raincoat now, so no excuses.

good late day - it started out so gloomy with lots of clouds but by the time I walked after lunch it was mostly sunny and was in the 70s. My DH scared me - I came down stairs and found him a sleep and not going to work. He did not wake up until noon. But he went to the doctors and he was strep negative, flu negative and Covid negative so it is just a sinus infection with lots of sleep required. He is no longer a spring chicken. But so glad he is pretty ok. Luther and I had a great walk. It was gorgeous out. It was funny our mail woman noticed my walking up my driveway and asked if she had not just seen me walking Luther and I laughed. I explained that Luther just likes to walk and poop and then go home so I drop him off and then I continue. A happy compromise for us both. Now watching the first game of the World Series. No matter which team wins it means that that town will have two Championship teams in one year. For Tampa Bay it will be for hockey and LA is for basketball. Too bad it cant be spread to more fan base cities. Went to my dermatologist and there were two places on my face that needed to be frozen off. It does not hurt just looks weird. But better to catch it early. Had an interesting notice from our town - a bear was spotted in our town. We have wooded areas and I guess it moved from them to streets. Never heard more so hoping the bear moved on. Worse news was that an 82 year old man was hit and left to die in the middle of the road near a shopping center in the next town over. Had sad it that.

Chris I hope you too had a great afternoon. The leaves are really turning and are gorgeous. I think your Christmas Eve parade sounds wonderful. Hope you pull it off.

Trudy I cannot image how any of your family would not love your card or painting. So I am sure your sister loved it. Glad pool is working out. Congrats on the calendar pages.

Kay I saw that Covid was rising in NM. Glad you did the safe thing and awesome you have voted.

Cheryl I hate more than anything walking in the rain. I grew up in AZ and I don't like being wet. We had Canada geese in the river last night but did not see them today. The are for sure migrating south for the winter. I love seeing them flying in their "Vs". Have fun on your walk.

Waving to all
Have a great day.
