Good morning, lOvelies! After having two really warm days in a row, it is much cooler this morning and my nose and fingers are chilly.

Yesterday was perfect weather to be outside. Sunny but not too humid. Gary and I worked our butts off. We went to the garden center and bought some tomatoes, serrano peppers, zucchini, eggplant, lavender, and some flowers to put in a hanging basket. They gave us Scott's employee discount which was nice. Very nice! Gary mowed the lawn and then went to work in the basement. he had brought home metal shelving from his uncle's house and is going to work on organizing the basement a bit. Thank goodness, it was a nightmare and not only because he has Halloween props all over it. :wickedwitch
I dug up all of the cilantro from the small raised bed and moved them to a big pot so I could plant the veggies in there. I got a lot more of the patio cleaned and it is starting to look more like a patio instead of a garbage pile. The hanging basket looks pretty and adds a bit of much-needed color. I worked outside until almost 4 pm. I was head to toe dirt and all of my muscles ached but I was in heaven!
I still want to find cucumber plants. The garden center was all out of them. Between my ankle and the crummy weather, I am a few weeks behind the season.

Today, I am going to try to work inside. I have been so busy with big projects-- the table, steam cleaning, yard work- that all of the normal day to day stuff has been neglected. I have a list of To-Dos so hopefully, I won't "forget" (Read: ignore) them.

Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

Kay- it is crazy how those storms can come out of nowhere, glad you shut everything down in time. That stinks that you lost your rhythm of scanning. I am assuming that you are like me, once you get into that groove, it all flows better.
How was the family dinner? Scott and Gary are good cooks when they want to be. Gary follows a recipe to a T which drives me batty on occasion. Scott is more of a free flow cook like me. But any night that I don't have to cook is a good night for me.
Our patio is really small so I wouldn't be able to use the storage benches, but I have seen them and they are a smart idea.
I will never understand how and why hoses kink up like that, no matter how you roll and store them. SMH!

Nancy- you must always be so proud of your son. I am chuckling at how the rain didn't stop the kids with their water balloons. 2000 miles! That is one heck of a trip! You made it home in perfect time for the Cup!
That is the same cruise that Cait was on! It is so strange because your son's MIL is now the third other person that I heard about who was that delayed cruise. My niece's BFF/roomie, Brendan's mom was at a grocery store and met someone who had that delay and then bumped into him on the cruise, and now the MIL. Small world... That is an even crazier story about the husband and wife who had the heart attacks. I hope that they were both OK.

Jean- I am sorry that you have had crummy weather-- I hope that you aren't near the tornadoes in OH this morning. That sounds like so much fun - getting messy Gelli painting. My MIL likes to play around with that. Good for you for doing the summer session!!

Trudy- you are amazing twice over!!! Congrats on the painting sales!!! :cheer2:
I am so thrilled-- and she wants more paintings... I am just so stoked for you! So fantastic to be able to do something creative and enjoyable and to make some $ too.

Karen-my BFF has a small fluffy dog and it cracks me up when she gets a hair cut too. I am sure it makes him much happier to be cooler. Ugh about the freezer and the repair bills to come. I understand the frustration of appliance breakdowns all too well.
Congrats on being on the GSO Blog!!! That is a big deal and you should toot your own horn.

Felis-- sending you big hugs and hopes that things work out the way you want at some point. I am sorry that things are difficult.
Yes, the weather is finally getting nicer here. Hope it stays nicer for you too.

BTW- I am so happy that the gang in all here! I was getting lonely and I missed you all :p

good morning - Well the weather has turned - today is on and off rain. I saw the Grand Canyon had snow and that is a record for the latest snow fall. WOW. I have to grocery shop yuck. Yesterday was a nice day. Luther got out for a long walk. My DH grilled. And I started scrapping our trip to Florida. And of course it was the first game of the Cup final. Boston Bruins look really good and won the first game 4-2. Today is more scrapping and since hockey is every other day I have to find a new show to watch.

Chris it seems you had a perfect day playing in the dirt and it was warm. It was one of the most awesome days in NJ this year. Sounds like you are going to have a plethora of fresh food! And a nice patio to enjoy outdoor time.

Kay I think we may be getting your storm today and tomorrow. Showers on and off and thunderstorms come the evenings both days. I love scanning old photos they bring back such fun memories. Hope you get your scanning mode back on!

Trudy so happy that people are loving the paintings and buying them. You are fantastic. Congrats to the Bruins. They looked rusty to begin but they found their rhythm fast. It was a really strong game by them.

Jean we are feeling you crummy weather. That weather in Dayton was crazy and scary. Sounds like no deaths thanks goodness and all stuff can be rebuilt. How fun that there is a summer class to continue! You are awesome too!

Karen so sorry about the water leak. My DH refuses to get a frig with ice maker or water dispenser as he knows they will leak. But now if ours breaks I doubt we can find a retro frig. Hope the fix is not too expensive.

Felis ditto to what Chris said. Hope that things make a change for the better.

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies... I am late getting in here again today (what else is new??) I have been facetiming with Heather and Hunter, they are the sunshine in my mornings! Hunter is so cute, he loves to sit with me and we sing and dance and read stories, but when he has had enough, he just turns me off LOL. Well at least it gives his Mommy a bit of time to do something else, or to make their lunch. I am so looking forward to having everyone home this summer! The kids in the neighbourhood are all asking when Mason will be visiting again, how nice is that! Well I went to take my paintings to the gallery yesterday, but they are closed on Sunday and Monday who knew LOL. Guess I should have phoned before I left, so now I have to go back again today. First off to the pool though, I have been bad for not going on Thursday or Friday, so I better get my lazy butt there today!

Chris - You had a very busy day yesterday! So unlike you to try to get everything done all in one day LOL. It will be so nice to have your patio all spruced up with new plants and i hope that you get to plant your cucumbers soon too! Nice that you got Scott's employee discount! Every little bit helps for sure! I guess if your weather is cooler today, then it will be a good day to stay inside and catch up on other things! I hope that you are not feeling to stiff and sore from your hard work yesterday!

Nancy - Woo Hoo for our Bruins!! They did look a tad rusty at first, but they found their rhythm again and they looked great!! Not expecting them to win every game, but it would be nice!! Well except for the fact that Hockey would then be all over :mmph: So the Grand Canyon had snow?? Yikes what is up with all the crazy weather?? Heather says it is stormy there again today, when will summer ever arrive and stay?? Thanks for the nice compliment on my painting sales, hopefully it will continue!

Felis - Oh my I am so sorry that you are feeling so down in the dumps!! Yes the world is a very strange place, but I hope you will not let it consume you!! Sending lots of positive vibes your way! Thank you also for the encouragement with my paintings !

Karen - Yikes that is a lot of $$ just for someone to come and tell you that yup your fridge is leaking!! Hope you don't need to replace it!

Alright, I need to pack my swim bag and get to the pool! Have a great day everyone!

Don't know what weather will be today, the sky even looked a bit green when I came home from having blood tests, so put the car back in the garage. But we did not get the severe weather that stayed further south yesterday. No special plans today, but have to finish a genealogy article I promised for one of our publications and the editor is ready for it.

Chris, that sounds like quite a day outside yesterday. Bet it was so satisfying but hope you aren't feeling it today. The garden and patio must already be looking good, at least not like winter any more.

Nancy, I saw the beginning of your new trip pages and they are looking so nice and tropical. What a wonderful time it must have been. And back just in time for the Stanley Cup finals!

Trudy, I am so impressed with your gallery success! Selling not one, but two paintings there is fabulous. We knew they were beautiful, but actually selling is another story. Congrats on the Bruins last night.

Felis, I join the others in trying to send you some positive vibes. Sure hope you get to feeling better. I like what you did with the white space challenge and and would like to think you'll embrace the thought on the shirt in that photo!

Have a good one, everybody!
