CHEERY O
Good Morning, my lOvley O-Fam!

Just about half way though May that feels like April. More rain, yesterday and today.... this is nuts! One the one hand, it makes me happy and takes the pressure off of bathing suit season. LOL After all of the good food I ate over last weekend, I still lost 1/2 lb. (I know, 1/2 lb really doesn't mean much, but at least it wasn't gained hahahahah!!!)
I have to be careful this week, because the menu for Scott's b-day dinner this Sunday is looking yummy too!

I had a weird day yesterday at the vet's. I walked in and there was a German Shepard with a hurt leg, and a man checking in to have his dog put down. It hit me like a ton of bricks that the last time I was at the vet's was with Harley when I had her put down. By the time I got to the exam room, I was bawling my eyes out. The vet was so understanding and said that is the best kind of love.

Today is gonna be a long one. My insomnia is back full force, and I have cleaning/babysitting and then Caitlyn's chorus concert is tonight. Last one, whew!

:tea:

:tea:

Anyone need a cup?

Be back in a few for personals!

Aaahhhhhh! Much better (now have more :tea: )

Eva- enjoy your long weekend! How is your DS doing back with his school stuff? Scott came home with a 92 on a math quiz and brought his History grade up from a 42 to a 61, so he is very slowing improving.

Laurie- I meant to stake my two baby tomato plants yesterday but it started to pour and I didn't get too. I hope they are still standing. But my mronign glories that I planted last week are already popping up! They love the rain.

Phyllis- Did you get your present from DS yesterday? That was sweet of your hubby too. Mine woke up yesterday and realized what an ass he was to me the day before and apologized. He also realized that being off his Lyme meds is a problem and it really affects him neurologically. He is going back on them after Scott's b-day Yay!
Anyway- sorry to hear about the daughter, still. :(
Cooking is not inspiring me either, but I bet with a bum-tummy, it is even harder on you. Hope that you are feeling much better today!

Maureen- oh bummer about the trip to Switzerland. Will you have time to do it again another day? Sounds like the day took out fabulous any way!

Kristy- again, I am so sorry to hear about your friend, that is so incredibly heartbreaking. :(

Clara- I am so excited for you-- the trailer ir really coming along!!!!!! And you got to see our Nana too, did you guys hug each other from me?
I got the cereal and piece of cold toast back int he day too- don't forget my kids are now allowed to use the stove ;) Give it a few years and you won't be worried about them burning down the house. At least not while they are cooking.

Gotta fly! xoxoxo!

Morning all - walked this am- busy day at work and Chris if the sun holds, lawn mowing tonight. It will be a busy day for sure. I need to shower and go water the transplants before work. Working on a layout that I will finish shadowing tonight- so much to do, so little time and I don't have kids at home. I often wonder how I did it before. An aside- someone at work yday told me they never read for pleasure, only for work, that made me feel sad- I like to read for pleasure.

Have great days peeps!

First, Kristy. how awful. how heartbreaking. how do things like this happen to someone so young? i can only guess how terrible this is for everyone who knew and loved your friend. this sort of tragedy is too much to comprehend. just too much.

well. how to talk about my trivia after thinking about Kristy's friend? let me give it a try.

Chris, i DID get flowers from my son and his family yesterday afternoon, which cheered me up considerably. i think he may have learned his lesson after i was bold enough to ask him why i didn't get even a card on my birthday, when he sent my husband a GIFT on his. DS's answer back then was that i had gotten MORE for Christmas than my husband did, and that i should stop being petty. i wrote back and told him that i didn't realize that there was a quota on kindness and that i had used up my share. his attitude (which he has a LOT of) has improved since then. the flowers were great.

Laurie
so much to do, so little time and I don't have kids at home. I often wonder how I did it before.
i often think of that. i feel like i'm moving at 1/4 speed and accomplishing nothing. i used to have two kids at home, a clean house, all the laundry and ironing done and a great dinner on the table every day. now...i think i just figure i have a lot of time, so there's no hurry getting to the jobs....

Clara, YAY on the trailer! hearing about how you build your business is going to be EXCITING!

Maureen. i can't even get my HEAD around SWITZERLAND!!

i really have to get out of the house today. but first, i've gotten behind on my 365, and i have to try to remember what photos go with which days and what i was DOING on those days. sometimes i just put a big question mark for my POTD and my comment is that i have no earthly idea WHAT i did that day. well, it's honest, though not too interesting. but i guess it does give a window into how my brain is working (or not) at the moment....

have a great Tuesday. do what you love for at least a little part of it!

phylis

good morning...i guess....still in a bit of shock here...but trying to pull it together..she was the type of person who wouldn't WANT you to be sad and moping around she was always so happy.

today is my dh's 34th birthday. I am gonna make some of his favorite things for dinner tonight. lasagna and cornbread (weird combo? lol) i was thinking of going out and buying an icecream cake for him...he loves those!

Morning ladies... back after being MIA for the past couple of days! So much to do and so much to catch up on! But its Tuesday and a beautiful sunny one so I am hoping to get lots accomplished today!

Kristy - OMG how tragic about your young friend!! It just makes no sense!! It's bad enough when we lose someone that is older and has been sick for a long time, but to lose someone so young with her whole life ahead of her just seems so senseless ! Hugs to you and her family !!!

Chris - How great that Scott is pulling his grades up!! Its a start right?? Your vet sounds amazing, I know that everytime I went to the Vet it almost made me cry to see the poor cats and dogs so scared or in pain. Cry away sweet friend!! Your love your fur babies and there is nothing wrong with that!! Hope your insomnia doesn't last too long and glad that your hubby apologized to you! We need all that lovin on Mother Day!!

Laurie - already a busy morning for you! I hope to get my walk in today also! Hope your work day goes smoothly! I am like you and like to read for pleasure also!! Hope the sunshine stays with you all day today!

Phylis - Too funny on your pictures for your 365!! I am the same way, I really have to start a journal for my photo taking and jot down what I did for that day and why I even took the pictures LOL! How nice that you got flowers from your DS sounds like his attitude is improving! I didn't get anything from my kids, but in their defense, my son is totally overwhelmed with taking care of two toddlers while his wife is on a course for 3 months and my Sweet daughter is just so broke that she can't afford to send anything through the mail. We facetimed and that was all I wanted, just to see their faces again and hear that they love me. I pray one day that your daughter comes to her senses and realizes what a fabulous Mother she has!!!

Maureen - Thinking of you on your wonderful holiday!!

Clara - So excited for you and your new business adventure, wish I could have joined you on your visit with Nana Linda!!

Well have a glorious day everyone! Off to the gallery to catch up on all the beauty!!

Trudy, here's what saved me and enabled me to even DO a 365:

http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=26059&cat=366&page=1

this year i'm just changing the dates to suit the calendar and continung on. i'm not much of a photographer, so not having to showcase bit photos is nice for me. and the "Twitter-sized" posts every day are perfect for The Girl Who Hates to Journal....

i had last years' printed out in a 12x12 book, and it worked out perfectly.

Great ideas Phylis, I am way to unorganized to do 365 and certainly don't take enough pictures only when we are away or at special occasions, but this 365 kit from Biograffiti would be perfect!!
