:flypig: *inserting wailing and gnashing of teeth to the question of how does time fly* :flypig:

Scott is 23 today. Twenty-freaking-three. It is bonkers. I know that many of you have kids and grandkids older than that. Does time ever slow down a tiny bit? My bet is on "No."
He got good news yesterday. He passed Chem 2 with a D+. That is all he needed, just to pass. Now he is on to Environmental Chem but that is supposed to be easier so we will have to see. It means that he is back on track to graduate next spring, along with Caitlyn. *more wailing and gnashing of teeth*
Yesterday marked the first day since she was 5 yo that I didn't talk or text with Caitlyn at all. It was weird. I was very busy with the table/chairs. I got everything sanded as smooth as I possibly could. First coat of stain is down on the chairs. They are all spindled and that took forever. Trudy- I don't know how you did all of the spindles on your railings without wanting to stab a spindle in your eye.

I am off to food shop this morning then back to work on the table. Scott doesn't want anything big for his birthday tonight, he wants to wait until the weekend when Cait and Leah are around which works out well for me.

Has anyone seen Nancy? I feel like she hasn't posted in a while. But I do think she has posted LOs over the weekend. Hope she is good, just busy.

Trudy- sorry to hear that you had a rainy Monday. We had rain in the afternoon and overnight and it dropped our temps a lot. The heat kicked on this morning, I guess we forgot to turn it off after last week's freezing cold. I turned that off and closed the windows.
I wish that you have a rainy June, but only at night:)
That is fantastic that your Gary is going to make the cradles for you. yay!!!!
It is sad about the smilies. I miss them too.
Yikes, that is crazy about the woman embezzler- and for you be working at the bank at that point.

Felis- sorry to hear that it is raining so much but yes, it was good to get the yardwork done over the weekend.
I don't know who Alain Delon is but I do know that it is hard for me to separate the actor/artist professional from the personal. I try to be aware of it but it often does cloud my perspective.
I never got to check on how my nephew did at school yesterday. I will ask my brother this morning. I hope that it was all fine- and that your three days saying is correct!

Kay- hoping that wind died down and didn't cause any more trouble for you.

Popping in early today. Hoping my 1st cup of coffee will help my brain to wake up. Wow... yesterday was wild! The wind kept howling until sometime late last night. Temp had dropped to 64.. then at 2 PM it went from 64 down to 40 in about 15 minutes!!! The cold front arrived and it was down into the 30's last night. We have snow on the mountain. Brrrrrr! Guess it is another day for wearing a sweat shirt. It rained off and on so think I can skip watering the new/transplanted trees today. Suppose to have high winds again today. Can't believe this weather for the end of May!!!

DD#1 called yesterday to see if I could pickup the great-grands from school on Wednesday and keep them for the afternoon. It is the last day of school and she has an all-day sewing class.

Turns out that DD#3 went to look at the house near us but it needs too much work. So they are still looking. That gives them more time to finish up the work on their house then put it on the market.

Yesterday I finally made my Eggplant-Zucchini casserole. Had to get it done before the zucchini or eggplant went bad. It was so good... nice and warm. Have 3 servings in the freezer and another serving in the fridge for tomorrow.

Chris, glad you got the table and chairs sanded down. Yikes on the spindles on the chairs... those take so much time. I am sure it will be lovely when you finish them. Had to LOL over you feeling that time is flying by too quickly. It can seem that way but it also seems to drag by. Glad that Scott passed his Chem class.

Hope that Nancy is okay. Miss seeing her posting lately.

Morning everyone... the rain has stopped and we had a full day of it yesterday, so the garden and lawns are all very happy! Mostly cloudy day today I think and then the sun is coming out again for us on our Hike day. Tomorrow's hike is a new one out near Victoria, so I will be able to hit the Michaels Craft Store afterward and pick up some paints! Hooray!! DH go two cradle wood canvases done for me yesterday, they look awesome and I am so happy! It's the small things LOL!! Today I am expecting a face time call not only from Heather and Hunter, but another one from an old friend that I have not talked to for ages. She is the one who really got me into painting and we used to paint things together all the time. I have known her since the kids were just babies, her DH was also R.C.M.P. and we were posted together for many years. She is such a sweetie and I miss her very much. So it will be great to catch up with her again. It's always like we have never been apart when we do talk to each other. Then I have to get back to Windsor Plywood and pick up a few more boards so DH can finish off the panels he was working on. We ran out of the side boards, we did not calculate that very well LOL. I also need a few more clamps and gesso, so I will be busy running around getting all that. I only managed to get the rest of my laundry and bathrooms done yesterday. The work on the saw never happened. Good thing BIL is a patient man!! LOL.

Chris - :HapBirth: to Scott!! Don't feel too bad, my son turned 40 last year!!! Yikes!! I like your wish for me to have a rainy June, but only at night!! That would be awesome! Yes good thing that the lady embezzler did not work at the same bank as I did LOL. That would have been really bad!!! Oh and so happy too for Scott to have passed his Chem final! WTG Scott!! Hopefully this next semester is easier for him! Sounds like you had a pretty productive day yesterday and got lots done on the table and chairs! Yes I never want to paint another spindle in my life LOL.

Felis - Oh my sounds like your online experience was not very good! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as long as it does not hurt anyone else's feelings right? Here is a link to the Keto/Paleo ice cream if you are at all interested in trying to make it. https://www.gnom-gnom.com/no-churn-keto-chocolate-ice-cream/ Mine turned out great and tasted so good!! Makes enough to have dessert for many nights so that is even better! Even my Gary liked it! Hope your rain has stopped and you are able to get out for a nicer walk today!

Kay - Yikes you have gone from summer to winter in a matter of hours!! Brrrr!! Not fair to have snow on the mountain again!! Have a lovely time with your grands after they get out of school today! Too bad the house down the street needed too much work, it would have been so nice to have your DD so close! I also am worried about Nancy and miss seeing her here! Perhaps she is on a little trip or visiting her sister??

Ok off to the shower before the facetime chats I am having today. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Hey ladies....good morning. Just missed you all and thought I'd come to say hi.

I'm doing lots of scrapping, have been out taking photos more and we just opened up the trailer this past wkend. B is in a care home for a number of months until they figure out where her forever home will be. It's across the street from the ocean and is a wonderful location. We can't take Taz there as dogs are prohibited from mid May to mid Sept but about a five minute drive further down, there is a huge dog park and the ocean is available for the dogs. We had so much fun watching Taz and all the dogs run and play in the ocean. Can't wait to go back this Sunday.

I feel like life is settling down a bit, at least for right now, so its still busy, managing work, home life and visiting with B every week but it's become a more stable slightly slower pace so I'm happy for that. Not being on any store CT's makes a big difference in my schedule and stress. I needed that break. Scrapping just for myself has been so much fun.

Chris - happy B-day to Scott.
Trudy - sounds like you're having fun, all your hikes and your painting.
Kay - our temps are still up and down right now too. Today its chilly and I'm back in a flannel shirt and jeans.

I'm getting back to work now. I've maintained my schedule of being online less and being more focused on my work and other things. So, things are good with me and hope all is well with everyone too.

Hello girls,
it's a boring day here, but really nice one. I finally was able to spend time with my dogs enjoying to the wind kissing my face and playing with my hair. It's much colder than weekend was, but the idea is same just with sweater instead the top. This week we are only me and my mom. So we even wasn't realize that is coming time for dinner. Actually my sister send me photo how eat pizza and we was like: "OMG we have to cook ourselves" .
Oh by the way before few days you was commenting about all this trash at ocean and Chris mentioned one video. I was too overwhelmed with my thoughts then, and forgot to tell you that I know this organisation too, or at least similar to it. Did this is video was about you was talking about?!

Chris, Happy birthday to, Scott! Wish him this to be very successful year and dreams easy to come true! Congrats for the exam and for the spring graduation! Do you plan layout with before and after with the table&chairs?

Kay, wow, so fast temperature drop must be very stressful! Hope your plants will survive! Afternoon with your grandkids must be very fun! Oh, sorry for the DD#3's house, I was imagine it so well, but never mind! Good luck next time!

Trudy, yes, thank you so much, I would love to try this recipe! Need to put it in my shopping list! Oh, yes all this with social media is frustrating, especially because Angelica (the singer) see it too, she is so kind and left me very cute message in other chat! I think we have similar weather. Oh, it's so nice that you don't feel the distance with your friend! It's very difficult this kind of friendship to survive. Your plan for tomorrow sounds wonderful, have a fun! And hope weather to cooperate!

Rae, I'm so happy to see you, was thinking of your family a lot! I'm so happy to hear all these good changes!

Oh, I miss Nancy too, but knowing her I would not be surprised if she came with some story for vacation or fans meeting.
