My oh my, you know it isn't going to be a great day when you wake up, and your computer won't boot up, at all. Just sitting at the black gateway screen. Even when I tried to hit F12 to enter boot whatever... nothing. Nothing at all. It was fine yesterday, so how can it break while it isn't even on?? The only thing that is keeping my sanity in check is that I do have Carbonite. Worst case scenario- I do have my mai hard drive files backed up. This shouldn't affect my ehd (I hope) so my scrap stuff should be ok.
My IT guy is fast asleep in my bed ATM, so while I am out today I hope he can fix it. Good thing I can pay my IT guy in food and clean laundry

Not a great chatty morning. I am on my ancient laptop and it is even harder for me to type/navigate.

I am going to sign off now, please keep your fingers crossed that MMG can get my computer working again!

xoxo

O Chris- I surely hope he can. Yeah for backup though. My tuesdays are turning into Mondays- yikes- just discovered a bill in a pile last night that needed to be paid yday- yikes again. My furnace got fixed yesterday and the heat came on this morning- guess it must be chilly out! I accomplished a lot yesterday- lets see if I can continue with that today! Have wOnderful days everyone!

Just a quick pop in to say HI!!!

Going to put Jesse on the bus and get me a cup of coffee real quick....then I have loads of work to do!!!

Hope you all have a GREAT day!!! :)

Oh no Chris, having your PC broken is the worst possible feeling....hope it's fixable soon.

Trying to wake up, stayed up late last night watching Terra Nova, House and Hawaii 5 O. What was I thinking......

NUTS, Chris!! i hate when inexplicable computer stuff starts happening. i contend that there is a little person inside (PC) computers who messes with stuff when we're asleep and the computer is turned off. good luck. sometimes the goofy things self-heal by the next time you turn them on. hope that's so for you.

after a day at the hospital with my Aunt getting a pacemaker, (her only son lives in Canada) i have a lot of catching up to do. plus i need to get out and have a little enjoyable time for myself, in addition to addressing the mess in my house.

does anyone know anything abut making stereographic photos for viewing through an old-fashioned stereoscope? i have been wating an ENORMOUS amount of time trying to figure it out. i've succeeded a few times, but it's really hit and miss. i bought some old stereo cards and a stereoscope for my son and his family for Christmas, and i want to make some cards myself for them. i'm crazy for doing this. i ALWAYS do stuff like this that takes so much time to do and ends up costing a fortune!

OK. off to do some laundry, vacuum this room and put the Roomba to work in the family room. have a happy Tuesday!

notta lotta here!

i hope your computer gets fixed Chris!!

Anna....i dont even think i know what that is? LOL

Its getting cold here...i had my fireplace going yesterday for the first time this season WOOT! i love having a fireplace!

Morning all... Off to work soon, its so dark outside and really foggy!! But a short day today and then I will have the house to myself as hubby is working the afternoon shift this week. I love him, but I love having time to just myself too, no one to bug me about how much time I am on the computer. LOL.

Chris- I really hope your tech man can get your computer fixed at least the price is right for the call out :becky:

Nana Linda - Hope you get your work done then you can come and play here!!

Frani - I stayed up to late watching House and then Dexter. But wide awake 15min. before the alarm goes off (I hate that!!!)

Phylis - I have no clue as to how you would make those photos :noidea: but it sounds like a wonderful gift !! Hope you can find something online that will help you out! Try this link http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-stereo-graphic-images/

Kiliki - Horray for the fireplace, we use ours a lot!! Have a great day!

Off to shower and :brushteeth:

Trudy, thanks for that link! that's exactly what i'm having trouble with. there's one technique where you have to move the camera about an inch to the right, but it's so HARD to do as exactly as necessary to get a good result. i wanted to do this with existing photos and i thought that the shifting thing would work, but so far it hasn't. gonna study this method!

Morning all.

Chris, so glad you get to sleep with your IT guy. Same in my house. My only advice is turn it off and say a ..secular?..prayer to all the little bits and bytes of the universe.

I've packed my suitcase, eaten my breakfast and having some of my last looks at Nawlins. We don't leave til 2pm so it's off to a used bookstore to see if I can exchange a book for an antique postcard. Maybe a lunch in town, maybe not.

What I have ALSO been doing is playing with a new ACDSee APP from the apple APP Store. $12.95 and it does what I had hoped that frickin' pro version would do ...Help me organize my digi stuff. I WON the software at Designer Digitals a few years ago, so it was no cost to me. This new app is all I wanted. woooeee!

Hugs to all I didn't mention...later this week I'll be a kinder poster.
