Happy Tuesday! How is everyone this morning?

I had one of those days yesterday. Everything that I needed to do, aside from getting ready to go food shopping, was like pulling teeth. I called mGP to get x-rays, they don't have them I have to drive down to the hospital to get them. I have the written report so I will bring that to the spine Dr and if she needs the actual films she can get them herself. :p
Then I played phone tag all day with the Cardiologist's office where I have to go to get my echo/stress test done. The paperwork the Dr gave me didn't have diagnostic codes that I need to set up the appt. The woman at the testing center was supposed to call me back (several times, no less) and never did. I have to call again today.
Then I tried to submit the rebate info for my contact lenses -- $50!- and the website says that it is an incorrect serial number, except that is exactly what is typed on the rebate form from *them.* You cannot contact them online unless you have a tracking number, which I can't get because it won't accept my code. I am going to try one more time online then I am going to have to call any number that I can find for them and see if they can figure it out.

:gaah:

I am to food shop today and then I was going to make Gary his shortbreads for his b-day while he was out with his dad but now those plans fell through. Darn it! Is it really going to be another one of those days??

make it a great one!! I am going to try my best!!

Trudy- We are still under this cloudy and dreary weather. The sun pokes out for a tiny bit, then it is gone. Last night we had a lot of wind and rain too. I really want to get my bulbs in the ground but it is either too cold for them or it is too rainy for me.
Dandelions always make me think of my grandparents. They would dig up the leaves and cook them with white beans and put it over polenta. They called it minest. Minestra is the real way to spell it. Italian peasants. very frugal.
So jealous of you and Rae, getting to meet soon. First Imaginary Clara now Imaginary Rae :D

Rae- good luck with your taxes. It is such a crummy thing to have to do. Hope you can figure out what to do about the water lines at the trailer too.

xoxo

good morning - Hi all - read up on the previous post and sorry that I worried as I thought I had told you all that I was off for my annual birding trip. We left last Monday and came back last night around 10pm. This time we headed to bird Florida. OMgosh what an awesome trip. We saw over 95 bird species in just 8 days. Up every day at 5:45 am to be on the road by 7 am. It was so fun. The first day because of the plane flight I had not hydrated and I nearly passed on our walk. It was humid and near 90 degrees. But I just sat on a park bench until it passed. The boys were super sweet! It was one of the best stops. Florida is having a drought so the bugs especially mosquitoes were almost not around. So walking in the swampy areas were pretty easy. We started in West Palm Beach, headed to Miami, then to the Florida Keys, from Key West a ferry to the Dry Tortugas (one of the best days), back up north to the Everglades then west to Corkscrew Swamp, up to Ft. Myers area and Ding Darling Wildlife preserve and finally Tampa Bay and then home. We were lucky in some spots and because of the drought and fires disappointed in others. My DH and son survived with out me which is awesome. Luther and Shadow did too. Both I think were glad to have me back. That was awesomeness! Now have to start scrapping. But I love the photos I took so it will be fun to go back and relive the trip. Our friend Dave is doing an around the world birding trip but because of weather delays in Tampa he missed his flight to Boston which means he missed his flight to Iceland so he loses a day there but the rest of the trip is all a go. I am impressed and how calmly he took the delay. My laundry needs doing, grocery shopping needs to be done and to cook. Bummer to have to come back to real life except for the fact I get to walk Luther. The spring is hear and my lilacs are in full bloom as is my dogwood and a plant my husband got last spring. I have been keeping track of the hockey play-offs and got to watch a bit of hockey when we returned to the hotels.

Chris so sorry about the degenerating discs. Hope they can find a way to slow it down. Would be nice to have a fix that would help with jaw and sciatic pain. This is a crazy month for you. Stay calm. Glad you get this weekend away! Hard to believe how fast the school year goes when you are used to public school ending in June.

Trudy hope you are finally feeling better. A cold in the summer is worse to me than in the winter. Tell you DH sorry to see the Bruins eliminated. But I am glad that the Sens are leading the Rangers and hope it continues.

Rae how cute that Taz and the Noel missed each other and were glad to see the other. Hope you finally get to your taxes. We send our to an accountant as it was too stressful for my DH. And how fun that you and Trudy get to meet! And good luck with trailer woes. Sounds like you will be super busy!

Sharon glad the treatment of your dog went so well and keeping fingers crossed that it worked.

Have a great day all!

Nancy glad you had a good trip

Chris- what a day you had. Good luck getting everything taken care of.

Thanks Nancy for thinking about my dog. November can't come soon enough to find out how she did.

Kitchen sink is clogged and it is come where in the clean out. The clean out is stuck so it has to be replaced. He has to get a jackhammer after it. Ugh.

I am not much of a plant person, but I planted 2 Crotons yesterday, so hopefully the garden gene didn't skip a generation this time.

Good morning, ladies. Lots of work today so again, not much computer time for me today. The sun is shining so I will get out at lunchtime for a few minutes with Taz. Other than laundry and a few chores, it's work, work, work today. I have started adding 1/3 Starbucks decaf coffee to my full caff ground coffee. The chest flutters are decreasing. I know it wasn't anything serious b/c my GP said my ECG was fine but it made me think I should cut back a bit on the caffeine anyway. I drink 3-5 cups a day so I'm sure cutting back on the caffeine is a good thing. I would rather cut back on the caffeine than cut back on the coffee intake as I've changed so much in my diet, I'm not giving up my coffee for anything :)

Chris - hope you get the rebate sorted out, that is frustrating.

Nancy - welcome back. I knew you were away birding and figured you'd be getting some amazing photos to scrap. I would have been in heaven if I had been with you on that trip!

Sharon - hope the pipes are fixed soon. We had a problem with the kitchen sink recently. We could smell a slight moldly smell while standing at the sink for quite awhile but the drain was working fine, not plugged up. So finally a few wks ago, hubs took apart the pipes and found an area where coffee grinds and food had piled up in a curve and wouldn't flush through, so cleaned it and it is fine now. Good thing, b/c we already have a problem to fix at our trailer with pipes and don't need a problem at home too. Whew.

Trudy - are you out enjoying the sunshine? Feeling ok? Hope so.

I'm getting to work now ladies. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Morning O-zies!! I am happy to see at least a bit of sunshine this morning, but it has been so very chilly!! :hurt: I want the warm summer days to hurry up and arrive!! We are never happy are we :becky: Not sure if I should get back to swimming today or not, I have been sneezing all morning and still a bit plugged up, I would hate to spread my germs all over the pool. Perhaps I will get out in the garden and do some much needed raking in the far corner of our backyard. I need to get out of this house for a bit. I wold really like to start another painting soon too, so many things to do but I never seem to get them accomplished LOL!
However I did manage to kill two birds with one stone yesterday and got a page done for my sister that also worked for the colour challenge.:bliss:

Chris - Ugh not a great day for you yesterday! Not the way to start the week off!! I hope that everything goes a bit smoother for you today! Your grandparents used to make dinner from the leaves of dandelions?? Well I hope it tasted better than the wine my mother used to make for them!! YUCK!! it was horrible!! Wish you could come and meet up with Rae and I too, as a matter of fact I wish all of my O friends could make a meet, it would be so much fun!! Sending you lots of good vibes today, to at least get you in a good place so you can deal with your day!

Nancy - Wow!! What an awesome trip you had!! Wish I could have come along with you! Can't wait to see your pages! I bet all of your guys were very happy to have you back home again!! You said now you have to cook? Are you not getting those meals delivered anymore? They sounded so great and healthy and so nice for you to not have to slave over the stove! Lots of :washing: after your trip, its the worst part of coming back home! DH was happy for your Devils to get the first round pick in the Hockey Draft!! He is not too disappointed for his Bruins as they had lots of injuries and hopefully they will do well next season. He said his Stanely Cup to is to see the Montreal Canadians not in the finals LOL!! Hope you have a great day and get in a nice walk with Luther!!

Sharon - More chaos at your place!! Hopefully it gets resolved quickly with out too much destruction! Croton plants are so colourful, I hope that they grow well for you! We would have to keep those indoors here, far too chilly for them where I live!

Rae - No worries if can't meet until June, like I said, I am pretty flexible with dates except for the very end of June. I will be out in Ontario and not sure when I will be returning after the baby is born. I am hoping that I will not have to spend the entire summer out there, it is far to hot and humid for me, but maybe this year will be different for them as the weather patterns seem to be very strange everywhere right now! That reminds me that I need to start to look at flights soon. Hope that your change in caffeine is all that you need, giving up coffee would really be the pits! I have cut back to 1 cup a day and sometimes 2 on the weekends, but I really don't miss it too much. Now if I had to give up my wine that would be a tragedy!! :becky: Not really I could do it if I had too, so far I don't have to so yay!! Sounds like you have a very busy work day a head of you! Hope you get out for a nice walk with Taz in the sunshine later!

Well DH and Mason should be face timing soon, so I should get my bed made and get out of my pjs before they do! Have a fabulous day everyone!!
