I survived another very long day in a Dr's waiting room yesterday, but I am here, and happy to be drinking my coffee!
We left at 10am, her appt was at 11, so I always build in a bit of extra time to get lost. This was very helpful when I took her to the allergist in August and the GPS had me driving in circles in the pouring rain heh! We got there a bit before 11. She didn't even get called in until 1 pm, and we didn't leave until 2pm. Got home at 3. We had texted Gary to please make us grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch b/c we were both starving!

Needless to say, I was not physically up to working with Jaida and this is just not good for either her or me. That, and food shopping prep are the big items today. Not much else going on here.

QOTD
What three adjectives best describe you? Let's focus on positives only! And do more than three if you like.
*I just had to delete mine b/c I was using nouns LOL*
And now I am realizing that I have no adjectives to describe me, I am drawing a blank! I googled and found a list to help :pound:
https://www.englishclub.com/vocabulary/adjectives-personality-positive.htm

  1. Funny
  2. Loyal
  3. Loving
  4. Compassionate

Nancy- I had to googles dingman's Falls. I knew that had to be in Dingman's Ferry and I pass signs for that on the way to my parents house in PA. You were on 402 South, from Rt 84 and I take 402 North to get into Hawley, PA. It's so funny that in all of the years that we have been going to PA, (17+) we have never made a trip down there. I guess it would be a little less than an hour from my mom's but that might be a really nice trip to take someday. I am going to tuck that away in my brain for next summer :)
The weather really has been so pretty, and that area is usually a couple of weeks ahead in the seasons than by you, so the trees must have been stunning.
I am also going to have to see where Dale's Mkt is, b/c Scott is addicted to hot wings.
You do amazing with your photography of birds and nature- and action shots too- without or without the "proper lenses."

Claire- that is fantastic news about Robbie's appt! He likes to work with his hands? That has to e so satifying for him :)

Trudy- woohoo! So glad that your stomachs help up ok. My oven has the same feature- the probe, but being that I don't roast meat, I have never used it. But :high5: to your FIL for figuring it out.
Hope that the rains that came through yesterday didn't make more of a mess for you to clean in your yard.
I love that photo, you really take such stunning scenery photos. It helps that you live in a gorgeous area, perfect opportunities to get nice shots! That pic is so serene.

jean- WTG on getting great feedback on your presentation., Even if you know you did good, it always feels so much better when others recognize your hard work.
Soooo with you on the bending down for macro shots. It gets harder and harder to straighten back up. Between that, and my hands always shaking- I can never get those pics right.

hugs to everyone who pops in!

good morning - whew I was up late watching the Mets defeat the Dodgers 13-7. The Mets lead the series 2-1 and if they win tonight then on the League Championship series. Very exciting. The Mets were not hitting at all at the end of the regular season but the bats came alive yesterday. Fun to watch. Tonight I have a home Devils game so that is exciting. They are playing the Nashville Predators. It will be fun watching hockey! Yesterday as it was Columbus Day there were three afternoon hockey games so I had one of those crazy sports all day days. But I also got my laundry done and went on two walks. My girlfriend and I went late in the day as our weather has been so beautiful.

Chris that is terrible to have to wait that long when you have an appointment. I too would have been starving. I hope they had good news for her to help her. Maybe today you will feel more like working with Jaida. Enjoy the nice weather. I think Dale's is either on rt15 or rt206.

Claire it is great news about Robbie. Working with your hands and making something of the wood has to be fun!

Trudy glad you did not get any heartburn. But seems like a good time! I got the stamps they are gorgeous - thanks so so much! I love them! your photo of the trees is gorgeous!

Jean congrats on the presentation. I knew you were well prepared. I love close up photos too! I have found that a zoom lens means I don't have to kneel down so often LOL.

Have a great day ladies!

Morning gals... Foggy here this morning, but it looks like the sun will make an apperance today. It was a busy Sunday for us even though it rained all day. Lots of cleaning and laundry and then a trip to home hardware to pick up a few things. DH repaired a dent in the wall in the bedroom downstairs. The door stopper was broken in DD's old bedroom and when the kids were here one of them flung open the door and BANG the doorknob went right through the wall. Oh well it was a quick fix and now it looks brand new again. New stoppers for the door and an extra one on the floor, just incase :becky: Then took some photos of our home gym and put it up for sale. It has been sitting there un-used for quite some time and I finally convinced DH that neither of us is ever going to use it and it is just collecting dust and taking up space. We originally bought it for DD to help her get her strength back and she did use it for a few years. She found that the treadmill was more to her liking and so even she stopped using it. Hopefully someone will buy it and get more use than we did from it.

Chris - That is horrible that you had to wait so very long to see a Dr. It is criminal to expect people to have to spend their entire day in a waiting room! Hope Gary had lots of food waiting for you when you arrived home! After all that I sure hope Cait got what she needed to help her out too!! Try to enjoy today, sounds like your weather is amazing for today! Good luck with Princess Jaida also!

Nancy - I am so happy that the stamps arrived to you! So happy that you like them also!! Something that I am sure some of your hockey fan friends do not have either. Will you frame them or anything? I still have to get back to the post office and pick up that collection of last years stamps for DH. It would be a fun little gift for Christmas! Loving your layouts in the gallery, so nice to travel around with you LOL.

Jean - WTG on the presentation, I am sure you were very well prepared and it does a heart good to know that others appreciate your hard work!!

 Hi Sharron!!! Hope that you are having a good day and that your weekend was spent with those you love the most!

QOTD - Grateful, Healthy, Proud,Happy!

Ok waiting for a Skype call from DD, looking forward to hearing all about their Thanksgiving long weekend. I think they too Mason to a pumpkin patch and corn maze, she mentioned that they would go on a hay ride and visit a barn filled with animals also. Mason would have been in heaven, he loves cows and chickens!! DS and his family were in Saskatchewan for the long weekend, so I am anxious to hear how that visit went with all of DIL's family. Wish we could have been together with everyone, but oh well it is what it is. Then off to swimming after the call. Hope you all enjoy your Tuesday!!

Afternoon, O-zzies! Cool and windy again minus the sun, but it's OK. Yesterday a friend called in a tizzy as she was just about to get something she needed for her genealogy book (and "lost" in her computer apparently) when her power went out. After that she couldn't get to the internet other than her email. I got the thing (1920 newspaper article) and emailed it to her but DH nor I could solve the problem. She was so grateful I got the article for her as she has a relative visiting Thursday for whom she's printing the relevant part of the book and this is among the front pages. Today she let me know her DH fixed it by unplugging the router/modem device and plugging it back in. Computers!!

Chris, hope Cait got some good from that very delayed appt. Wishing Jaida and you get a good workup today. Forgot about the shaking hands part of my problem with closeup photos! Actually I can no longer hand hold a telephoto lens though I used to.

Nancy, I had missed the news about the Mets game but did enjoy seeing the Cubbies win. Yesterday sounds busy but very enjoyable for you and tonight Devils at home!

Trudy, bet Mason had a wonderful time. That just sounds like fun for anyone. Hope the home gym goes quickly. At least it served its purpose when new. Hope the sun comes through and you have a great day.

For adjectives, this is SO subjective, but with three I'll go with
loyal
intelligent
determined.

Hi and HAGD to all.
