The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning everyone! I am going to make this quick, since I fear that my "blerginess" is gonna bleed through the monitor and I would not want anyone to get infected with my cruddy mood. ;)
Nothing really any different than the daily stuff, maybe a bit more emotional.Gary tells me yesterday that he always expected to die before he was 40, so now that he is 42, its all gravy to him. Then caitlyn comes home to tell me she thinks that she is on "the list." A stalker was trying to meet up with one of her freinds through FB. He was arrested in late October, but had names of this girl's friends on a list.
I also get SAD this time of year, and the fibro part of Lyme kicks in, so I am an all over achy and cranky ball of hurt. This was all after trying to shop for a sofa while watching MMG turn all shades of green

See Phyllis-- I am not so amazing, I just hide it well when I am online

Anyway-- I will be around, just trying to get my brain going in the right direction, trying to not stress, and get what i need to do done.

xoxoxo!!

and dnag it, my glasses just broke. I think it is just the screw (screw loose, like me??) but I can't see. Oh, the irony of losing your glasses or contacts and not being able to see well enough to find/fix them hahahahah!!!

Well - if my glasses broke, I can't do anything. My eye sight is so poor, that without glasses I only see a blur of colors. Once, when I was a teenager, I had to stay home from school for a week cuz my glasses broke, and couldn't be fixed. Took a week to get new ones. I learned then to always keep my old pair for safety. Even though they're ugly, and not totally right - at least I can see better than without LOL

Feeling lazy today ... please say I can do NOTHING today all day long?!? ;)

Chris - Good luck getting your glasses fixed.
Eva - Have fun doing nothing!

Me - I had a good day yesterday got all the errands done and my mom is coming over today for pc help and to pick out a few pics that she needs for her wallet.... seems she figured out in the last week that she doesn't have any current pics of the great grandkids in her wallet to show off... so she's coming to the paparazzi for pics. I'm still in my nightie and Mamaw is still asleep so I'm enjoying a little bit of alone time.

Hope you each and everyone have a good Tuesday!

Chris. You should see what I AM off-line!! you made me laugh out loud with the "blerginess" comment. made-up great words are my FAVORITE. i also get sad at this time of year. in fact, i had a good cry yesterday while cleaning my library and listening to Peabo Bryson singing "Born on Christmas Day." i find that, the older i get, the more i wonder what the H&^% is going on and why. especially with my kids. my advice is to enjoy them while they're small.

well. how cheery. :tape2: anyway, more cleaning and attempted sorting out today. i am DETERMINED to take a trunkfull to Goodwill this afternoon. i can't seem to decide what needs to go. i keep moving stuf around and not actually getting RID of anything!!

have a Happy Tuesday, everyone!

phylis

Awwww Chris sorry you are in a "blerginess" kind of mood, looks like must of us are. Yesterday was one for me, I hid it well at work, but came home and had a good cry....not sure what the heck is going on with me.....

I don't know what I would do without my glasses, Eva, really, you got to miss school...sweeeeet!

I hear you Phylis, what is it with our kids that they get supidier (made that word up) as they get older.

Well you all have a great day and keep warm.

Frani, maybe we need to institute an "International Have a Good Cry Day."

:hurt:

it should absolutely be during the Holidays....

Oh My Goodness Ladies.... what is going on with all the sadness?? You are making me sad now too!! I think it must be the weather?? Well we will blame it on that. Perhaps we all need to get together and get drunk and solve all the worlds problems!! Does that sound like a good idea?? Ok lets Party!!

Chris - I wish I could come to your house and we could have a nice cup of coffee with Baileys in it and you could cry on my shoulder  I hope that your day goes better and that you get out of your blergy funk!!

Eva - I would love to join you on your day of nothingness!! Enjoy!!

Phylis - Go through your stuff and if you haven't used it in more than a year, then chuck it !! You will feel much better once you have purged all your stuff, its only stuff. Come and join Chris and I for Baileys and coffee LOL

Fran - You can join us too!! Oh my what a bunch we would be!! Hope you have a better day also!

Debbie - We could use some of your cheerfulness in this group! Enjoy your time alone in your jammies!!

Off to work today, normally Tuesday is my day off, but my friend that I work with is in Hawaii this week and so I am putting in extra hours to help her out. Please feel better everyone!!

Dare I come in today?!?!

Y'all have my sympathy - and sunlight of the spirit for you. If your moods don't lighten, take five minutes and hold your ring finger with the other hand. Preferably the ring finger of the right hand. That's the one connected with sadness. Funny how it's also the one connected to love! That's JinShinJyutsu energy work in case you wonder if I'm off my nut. Right side of the body is current 'stuff' mostly how we screw ourselves us with attitude. (I hate that! I'd prefer to blame someone...bad Maureen.) Left side of the body is genetic stuff and stuff from the past.

Chris - I truly cannot imagine what your life is like with all of you not being well. Hugs for your blergy times. I got a prescription yesterday, and listened to the clerk try to explain to one woman how her health plan WAS paying for part of the prescription. Her share was down to $300 sumthin. What is wrong with this picture!?!?!?

Eva, my MIL used to jokingly say...At least you know you're not pregnant. She remembered the days before birth control!

Phylis, I'd offer you one of my last pieces of poppyseed roll but know you don't like it. Did you ever get one of those SAD lamps? I'm interested in hearing people's opinion on brands since I am pretty sure my Thai daughter could use one. She could use a lot! like a whopping dose of common sense but I haven't seen that for sale even on Black Friday. kwim?

Papparazzi Debbie, good to hear you got a good errand day. I have a list of stuff I need to do before a Christmas Cruise next week, and it really feels good to check stuff off.

I am minimizing the amount of Christmas decorating I'm doing for that reason, but got the Christmas dishes out yesterday. Maybe tomorrow I'll take the final bits of Fall stuff down, and up to the attic. The bad part is that the attic is also Dick's office and getting past his stuff to get into the crawl space is ...Not Fun.

Oh well...it was so warm this am - 70 w/o the heat plus humid from the night rain, I decided to stay home and do a Kathy ? video. The walking woman. Easier than dressing up for the gym. 1.5 miles and yes, I was sweating a lot. I hate, hate, hate to sweat but what can you do. The cold front has finally come in and that's making me happier.

Back to my to-do list!

Extra huge warm hugs to all of you on this bleary day!
Sitting here with a cuppa and reading everyone's life I realise I don't have much to complain about.
Dealing with chronic pain is an issue that I can mostly deal with. It's when it flares up that's a bummer.

As to kids? Well my daughter here in Canada has been in and out of treatment for drugs for the past five years. I have come to realise that I can do nothing to help except love her and pray.
She has left her husband and two children. Luckily he's a wonderful father and provides for them and has made the children his mission in life.
I dont get to see them very often. Two sweet children who deserve a mother!
Why? Why did my daughter travel this path?

So, I have my bawling days too.

And my dear little Fritzie (mini dachshund) has been sick. He's now on antibiotics and anti inflammatory Meds (which are just as expensive as your Meds, Maureen.

I made the mistake on Sunday which was his worst day and watched the film Marley and Me. DO NOT watch this film if you have a sick pet!

Sorry to blabber once I get started.....
Positive things: my niece is coming over this aft. to do my hair and this evening my great-niece is bringing her wedding photos. As a wedding present I offered to do an album for her.

And Fritzie seems a bit better today.

I'm not going to even mention DH!

Lotsa hugs all.

a sweet scrapper who used to be around the scrapping world named Hanni made a lovely paper page a long time ago that said:

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

ain't it the truth. and it sounds so much nicer than "Misery loves company."

we're Amazons, ladies. we can survive it all! although it IS easier when the
sun is shining.

Jacqueline, my heart goes out to you. You are right, pray and love the person, not the behavior. Hugs, hugs, hugs.

I've seen many many 'hopeless' addicts get clean and stay clean for 25+ years. As someone once told me, "Where there's life, there's hope." Easy to write, but hard to believe at times. I know.

Dick had a meeting this am, then a dental appnt but wasn't back by noon. No big deal but then he called me about 2pm to say he had tightness in his chest this am, so he had made a Dr.'s appointment, and was now going for a chest x-ray. He and the Dr. think it might be lungs rather than heart but get this... MEN!!! :mmph:

When he went to the Dr.s office, on the 6th floor, he decided to walk up at a brisk speed to see if the tightness would come back!! I said "What if you had dropped dead in the stairwell?????" "Well, the problem would be over then...." Little Mr. Problem Solver wanted to have a better description of the tightness before he went in... God help me, they sometimes have no common sense do they?:frusty:

my eyes are the same way i'd be lost...literally...without my glasses haha my vision is like 600/20

Well ladies this morning went by quickly and i come back here to see that you have all survived the day.
"J" I can't imagine what you are going through, but Maureen is right all we can do is love the person, not the behavior, you are so wise Maureen!! I whine and cry about the things my daughter has been through with being so sick, I forget that everyone else has a story to tell too!! I love all of you strong beautiful ladies!! You never know how strong you can be until you have to be strong!!

Well, ladies, it appears Dick has a bit of pneumonia. He's on his way to get an antibiotic tonight but is still scheduled with the cardiologist tomorrow. The funny thing is the cardiologist is our friend...and his standard advice is Lose Weight and Exercise! Imagine that!! I think Dick would be as about inclined to follow that advice as I usually am.
