What do you get when you combine an ocean, Post WWII/US Navy ships and a lot of singing??

Me, in my dream last night! I wish I could remember the details, but I woke up laughing at how goofy it was. It was like one of those silly movies mashed up with Hogan's Heroes!!! bwuhahahah!!!

I guess that makes my big adventure of the day seem pretty tame. Mama bear took off with our garbage can again and when Gary and Scott went back to get it yesterday, she was guarding it. Today is garbage collection and i need my "bear-proof" (NOT!!!) can back. Mama and 2 of the babies came by out house in the afternoon and I tried to get a couple of pics from the windows. They are crummy in quality but man, those cubs are adorable! I tried to post them to Facebook, but I have been having all sorts of trouble with that site not letting me post anything or even "like" things. So bizarre.

I have to also help get Cait all packed up today. Tomorrow she leaves for her class trip to Washington DC. I am so jealous- would you believe I have never been? Some day I will..... wish I could fit in her suitcase LOL

Tip on Tuesday:
I saw this on Pinterest- if you have a patch of weeds on a sidewalk or driveway, instead of using chemicals, use white vinegar to kill them. It said to not use it on grass (sorry, my fellow crab grass lawn girls LOL) but straight vinegar will do just as good a job as Round Up- but all natural. And waaaay less $$. Sweet!
 
Hi Laurie- yes, the day went pretty good. I think having a "slow and easy" day helped me get back on my feet. Poor caitlyn though- she called me from school feeling "Lymie" and I had to pick her up., Normally I would encourage her to stick it out, but if she is going to be keeping a crazy schedule Wed-Friday I wanted her home resting.
It never ends....... :(
When does the new TV "season" even start? We are almost all caught up with what we DVR's- only the House finale is left. Seems weird to have it all gone, but yup. maybe that will encourage us to spend some after dinner time outside.

Nana- I do know, and I wish I could help you too! We could be too little old, hunched over, shuffling ladies holding each other up. (pass me the vodka please!)
Men!!!! Argh!!!!!!! Tell him his hand is going to fall off if he doesn't go and then he can't fish/golf/baseball whatever he does with it.... :/

Kristy- love the lo I saw with the purple flowers down the side! Pretty!

Phyllis- how was your day????????? So quiet and relaxing?? I hope so!!

Yup-- that is IT!! When I "go on strike" all it means that I get aggravated looking at crap, then I still have to deal with it when I can't take any more!:frusty:
Sometimes the hardest thing about chronic illness is that it feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel- there is no "one day I'll be better.... kind of sucks, ya know? But-- then again, it could be worse, so I have to be thankful for that.

Eva- good luck to you and your DS. (((((((((hugs))))))))))) It it so hard not to worry when the kids are in pain and you don't know why or how to help.

Trudy- you seem to have the best weather for those clematis no matter what weather you have LOL
what good plans do you have today for your day off??

I would have rather had your dream Chris- mine had zombies, filthy dirty buildings with lots of boxes and a shop vac that I was using to clean, riding in a pick up truck with two other people and driving through a brush fire that went across the road and me trying to get someplace in an entire maze of a buildings but never truly knowing how to get where I needed to be- then I woke up- hmmm analyze that one- don't watch the news and eat lots of graham crackers before going to bed- just saying!!

Happy day my O family- off to the treadmill and work!

Chris- Bet those were a sight to see the mama and her baby cubs and hope you get that trash can back, but might be more safe to just buy another one! Hope your daughter enjoys her adventure!

Laurie-That's quite a dream and you remembered so much of it too. Love your analyzing of it. Happy treadmilling!

Life got busy, but I'm back on track now. Walked 3 miles with a friend yesterday and this morning headed out to new exercise class which feels refreshing. I hate exercising, but it sounds fun to start a new class and meet new people.........I'm going to scout out the ones who laugh and hang by them! That always makes the time go faster for sure!

Back from the dr. app. It was really hard on J, he wasn't comfortable at all. Lot of talking, and he'd lost even more weight since the last app in April. 2,4 kg = 5.3 lb in just 2 month. He's lost almost 20 kg (44lb) the last year. Not that he didn't need to lose them, but it's not been because of diet or exercise - just because of not eating and sleeping well.

He sure invented a new diet in case anyone needs to lose a few pounds - start playing on-line games, stay up for 18 hrs, sit by the puter all the time, forget to eat, and when your totally exhausted collapse in bed and sleep for 20 hrs. :?

The school dr is forwarding him to a child psychiatrist, and we need to find a way to solve this. End his addiction to internet and games. Not easy when we are a family of internet lovers. Only thing is me and his dad really do other things than be on-line 24/7/365 too.

Tip for Tuesday:
do not follow my son's diet ;)
 
I think all the regular seasons are done Chris....the Summer season shows are starting this week...and last week. I can't stand to be outside after dinner....MOSQUITOS!!!!!HAHAHA!! I am laughing at the picture of you and me with canes/walkers and passing a vodka bottle together!!!

Laurie....UUUHHHHMMM....WTH?? That was an intense dream!!!! The pick up truck is what is getting me :pound:
 
We are off to Cameran's award ceremony this morning...he should be getting at least two....honor roll (A honor roll as he has had straight A's all year) and attendance..he only missed two or three days all year!! WOOT!! so proud of my little man!!

Then to Walmart...UUGGHH!!! why did my day just have to be ruined!!!???
 
I truly hope that I can get our can bac- they are $70-80 each otherwise!! More if you want them w/ wheels.

Chris - Love the photos of the bears, they are cute when they are small, but a nuisance when they get used to eating the garbage from humans, hopefully they won't have to catch these ones and relocate them elsewhere, they do that a lot here. Poor things, we have taken over all of their territory. Sure hope Cait feels better for her trip and that she has a great time!!

Donna - Nice to see you here this morning! Hope you have fun at your exercise class today!

Laurie - Wow that was quite the dream you had!! Are you sure you weren't watching Independance Day (the movie) last night before going to bed?? Love the part about you trying to clean up with the shop Vac!! What's that all about?? LOL too funny!!

Eva - I hope that you can end your son's addiction to gaming and such!! It seems to be a growing problem with our youth! Perhaps getting him involved with a group sport of some kind will help him out??

whew! i almost missed posting today! not much going on here. had several carpets cleaned, moved furniture around. took myself out for kibbe and baba ganouj at lunchtime. cleaned out a closet. drank some wine. am currently trying to DRY some of these carpets with fans. it's so darned HUMIND here in The Jungle that there's nowhere for the moisture to go. i'm pretty sure that the first thing my cat will do, once i let him out of his captivity in the family room when the carpets are dry...is that he'll cough up another hairball right on the newly-cleaned carpets. sigh....:Cry:

Eva, i thought about you and your son all day. i hope this all works out. i know that it's hard to deal with stuff like this. WHERE does it come from? it always seems to just hit you out of the blue, like an asteroid. ((hugs))

the dreams were wacky, the photo of the ladies with legs that look JUST like mine was a hoot. it's so pleasant to visit with you all, every day. thanks for being there, inside my computer.::grouphug

Aww Phylis group hug right back at you. My dog left me two different presents when I got home. He is so hanging -the house right under my feet. Not like him to not want to be out. I am taking him to the vets on Thursday - in my new Caddy-I have a plan to keep him from ruining my seats, if I can get him in that is. I am not looking forward to this as he has been having more frequent "spells" so want to see what they think is going on. Afraid that they may not have any good answers and that I will have to make a decision- arghhh
