The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Happy Tuesday ladies! Hope that everyone is going great so far today. Gary can't complain about the temps yesterday and today. Woah, it is cold. Yesterday we made it to about 60* which was very different from the day before where we got almost to 90*
It worked out well here, no one could complain that they were too hot since every one of us was cleaning our own areas of the house like mad. I joked to Caitlyn that she has to invite new boyfriends over more often. Gary spent most of the day in the upstairs TV room that he had taken over and had junk shoved everywhere. About time! My big project was scrubbing the dogs' noseprints off the front window. That is harder than you would think.

I feel like my brain doesn't want to work at all right now, I am sitting and staring at the screen in a fog. I need more coffee I think.
Plans for today- last minutes cleaning up the kitchen. I scrubbed the stove, then I stupidly asked Gary if he wanted bacon with his eggs for dinner so that is a mess again. Gary suggested we take the dogs for a walk since it won't be too hot. I am not sure how far I will be able to go but I bet it will be farther than J who decides she is done (capital D Done) when she gets to my next-door neighbor's mailbox.

Hugs to everyone!

@tanteva That is the right attitude to have-- say what is important to you and to Annica and not worry about what others will think. Do you know her son well?
Thanks for the video, one more question, if it is a short U is the R sort of silent? I am trying to figure out how you would combine them. Maybe it doesn't translate into "American speech" that well. Funnily enough, I started reading a book last night by an Icelandic author. There is a pronunciation key and I was struggling with that too. Is Swedish close to that at all, similar to how Italian and Spanish are related?
I don't even want to know how badly I am mispronouncing your name. Let me just say it in English LOL!!!!

@nancyr Yikes, that must have been a scare to see the window screen missing and not be able to find your kitty. That was super clever to use Luther to find her. Poor Shadow, upstairs is *her* territory :p
You had a fun weekend and time at the restaurant. How much longer will you have hockey?

@Cherylndesigns Soooooo-- are you connecting to us with wifi????? *fingers and toes and eyes crossed for ya!*
Ex-SIL would be a good person for us to have in our family *G* It always amazes me how Cait's vet can do surgery on the rats. One time he was explaining how Liv's tumor was located right next to an artery in her arm and all I could think was how her arm is the size of a few matchsticks.
I can't even begin to imagine what DD's house would look like.

Kay- the plum tree is beautiful, be *careful* with the potting soil/planting. Don't hurt your back!

Eva- what a great page, so you let it stew for a night... or so... :D

Kay again- I'd better not read that you hurt your back...

Wow, you were busy and got so much done. I am impressed with that as well as your decision to not worry about how long it all takes to complete. Did you take any before and after photos? or Before and During? Don't push yourself today!!

xoxo

No, the R is not silent. (If you say it like that, you would almost be saying U-bahn - which is the subway in Berlin, Germany :D)

Icelandic is nothing like Swedish. I guess it sounds like we used to speak in Sweden, Norway and Denmark ages ago. Icelandic is like our very distant cousin. I think Norwegian is easy to understand, but apperently Swedish is closer to Danish --- which is completely incomprehensible. LOL

@Cherylndesigns probably forgot to fasten the seat belt and blow off her computer chair by the SPEEEEEED of her wi-fi. It will take er a while to get back up. :D

I've done a bit scrapping today, but I'm letting the layouts stew for a bit. I'm not getting them any good today. Think I'm a bit stressed over working tomorrow. It's almost 5 months since I were there, I'm sure I've forgotten lots. Plus they usually had changed something every week when I last was there ... can't imagine how much have changed in 5 months. LOL

Thinking of going in early to Mora tomorrow. I don't start until 12, but URBAN starts at 9.30. If I go with him, I could go to a café and have breakfast. Haven't gone to a café for months and months. Even though everything's been open all the time here in Sweden, I've been a good girl and stayed home.

Did manage to formulate something decent for the digital wake site. Won't be able to go to the funeral, it's only for family now because of corona. I could attend digitally, but that seems weird. I don't know her son well. Wish I did, so much I would like to tell him. I'm sure his last few years have been hellish.

Chris, I am happy to report that my back is not giving me problems after the work I did in the backyard yesterday. Taking the Aleve helped a lot. And yes, I am taking a few before and after photos. Didn't get out there until after 9:00 this morning as the pest guy came just before 8. Wanted to let him get the spraying done and time for it to settle before heading out there to work. The good news is that it only took a few pushes on the dead cherry tree trunk at different angles for it to pop free! So glad to have that eye-sore gone. Still need to cut it and the other dead branches into smaller pieces so it can fit into the garbage can - but that can wait until I feel like dealing with them. Decided to not try to separate the two plants as I am sure it will be even more challenging to try to dig just the one plant out without damaging the other one.

I spent a couple of hours working on extending drip lines to the pots by the patio. I am pleased with the arrangement after trying out a couple of different ones. I need more potting soil as I don't have enough to fill them all. Also need to work on setting up rocks in the bottom of the pots for drainage before add the potting soil. Once all that done, I will be planting the DayLilly bulbs. But that will have to wait a couple of days and give my back a rest.

Have to drop off the library books and also mail some bills today. Not sure if I want to do any other errands while I am out. The bod is telling me it is tired!!!

Eva, glad you were able to come up with words for your friend's wake site. Good luck on going into to work. Going early and eating breakfast out sounds so nice.

Cheryl.... is your WiFi up and working yet??? Hoping it all went okay.

OMGOODNESS!!!!! The cable company is HERE!!! They're IN our house as I type this! We're going to have wifi/TV by the end of the day! All three of our houses are getting it today!! This is a big day on The Ranch!! Turning cartwheels here!! The cable boss just rang our doorbell and said that all 3 houses were getting it TODAY! The "big house" as we lovingly call DD and SIL's house had an order for 6 TV's + highspeed internet! Ava's only getting highspeed internet. She doesn't care much about TV, so she's going to continue using Roku and not spend the extra money for TV. I told them "I want it all!! We have 3 TV's here. LOL We're the only ones at home, so the boss just went over all of the orders with us.

Thank you ALL for letting me share my hotspot woes and "my office" woes all these months! You helped me keep a sense of humor through the whole process. I love you guys!! (hearts and hugs emojis here).

@faerywings Chris, it was great to have a vet in the family. Not as good as a doctor or lawyer, but good. He used to come over to our house and treat our big dogs. He did surgery on the lab we had, but had to take him in there for that. I hated to lose him. Yes, I can't even imagine doing surgery on a tiny rat. Those guys/gals know as much about the human body, too. I think they study a lot of the same things, anatomically.

Kay @BrightEyes sounds like you're working in your yard about as much as we have been. We got all those plants Saturday and they're still not in the ground. Now it's raining so hard that I don't know when we will. I need "helpers" to dig the holes, though. DD's been digging them, but they're leaving for 4 days. Ava works all day, so I hate to tap her and Braden is super busy and Alyssa works not. Help!!! I can do everything else, but I have trouble digging holes deep enough for shrubs. We also got a tree, so there's a bigger hole. Filling the pots was fun though and I don't need any help with those.

Eva @tanteva sounds like you've been busy. I like to let some of my layouts "stew" too. Often, overnight so I can look at them with fresh eyes. I almost always end up moving things around.

You all continue to keep your fingers and toes crossed. I just HOPE they don't run into any unforseen problems. They're having some issues finding where the electrical lines were "dropped" when they built this house. That's scary. I want this IN TODAY!!!

Hugs and waving to all.
