Woo hoo, the sun is out *again* Two days in a row, I might melt.
I know that I can't complain but I am in such a rut. Even though I technically have a bunch of stuff to do and have found an incredible amount of time to waste, I am not getting much of anything done. I am on Day Three of trying to scrap a page for Ona's challenge. I did the first part-- creating the background- the rest of it, nothing seems to come out right.
I decided to hold off on the breadsticks until I get the right flour so I wanted more time until I was able to go outside. I was very happy-- got to see my two first mini-toad friends.

I was digging out the baby onions under the slate and I must have disturbed them. Look at how grumpy he is.
Oh right, toads always look grumpy.
you can tell how little they are, next to the acorn.

That was the highlight of yesterday- today am going to my mom's to help her get ready for the surgery.

Caitlyn gave me a bag of chocolate/caramel-covered pretzels yesterday for M-Day so I got spoiled by both of them <3

@bcgal00 SO many birds!! @scrap-genie sent me some bird ID links and Merlin is now on my phone. I can't wait to use it. I end up taking my phone out for PlantNet to ID things growing around my yard (usually weeds LOL) so maybe I can transfer that to checking out birds soon.
It's none of my business but have you thought about therapy/support groups? It has been a huge help for Sam and her family and they were all very anti-therapy before everything happened to Dan. (Anti is too strong a word- just always thought that therapy was not for them) No one can understand what you are experiencing unless they have been through it themselves. Just something to keep in mind to talk to someone who has. xo

That must be difficult for your sister- to still need O2 but great that she is getting better. Was it last year or the year before that she got sick? Either way, such a long time...

Real quick in and out this AM. Have my Red Hat chapter lunch today. Need to get a shower then get my brown bag lunch made so this will be short and sweet.

@faerywings It is my daughter... not my sister... who is still on Oxygen and doing PT right now. DD#2 got Covid in early Jan this year. Yes, my sister had Covid 2 years ago and it took her almost a year to get off the Oxygen.

I need to look for a new cell phone soon as mine is old and the battery is taking longer and longer to charge. UGH... I know I will be have to relearn a lot when I switch as many of them are set up differently. At least, I now how figured out how to use the new home phone... I think!!! #predict

Morning everyone! Looks like you are all having a busy day today! Not me... I am not going anywhere or doing anything today .
I actually started a scrapbook layout yesterday and hopefully will get it finished off this morning. It is sunny right now, but lots of clouds moving in later in the afternoon. Rain of course predicted for tomorrow for my hiking day. I think I will go anyway, its a more difficult hike that is nearby and I need the exercise! Think I am going to bite the bullet and order the bone conduction water proof headset and get back to swimming. I feel like a lump just sitting around all day long. I will start putting the chairs together for the new set today. DH got one done after picking them up and they are not hard to do, so I hope to get that job done today.

@faerywings - darn I can't see the photos either, but perhaps you can reload them when you get back home. I hope all goes well for your Mom's surgery, nice that you are there to help her prepare for it! What a delicious treat from your sweet daughter for Mother's Day! Hope that the sun continues to shine where you are today and for the rest of the week!

@BrightEyes - Have a wonderful time at your Red Hat lunch today! Ugh on needing the new phone, another piece of technology to have to learn!! Glad that you got the new home phone all figured out! You are a pretty smart chick, I knew that you would!

Well I suppose I should empty the dishwasher and make the bed, then finish off my layout and get that posted. I wish my table and chairs came all assembled! I am that type of person who wants instant gratification LOL!

Morning all.

No busy day for me, either. I scrapped a page last night for the Featured Product - I like to get up and look at it again and of course, I made some changes. Haha I can scrap fast if I need to, but I prefer to take my time. I used to work on paper layouts for days. Kept them out on my work table and just moved things around. The gks knew to NEVER touch anything I was working on. Hahaha I kind of do the same thing with digi - keep saving it as I go along and continue to move things around.

Chris @faerywings my family IS full of "evil imps" - that's a good one!! You never know what they're going to do next. Ava got me the coolest candle holder - it's steel arrows - criss crossed with a glass front with Kokopelli in the glass! The candle sits in the middle behind the glass piece. She's the most thoughtful girl!

Gina @*gina* it's SO nice to see you on here - welcome to the Crazy Place!! We're so glad you're here but don't be shocked at anything we talk about. That's all I'm going to say. #predictI love the sound of frogs - we used to live on a nature preserve and they talked all night long - mostly at night, but they used to carry on conversations. We even named them. We sat on the lanai every evening and cracked up at their shenanigans. One of them was "Goat Boy" - from Saturday Night Live. He was the funniest one.

Kay @BrightEyes have fun with your Red Hat gals today - I know you all always have a great time.

Trudy @taxed4ever good luck with your "do nothing day". I'm planning on having one of those too - except for scrapping, which I try to do everyday. It keeps me sane.

PS I totally forgot to tell you guys - while we were out Saturday - I found a painted rock that says "Believe" on it and it has a kite painted on it. On the back it says "918Rocks on Facbook" - if you find it, post a picture - keep it or hide it for somebody else to find". I didn't even know about it, but Ava said it's "a thing" - people hide them all over town and then post their pictures with the rock in that group. She took my picture holding it, but I don't know if she posted it. It was SO fun! I'm keeping it. #clap

Good morning ladies. I was out on the porch getting a few pics of ma and pa sparrow as they popped in and out of the birdhouse and have been guarding their home. They were chirping at Remi to stay away from their house LOL. She just stares at them but doesn't bark. We are heading out soon for errands and will pop by the hot tub place and put in our order. We looked at a few yesterday and made our decision. If the electrical isn't a problem (the hookup is in place but hasn't been tested yet) then the tub should be delivered and installed in the next few wks, hopefully. Deliveries don't always happen when they should so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

I'm going to be looking for office stuff later so I can hopefully get the paperwork together for taxes soon. Still haven't made my banana bread so hope to get to it this afternoon. Sloppy joes for D for dinner today and I'll have a bit of it with broccoli slaw and cauliflower crumbles with green peppers.

@faerywings @*gina* Love seeing wildlife photos. Little frog/toads are so cute (except, Chris, I can't see your pics).

@taxed4ever Hope you are back to swimming soon. I hope we get our pool serviced this summer (finding workers up here is impossible though). I would like to do some pool exercises.

I'm going to go get dressed and get on with my day.
