Oh my, I would *love* to say that this will all be over this time tomorrow. But I am very afraid that it is just going to be the beginning of more nastiness. Anyone want to come and hide in my blanket fort with me? Thankfully, I already voted, I love Mail-In Ballots. Scott needs to go today since they wouldn't accept his application for a Mail-In Ballot because his signature didn't match his original application. We typically don't get long lines here, but we are in a conservative area of NJ and he is most definitely not.

At any rate, I can only hope for the best for this country and do what I can to make it stronger. And yeah, you all know me, I do *not* mean that in a militaristic sense but in a kind sense. :hippie:

I got more stuff done in the kitchen and I love it when the kids will say how good the house smells. Black Cherry Merlot Soy Tarts for burners was the big hit yesterday.

I am off to clean for my friend and she is leaving a bunch of food from her pantry to pick through before she drops off the rest to the food pantry. I am soooo grateful for friends and family!!

Hope that everyone has a wonderful day! The weather looks to be nice here, and Caitlyn mentioned that we should take the dogs out for a walk again. Might be a good day to do that!

Nancy- hahaha!! That coat sounds amazing, but I would stay away from all security areas in it. Could you imagine wearing it to the airport? We would never see you again, you would be in some Black Site. :pound: Scott wants hand/foot warmers while he is working out with the Christmas Trees at work and Gary found Zippo ones that use lighter fuel to keep warm. I guess he has a good 6 weeks left of work, and it might not be a bad idea. He has Raynaud's like me and Cait so when his feet get cold, it is bad.
Lucky you to have the house to yourself!!

Caitlyn is down for coffee so I am going to post this and chat with her for a bit. BRB!

I am back. Cait and I were laughing at how silly our dogs look when they "wrestle," Ray with all of her missing teeth trying to grab onto Jaida's legs. Jaida making the *most* ridiculous sounds, she sounds like a duck. SMH. Silly pups.

Back to Nancy- yay to your Devils and good luck tonight. It is such a joy when the families are together laughing, isn't it? My MIL says the same to us, except she wants us to keep her since we understand diabetes better than any nursing h
I have said it before, but darn it, I hate Lyme and will never understand it as long as I live. That reminds me, I still haven't found the best way to donate my organs for research. It is in the back of my head, then poof it is gone. Look at my FB page for what Trudy posted for me. wandering in my brain is terrifying !

HellO and welcome to the Ooos, NancyP! This is our little kooky corner of Oscraps where we chat about our days, drink virtual coffee/tea/Dr. Pepper, and talk about dogs/kids/parents/the weather/TV shows or absolutely nothing at all :D
Jump right in! Some of us do "personals" but that is absolutley*not* a requirement. There are no requirements except to enjoy yourself. :)
For me, the Ooo's are my link to sanity on occasion. OK-- very often. ha! Sometimes, I have no idea if anyone reads my ramblings but it doesn't matter, it is good to get things all out. Of course, I also love incessantly sharing stories about my kids and my dogs. I have 2 of each, plus a disabled hubby and 2 very fat cats. I kind of talk about them in that order too.
We are supposed to get up to 65* today which is unusual for Nov in the mountains of NJ and which is why I will struggle with myself if I should take the dogs for a hike or not. However, I cannot even imagine having snow this early. I hate snow and that is one of my non-stop  in the winter.
So good to have you join us!!

Trudy- what a fantastic hike that you had! I would love to see the seals and sea lions. Did you get any pictures of them?
I loved that quote that you posted for me on FB- too funny!!! And too much of the truth. But it sounds like you understand how that all goes with getting distracted. Did you get more done with the calendars?
I am with you getting as much done in a day as Rae does. I don't know how she does it!
What is your secret, Rae??? Mine is caffeine (surprise!!!) but that doesn't do the trick very often anymore.
How are Mason and heather doing? Is it getting cold out by them yet?

Jean- isn't it funny how having the husbands at home throws a wrench into everything? I guess I am lucky (???) that I won't have to deal with that later in life since it happened early for me.
Hope that you were able to get the stuff done that you needed to while he was out. I like Sherrod Brown, he is pretty progressive and that is what I am all about. ;) I am sure he had it right about the Walmart stuff. Bad karma... Sounds a bit like out "American Dream" at the Meadowlands, Nancy? What a mess that was/is/will be.

Rae- that is so odd about not getting into the site. Glad you found your way back to us. How awesome that Beckham was so happy and had to giggle about Taz sleeping upstairs, away from him.
Good idea to ask your Dr. about that cough. It is good to hear that you are feeling a bit better but 2 1/2 weeks is a long time. That is what I think about Jaida being overstimulated too. I will try tapping her butt when she does it and see if that helps.

Better get going- have a wonderful day!

good morning - this will be quick as I have a few min before I take Luther to training, then I will stop and vote and then get gas. And our state just enacted a 23 cent gas tax so that is the pits but if the money goes towards bridges and road maintenance then it is okay! Then home and clean and perhaps grocery store. But luckily I love that I have a game tonight so I do not have to watch election coverage all night and by the time I get home there should be a winner and I hope it is my Devils LOL. My son asked it I went to the grocery store yesterday and I said no and then he had the nerve to question what I did yesterday. I am still angry about that.

Chris the coat is great but there is nothing for the hands and they get so cold in the am. I need hand warmers too! I get mine at REI. They are natural and not too expensive. And they last a long time. Good day for a walking dogs.

NancyP welcome. Sounds warm for the mid west for sure! Spent 6 years in Madison and yes we often had snow by now!

Trudy so glad the hike went well. And then all those seals - wow!

Rae have fun with Beckham and Taz walks and Ava too! And then work LOL you are sick and still super busy. I think your Dr will say slow down!

Jean yes husbands can be a pain. Made me laugh.

Ok I am out have a great day!

Chris, I am also glad I voted early. The county I live in had a huge turnout for early voting. As of 2013, there were almost 287,000 people (including children) living in St. Lucie County and 53,000 people voted early. So I'm wondering if almost everyone voted early or if the turnout is going to be huge.

Morning gals... It is trying hard to be a nicer day today! In between the periods of rain, there is some blue sky out there somewhere! I had a pretty good sleep last night and only woke up for a bit around 4am then back to sleep until 7. Making up for the crappy sleep I had the night before. Oh my sleep cycles are just so crazy :loco: Well it is what it is and it will be this way for the rest of my life I suppose .

Chris - Your house must smell so wonderful!! Nice to hear that you must be feeling better as you certainly are getting lots done for your big sale coming up! Wish I lived closer to you, I would come over and buy some of your great faery things!! Hope that the election coverage does not go on and on and on!! We are also sick of hearing about all the nastiness between your two candidates!! I suppose it is a matter of who is the lesser of the two evils, this is one strange election for the U.S.!! I had a nice talk with Heather yesterday, she and Mason are doing fine and she was telling me that they are looking at buying a larger house. They have run out of room with all of Mason's toys etc. They need to expand for sure! I hope it happens for her, it really is a tiny little place that they have. They have made it very nice with lots of renovations and upgrades, but they can't do anything to make it bigger. It has been pretty mild where they have been enjoying some sunny days and trips to the park and to the zoo, where Mason feeds Charlie the Alpaca and whitey the goat. We did get some photos of the seals with our better camera, but I have to get them off the camera and onto the computer to really see how they turned out.

Nancy - Hope your day of training and getting errands done goes well! How dare your son ask what you did all day yesterday!! :mmph: Does he think you sit around eating bon bons all day long?? Even if you did, you worked hard all of your life while he was growing up, you are allowed to do whatever the heck you want to now!! Opps I will :tape: shut up now, before my mouth gets me into trouble LOL. I hope your Devils make a big win for you tonight!! Our Bruins had a great game last night!! DH was very happy!!

Jean - I feel the same when my hubby is home when he should not be LOL. I love my time alone in our house, and when he is around he acts like he is still at work bossing me around like an employee , I have to remind him that I am the Boss here not him :becky:

Rae - We are most likely cross posting again. Strange that you could not get into the site yesterday! I hope that you got it all figured out! Hope that you got all of your mountains of work done for your clients! Like I have said before, I don't know how you do it all and then have time to scrap so many lovely pages too?? Hope that your virus is long gone now and that you get to enjoy your walks once again!!

I am off to swimming this morning, no Skype with DD and Mason today, they are getting Mason registered for Junior Kindergarten today. How the heck did that happen?? Wasn't he just born the other day? :becky: Stop the train I want to get off and make time stand still!! Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. I cringe, thinking about the election today. The only good out of all this has been the amazing skits SNL have been doing about the election, although that is a sad thing to say, since it means the whole election is such a joke. I hope somehow that it all turns out ok.

Last night was a nightmare for me. I have told you how my PC is acting up and its time for a replacement or repair, so editing client sessions has been more work since the computer keeps closing down and getting glitchy. So, if that isn't bad enough, my EHD with over 20,000 photos (including the recent client work) stopped working. I tried swapping out cords but nope, it won't work, just makes a beeping clicking sound. I just paid to have the other EHD copied and replaced and was hundreds of dollars so I cannot afford to spend that again right now. So it will get put aside for now until I decide whether I will eventually pay tons of money to see if it is salvageable. So, then, I try to copy the photos off the memory card onto LR again so I can continue to edit and the card is corrupted so can't get any photos off it. WTH??? So, good news is that I had the session 2/3 done and loaded into the online gallery and then the cake smash and cake cutting was on another card, so the client will only lose a few candids and family shots but unfortunately it included the group shots. I will tell them today that eventually I may recover those raw files from the damaged EHD but I can't do it right now. I told my hubs last night that I am done with my photography biz. It's too expensive and too time consuming for what I get paid. In the future, I am going to take raw and jpeg dual images so that the jpegs can go right into online storage so at least if something happens with the raw files as I work on them, I have a jpeg saved. I was just sick about it all night.

So, I'm not in a great mood today. Am heading out to the doctors in a few minutes (pill renewal) so I'm guessing she won't talk to me about the virus I still have b/c she's a stickler about only one problem per visit.

So, sorry ladies to dump my downer mood on you but like Chris said, coming and chatting with you guys helps to keep my sanity and vent sometimes. Today is one of those times. I know its not the end of the world but it just upsets me to have so many technical issues and disappoint a client. Anyway, off I go to the doctors and I'll try to pop in later today when maybe my mood brightens. I think today is a good day to grab some donuts and have a treat later. I need it. So,if you are still reading....thx for listening and I'm never down for long so I know I'll feel better later.

Hope you are having a better day than me LOL. Bye for now.

Rae - Oh my I am so sorry that you are having such a bad time with all of your tech things!! That really sucks!! Hoe that you can somehow salvage everything on your old EHD. That is why they are only under warranty for around 2 years, they usually won't last any longer than that!! Sending out lots of gentle hugs to you today, hope that you feel better by the time you get back home today

Rae, I am so sorry you are having such a bad time right now! Hope something happens and you can get at those photos.

Nancy, that 23 cent a gallon gas tax sucks! I hope they money goes where it is supposed to go.

Trudy, I am glad you got a good night's sleep. I can't remember the last time I actually slept through the night. I have actually given up on the idea.

Still in the 60s but not sunny now. I just want to hide out today and hope the election is over. But as Chris said, probably not. We get to watch basketball tonight, another Cavs game. Hope Nancy's hockey will be a win.

Hi ladies. Went for my doctor's visit, got my Rx and on the way home grabbed a Tim Horton breakfast sausage muffin and a few donuts. Came home, made a fresh coffee, enjoyed my decadent breakfast and felt a lot better about the world. I know there's no sense in worrying about what I can't change so all I can do is move forward and fix this the best I can. It's not raining out so am heading out with the dogs for a walk and enjoy the fresh air.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.
