And there we have it. The last day of June. That means we are halfway through 2020. And still have halfway to go :faint: This year is never gonna end!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a *very* big mistake yesterday. Very big.
I couldn't remember if I had a second mug of coffee so I decided to not have one more. Remember my mugs are huge, so 1 mug is almost 16 oz. Around 11 am, I was feeling tired and cranky. By 1 pm, I had a terrible headache. Two Alleve barely touched it. So I have officially determined that I never did have that second mug and sadly, I was too lazy to make one. It was hot in the kitchen at the point so I didn't really want one either.

Actually no one in the house was feeling super great so it was a good thing that the Theme night was low-key. Gary slept almost the entire day. I am worried about him. I am also worried about Ray. She has been on the new arthritis meds for 6 days and she is getting worse. She is even more unsteady on her legs and her back legs will go out from under her. As soon s I get home from cleaning, I am placing a call to the vet.
The good medical news from my mom is the cardiologist called back and the new meds are too strong so he is adjusting her dose down.

The dogs liked their new toys and treats. J already destroyed one toy and there is fluff all over the floor. Ray chewed the pup cake but W seemed to swallow it whole. She was bouncing all over while we sang "Happy Puppy Day to you!"

Today will be the longest I have been out of my house since March 13. It will be neat to see other people's walls instead of my own. haha! I am not sure how long I will be there. Usually, it takes me about 3 hours. I might go back tomorrow if I need too. We will see.

No ideas on anything else I am doing or cooking for dinner.

xoxo

Nancy- Sounds like a very productive day! We had pouring rain but the sun was out. It must have been from a cloud next door to us that we couldn't see b/c the sky was bright blue. Thanks for giving Luther treats!
My ILs live in Montville and the storms hit them hard and much of the town was without power. and we only got a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.

Trudy- The trip to the Gardens must have been amazing and smelled wonderful! How nice to not have to deal with crowds. I hope that your stomach wasn't mad at you for too long.
You and your Gary got so much done in the yard, I think it sounds like paradise!! I don't blame you about the dogs barking, I hate when my dogs bark too. We try to stay on top of it and we sure don't let them just bark and bark and bark. There is a husky that lives a block over and that poor baby is left outside all the time -- in this heat too- and he cries so much. Breaks my heart and makes me angry at his owners. But when dogs just bark because they are being ignored when they bark, it gets me aggravated too.

I better get off the computer too, I hope to be out of here in less than an hour.
Hugs!

Good morning everyone! A cloudy morning, we might get rain, but then again we might not LOL. The weather changes here every 5 minutes! I will be busy with some behind the scenes month end stuff for a good part of the morning and then I hope to get another page done today! I need to catch up on my commenting too! I think that I will have a sore behind today from all the sitting at the computer I will be doing LOL. I guess I better squeeze in a walk at some point today, to stretch my legs and get some fresh air! I got lots accomplished yesterday and finished off my :washing: got a page scrapped and even helped Heather figure out a computer problem she has been having. I made a new Keto recipe last night for dinner. It was really delicious! Meatballs over cauliflower rice with brown gravy. DH said it was keeper!! Now to figure out what to have for supper tonight :mmph: Tomorrow is our Canada Day holiday :canada:, so DH will have the day off. I was supposed to hike tomorrow, but our group is not allowing drop ins so DH can't join us for the hike. We will do a hike together instead, it will be good for my Gary to get out in the fresh air and get some excercise!

Chris - Sorry that you had to spend part of the day with such a bad headache!! That is so sad that you are all not feeling that great! It must be such a worry when your Gary sleeps the whole day away! Perhaps the heat and humidity is taking its toll on all of you? Now your poor fur baby is not getting any better either  Hopefully the vet can help you out! Glad that your pups loved the great treats and new toys! Happy to hear that your Mom will be getting her meds adjusted, sure hope she feels better soon! I wish I had you living behind me instead of our very bad neighbours! I know that you would never let your dogs behave so badly! Good luck with your cleaning job today! It will be good for you to be out of your house and in different surroundings for a change!

Hi to everyone else who pops in today! I hope that you have a great last day of June!

good morning my kitty went wild around 4am and it took a while to get back to sleep. She has not done this in ages. I wish I knew what sets her off. LOL. So I will need a nap. Went with my DH to a park near us and since I have not been to this area it was fun to be out and made sure we both had our masks on. From our walk it was younger adults that were not wearing masks. Luther actually went with me last night. He goes long enough to do his business and then he heads home and he knows exactly which way he wants to go. He cracks me up. Got some scrapping done and now to upload. I really need to comment too.

Chris glad you are back with the house cleaning. Maybe a bit of normal. Your mother's doctor sounds good and glad the meds will be changed. Your puppy night must have been such fun though sorry that Gary in feeling under the weather. I know he hates heat and humidity. I sure hope that your fur baby feels better too! Luther will be 5 this July. The time just goes by so fast! I cant believe half the year has gone by.

Trudy have fun hiking tomorrow with your MG. That is interesting that your hiking group does not allow drop ins. Are they worried that it will be too large of a group or more worried for the virus. Your trip to the garden sounds awesome. The smell from the roses must be out of the world. And I bet it was so nice as there were so few tourists. I keep seeing videos of our parks where the animals have come out to play as there are so few people visiting.

Felis I forgot to answer your question. Yes I walk without Luther when he is too hot. In my town lots of people using walking as exercise. We have very wide streets and so if you meet someone on the side walk easy to just step into the streets. If I head to my downtown I always were a mask but in just my local few blocks I don't as I am outside and it is easy to social distance. Hope your weather has gotten better.

Jean have you been keeping up with baseball. Spring training part 2 starts here tomorrow. Everyone excited and so far none of the Yankees or Mets have opted out of playing. I certainly understand the players and their reasons.

Last week started with me being overwhelmed with Zoom meetings, lectures, other stuff but ended pretty relaxed. DH got the new lawnmower and likes it better. The old one went out on the tree lawn and got picked up by the gleaners in about an hour (DH was timing it to see how long it took.) This week is a little quieter but we're expecting heat later in the week that I'm not looking forward to. Tonight is the season finale (of six episodes) of the Genetic Detective that I've been enjoying.

Chris, happy belated birthday!!! I guess I just wasn't here Friday. Thanks for the comment on the LO of DH's birthday card. I think it was another image that never showed up here like one of Trudy's since then. So sorry for the headache and really hoping today goes well with the cleaning. Sending good thoughts to Gary. Is the AC keeping up? Good luck with R and the vet.

Trudy, it will be nice to get to hike with your MG tomorrow. And a Happy Canada Day! Loved your description of the outing to Butchart Gardens. Some of our relatives have been there, but we've never even been to BC. Your meatball dinner sounds wonderful.

Nancy, I've been paying as little attention to baseball as possible, wanting it to just get here already. I'm not sure it's a good idea and hate the nonsense involved in getting it together, but I know I'll get interested once it starts, or at least a little. Most games aren't on open air networks and we're used to watching games when we go out to dinner - which we're not doing. So that means I can't watch most of it. But I have spent plenty of time with it on the radio over the years, so maybe. Nice that you're getting to walk in nice places. Wishing Luther some cool times to walk.

Kay and Felis, HI.

Woke up early again... at 5 AM. Not sure what is going on as it was still dark outside when I got up... with just a hint of dawn not arriving for about half-an-hour. But at least I am sleeping through the whole night with no coughing at all. Yea!!! Guess my long-acting reflux meds have finally kicked in. Such a relief to be back to 'almost normal'. Called this morning early and got my mammo appointment set up... for this Thursday afternoon! Usually have to wait 2-4 weeks to get an appt. It is over at the hospital less than a mile from me. So now all the dr's appts are all scheduled and should be done in just a couple of weeks.

Spent the morning finishing up some CT work and making sure I am ready for the July challenge. I am more than ready to say good-bye to June! Just not sure I am ready for July, though. DH's birthday is July 10th and the half-year milestone of his passing is on July 8. That is always a rough week. So I plan on taking it easy next week. I usually just buried myself in reading but with the library mainly closed can't wander around there and find books to read. I really miss going to the library at the Senior Center as they always had 'new to me' books each week. Not sure when they will open back up as our state has stopped opening anything new right now. Waiting to see what will happen over July 4th in the way of new cases.

Got the laundry done and put away on Sunday. The back is still a bit 'iffy' so no cleaning yet. Got half the glass in my shower stall done about 2 weeks ago but it still needs another go at it to get the waterspots/etc off. Left the shower door as it will need several treatments to get it clean. Got some more vinegar so will mix it and baking soda together and put a heavy coat on it. DD#1 brought over some RainX Shower door spray to put on it when I get it clean.

Chris, I bet you had a caffeine withdrawal headache cause you didn't get your 2nd cup of coffee. That is the PITA. Maybe being back to doing a bit of 'normal' cleaning for others will boost your spirits some. So sorry that Gary is having a rough time of it and needing more sleep/rest right now.

Trudy, hope you have a good hike.. and it is nice you choose to go with your DH since he is off. Happy Canada Day!!! Enjoy the holiday.

Been hearing more and more airplanes flying around in the past week. We are in the northern section of the flight path for the airport/base traffic. Guess there are more flights now plus the base is doing more flying. We just got word that the Sept State Fair and the Oct International Balloon Festival have been cancelled for this year. The 4th of July Fireworks will go on but no area where crowds can gather for it. Will be mainly broadcast of TV. I plan on staying inside - not sure if I will even try to watch it on TV.

Gotta run. CYL
