It's here. It's here, it's HERE!!!!

The babies are coming home today!
I can't wait to get my hands on them for sweet snuggles. I asked Caitlyn if she thought I would be allergic to these girls, too. She laughed at me. I seem to get more allergic with each "batch" of rats yet it doesn't stop me from cuddling them. What's a "few" hives here and there?
Caitlyn and Tom have a long road trip ahead since the pickup point is near the MA/NH border ~ 3.5 hours from us. To be young, in love, and spending the day together with baby ratties.
How was your day yesterday? The field trip was good. It went by so quickly and the kids seemed to have a blast. My coworker and I did 2 rotations of my least favorite lesson, Forest Floor. It's counting different types of leaves with a rope boundary. And then we make an ecosystem yarn web. That part is fun, but the leaf counting--- pfft. I'd rather look for animals and insects. *G* We did see a baby (really tiny) black rat snake and a pretty big toad. They were nowhere near each other, not that the snake would have been able to eat the toad b/c of the size difference.
Gary texted me a bunch of pictures while I was at work. Apparently, we have a young bunny living under our hedges. He took a video of the bun eating an entire black-eyed Susan leaf in less than a minute. Good thing I have plenty of them in the garden.
(Like the chipmunk and squirrels that destroyed the onion plants and several of the pepper plants in the buckets. They have to eat too, I guess!)
Off to pick up groceries this morning and then it is the last day of HS until the fall. I am bringing the kids to the upper stream and we can explore in there . I made a freshwater ecosystem game for them to play too. It's going to be hot and sunny so a perfect day to do that.
Time to post this, then personals, and then get my day going!
