If yesterday was yucky spring-like weather, today we are back to summer. My head is spinning from this crazy weather. I was happy that it is didn't rain yesterday, it was just cloudy and cool.

I worked in my bedroom yesterday, got up on the ladder and cleaned a couple of years of dust and dog hair from the top of the ceiling fan blades. ICK. BFFATS texted to see if I wanted to walk down to the end of the street to see her son in the Memorial Day Parade. It ends at the American Legion post at the end of the street so we walked to that. My town's HS Marching Band has won national awards, especially for its bagpipers, and I hadn't seen him marching yet so that was cool. He is taller than me now. Seems like yesterday that he was born. Time sure flies.

I am mostly ready for food shopping and Gary and I will have a quiet dinner, just the two of us tonight. He made me this awesome shelf for my office. He upcycled an old wooden dresser drawer into a shell for me to put my faery collectibles on. He is so creative. My "gift" to him (if I can ever finish it!) is a photo/layout of the last 25 years together. I have a photo of out wedding and had been searching for pics of the tow of us every year since then. I really have so few of them that I ended up having to fill in those years with a photo of something special, like Scott's graduation, Cait's prom etc. I told him that if he wants his gift done by tonight, he needs to stop popping in and out of my office area :pound:

That is all I have for now. I feel like I have so much to do today and I am pretty worn out and it is only 7.30 am

Have a fab day!!!

I have no idea what my post showed up twice yesterday. Bizzare.

Nancy- Great news that the rain stopped in time for the BBQ even if it was cold. Your son is awesome for giving you his coat. haha!! That is great that you played flip-cup with the "kids."

I can't wait to hear your run-down of the game last night. Hope that the Knights kicked butt. We had a tiny bit of sun last night after dinner but it is cloudy again today.

Trudy- That sounds like a perfect evening, dinner with the grands and a nice heart to heart with DS. Yes, busy weekend but filled with love, I would say. Are you counting the hours until you see them again?
Happy that your printer is working again. I will never understand tech- my computer shut down yesterday b/c of the battery backup being kooky. It reset PS to all default settings and I lost my Custom Workspace. Really odd.

Happy birthday to Jonah!

Rae- I can only imagine how exhausted you are with work and family things. I hope that you were able to get some rest at the end of the day yesterday. And really What is up with everyone tech?? Were you able to get the Wacom working?
My library uses overdrive too. Don't think I have used it for e-books, but I use it and hoopla for audiobooks. Hope that you can transition easily to it.
I hope that the staff at the hospital will stay on their toes about B wanting to run at times. Hopefully, the memory issues will continue to improve.

Jean- I would gladly trade weather with you. Gary would not be happy though. He is always too hot and I am always too cold. Must be a relief that things are working themselves out with the funeral arrangements.

As for the barking dogs, I am not sure if it was the bear again, or just the family of chipmunks that have been making them batty. We had a lot of fireworks over the weekend and they weren't too happy about that.

Felis- My days are so boring and all I do is complain about, so no worries about me not understanding when you feel like your life is boring. Thanks for the support of Floyd and Whisky. I feel worse for Floyd because I know there won't be any "getting better." W on the other hand, is so darn smart that I think she just needs a lot of time and she will get there.

Gosh, I am running so late. xoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!!!

good morning! It is mostly sunny and supposed to be hot today. I am waiting. LOL. Hockey is back and it was an exciting game. The Golden Knights defeated the Caps 6-4 with several lead changes. My son is hoping Alex Ovechkin wins a cup and me I am cheering for the Golden Knights. The refs missed two penalties, one that led to a goal and one that I thought was a late dirty hit. It was a crack up because my son was mad about the goal and I was mad at the dirty hit. But we yelled nicely - it was fun! Now I have to wait for Wed for game two. So now the French Open is on in the mornings so I am enjoying that. And I got a lot of scrapping done so that really makes me happy.

Chris the weather is so so wacky. I cannot believe how cold I was Sunday and Monday we had a cloudy but in the 70s so a nice walk with Luther. Good luck shopping. Have a lovely dinner with you Gary. Love the gifts and how thoughtful each of you are for the other.

Trudy what a fun and busy weekend. And I too cant believe how fast time goes. I love that the granddaughter likes to paint too. Good luck on finding an apt. in Toronto. Seems like there will be a lot for the kids to see and learn in that city. I am sure you will have fun with the kids while the parents hunt. You will get to walk Stormy!

Rae so glad that the neuro award is calmer for B. You are great at being organized! Continued good wishes for B gaining memory and not leaving the ward!

Jean I guess we are getting your heat today. Sounds like Alberto is bringing lots of rain they said north to the Great Lakes. Hope it misses you!

Felis I am so glad you are liking Riverdale. I am also totally impressed by your English. I can imagine that it would tire a brain to constantly have to think of the words. I agree after a hot day to have the cool night air come in and hear the night sounds is a wonderful way to go to sleep!

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone, another sunny morning, but it is much cooler. Yesterday I had to water all the plants in the backyard, I could not believe how dry it was back there already! We were supposed to have rain today, but I guess that forecast is going to be wrong, there is hardly a cloud in the sky! I did manage to start a scrap page and I am feeling pretty good about it. I hope to get it finished off this morning and get it posted soon. I think that while I am at my son's for a few days I am going to try to get my hiking photo book finished off, so I guess I will have to take my little EHD with me to do that. Also need to get hold of an old girlfriend and see if she wants to get together for a coffee one of the days that I am there. I might not get to see her again for a very long time, once the kids move away there won't be much reason for me to go to there. Anyway... I hope to get my laps in this morning and then I am off to the hairdresser this afternoon. I really need a haircut and colour! Heather sent me the cutest photo of Hunter in the tub the other day, so I would like to get a scrap page done for that too! Lets see if it all happens or not LOL.

Chris - That was weird that your post showed up twice yesterday! Usually if there is a double post it won't let you do that. :noidea: Such a thoughtful gift from your Gary! You will proudly display all your treasures on it! I hope that he leaves you alone long enough to get your gift to him done too! LOL A nice quiet evening and dinner for just the two of you, should be relaxing as you won't have to think about what to feed everyone and just have something that you both like to eat! Hopefully your trip to the grocery store goes smoothly and quickly!

Rae - I hope you can get your tablet to work for you again. I got a new one a while back, but I really miss my old one! I am still trying to figure out how to set everything up the way I want it LOL. Glad that you are able to sit and watch movies with B! Any kind of brain stimulation is good and better than just sitting and staring at the four walls! Seems all of your spare time is spent prepping meals, but that is a good thing at least you don't have to think about cooking after a long exhausting day! I am happy to hear that B is starting to get a bit of memory back, hopefully it is a good sign that it will fully return to her soon!

Jean - I think you are right about me not be able to get back into my regular rhythm of things and once I actually sat down at the computer and started my page it seemed to come together pretty quickly! Happy to hear that things are finally settling into place with the SIL and all the arrangements! Hoping your weather is better for you today also!

Felis - Sounds like you were very sleepy by the end of your post yesterday! I hope that you had a wonderful sleep and that your day today was filled with sunshine and something that you enjoyed to do! I had a wonderful sleep last night, first good sleep in a long time, I guess it has all caught up to me, I never woke up once during the whole night and slept until 7am I feel so much better today!

Ok I am waiting for a facetime call from DD and Hunter. I also have to pledge some money for Mason who is fund raising for the Jump Rope for Heart. Hope he does well! Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Hot again today. Yesterday the official high was a new record 93. Yuck. Am so looking forward to Saturday when the high will only be in the 70s. There will also be lots of chance for rain all week. I was also cheering for the Knights, but didn't like the penalty not called instead of their goal 4. Thursday we'll be back to the 4th straight NBA championship of the Cavs vs Warriors. That is getting old! Never thought the Cavs would make it back this year, so who knows in the finals.

Felis, I can't imagine having to write all that in another language while you're tired. You do so well. As to enjoying cool evening air, when it is hot here it is usually humid and doesn't cool off that well at night either and the house retains the daytime heat. Hope your day was nice.

Chris, hope you got the gift of photos done without more interference. It will be such a wonderful memory keeper. The shelf sounds lovely too. Know you two will enjoy dinner alone.

Nancy, French Open is turning out pretty interesting but I haven't watched any yet. June 14 will be the start of soccer World Cup and also golf's US Open. Fun times coming after hockey and basketball. In baseball the Indians are doing some good, but still haven't really taken off. If you're watching the Yankees, good luck against the Astros. Must make it fun for you and DS to be for different teams in the Finals.

Trudy, glad you got into scrapping a bit. That photo of Hunter is sure to inspire too. Hope you really get time for it while with the grands. And get to see your friend. I haven't been to Toronto in decades, but it is an exciting city but with beautiful areas nearby. Hope they find a great space.

Rae, hope you got all that Monday work finished and got some rest.

:hello:, my dears! We have some problems with the internet connection (it's come and gone every minutes), so I'll have to catch up all later. But at least both days (Tuesday and Wednesday) are sunny and perfect to be outside, so I have lot to do. :pupkiss:
Have a lovely sunny day you all!
