Happy first day of...Halloween!:wickedwitch
Oh yeah, October is always a fun and spooky month for us here in the Faery house. I am sure that I have shared this story over the years I have been here, but I will share it again. Sott was young and whispered to me one day that Halloween was his favorite holiday and could I please not tell Santa!
My brother brought me a bag of pumpkin foods from Trader Joe's the other day. Cait was going to make pumpkin waffles for dinner last night but Scott had to stay late at school. Last minute, I grabbed some butternut squash pasta from the bag and made that with some sage and butter for dinner. I lit my pumpkin caramel candle and am ready to celebrate.
BFF and I had a great time catching up yesterday- kids, pets, parents, you name it, we talked about it. And she *loved* my hair. I was so happy that she did and told her the only reason I was able to go through with cutting so much off was because of her. And all of those photos she texted me for inspiration LOL
I stopped at Lowe's on the way home and picked up the stripper for the DR table, the wood conditioner, and stain. As I was leaving, I had this feeling that it was more expensive than I expected. But then, maybe I misread the label. So when did I become *convinced* that the amount I paid was wrong? 3 am. Yup, 3 am. I woke up in the middle of the night and thought that there was *no way* the total was that much. I tried to ignore it, put a sleep meditation on, and my mind would not stop drifting. I had to get out of bed, look at the receipt to see if I was right. Unfortunately, it wasn't an incorrect price but one item rang up twice. I don't know if I can do anything about it. I can bring the receipt back but how do I prove I only bought 1? I was so mad at myself for not listening to my gut before I left the store. It is only $15 but that is a lot of money to me. But to have to drive a half-hour to the store to possibly get a refund, I don't know if that makes sense either.
I am going to go food shopping this morning and then bring the table outside to start stripping it this afternoon. The weather is going to be warm and dry today and tomorrow so I should be able to get that done. I asked my friend if I could clean for her on Thursday instead of when it will be cool and rainy.
A busy day for sure, especially since I am running on little sleep. More :tea: please!
xoxo
