Happy Summer Solstice and happy anniversary to my lovebird parents.
58 years and they never had a fight hahaha!

I am feeling a lot better this morning, I would say about 97% upright with a 20% chance of back twinges. You can tell I am feeling better because I just threw ketchup-flavored chaos on the forum.

I was so *bored* again yesterday. I played online crosswords and puzzles and scrapped a bit. I made cards for two of my nieces, their graduation party is this Saturday. And I shuffled around the house every so often. meh. I am not good with this "resting" BS!
I am going to take it easier again today but I think I will get upstairs and do some laundry and play with the rats. Caitlyn set up the bottom level of the cage for the little ones. Evie had the bottom two "floors" and the little ones had the upper two. She spent all day Saturday cleaning out the lower level and decorated it with new climbing toys and hides. I am glad that I switched the food shopping to online this week, I don't think I would be up to walking that much even if Gary helped me.
I love that man but food shopping with him... #angry2 Turn my back for a split second and chocolate donuts are in the cart. :/

@LSlycord would you believe it is warmer this morning in NJ than yesterday and it is only 55*!

And part of the reason that I am here is because I hurt so much in the winter back home.

I hear ya. I wish that the heat didn't make Gary's blood sugar go wonky. I would probably push a lot harder to move south if I could

@BrightEyes how are you feeling today? I hope that resting is helping you to feel better. Have you been tested for anemia? If it is still happening, you might want to get that checked.

We watched all three seasons of Bloodlines, it started out amazing but then got confusing. The last season tries to wrap everything up so you might be close to getting to that point.

@taxed4ever Your dinner sounds wonderful and full of laughter and conversation. I am not surprised how tired you were, that is a lot of people and food to deal with, hope that the last of the cleanup yesterday wasn't too bad
Thank goodness that Heather doesn't have to pay for the new hot water tank, I know we are going to have to get a new furnace/hot water heater at some point and it is going to be $$$. I hope they get their new one soon!

I second @Cherylndesigns Justified was great and it doesn't hurt that Timothy Oliphant is the lead. I have a rec for you too, Cheryl. We are watching Dark Winds on AMC. It is a crime drama on a Navajo Reservation in the 1970s. Zahn McClarnon is the lead in that.

Good Morning ladies... Today the weather is MEH!! Not raining but not sunny either, just grey and dull. I will have to go out and do some watering in the back today. Hard to believe after all the rainy days we have had, but the roses and other bushes are looking pretty thirsty. It does look like starting tomorrow we are finally going to see some heat and lots of sunshine for an entire week. I will believe it when I see it LOL. I did manage to get out for a walk yesterday after getting all the cleaning done and have been working on a card for my sister's birthday. Today I am determined to scrap at least two pages and get some commenting done! That is my main goal for today! Tomorrow the new screen gets installed and hopefully we can pick up the screens for the front room windows in the next couple of days. Still waiting to hear if Heather has hot water today, but I think that they are all going to the splash park and swimming pool. Jonah took the day off and will join them. It is a school outing and they volunteered to help out. So Nice!! It looks like a very warm day for them today, so its a great way to spend the day! So not too much on the to do list today and that's ok! Oh and here is a link to the video I made with the infinity card for FIL's birthday. Please don't judge LOL. It was my first try at doing one. And the first time I have used You Tube to upload a video.

Morning, all. Surprise... I am up - showered and dressed before popping in to see what is happening in your worlds. Had another 'cold' afternoon (later than usual) yesterday with a nap - but not quite as bad as it has been. A few friends have had something similar to my symptoms so guess it is something going around. Not Covid - test negative. Had a few sprinkles yesterday but that was it. They have most of the state on Flood advisories or warnings for the next 2-3 days with heavy rains/flash flooding that may extend into the weekend. The knee is still aching and think part of it is due to the high humidity. So limiting my time on the computer still.

@taxed4ever I love the infinity card you made!!! It has been several years since I made one of them. They are so fun to see but lots of work to put it together. Great job on it!

Hope that your back is 100% soon! I also hope that your day is not quite so boring as yesterday! However it is good that you are doing the right thing and taking it easy, so your back can get better!

@BrightEyes - Sorry that you had another chilly afternoon, good to know that it is probably something that is going around and that it is not Covid! Thanks for liking my first ever infinity card, I will be making another soon, it was so fun! Take care of that knee and hopefully you will be back to no pain soon!

@taxed4ever sounds like you have some business ahead...hope that it starts feeling a little more like summer. I hate gray and gloomy. And that card...WOW! I haven't ever seen anything quite like that. Just amazing! Glad you figured out how to get it uploaded.

@bcgal00 the Wildlife Park sounds like fun. Cannot wait to see the photos!

@BrightEyes glad that it isn't Covid but sorry that you are still feeling unwell. Of course, that does help you not want to be up and about with the knee. Silver linings? One of the things that I really hate about Covid is that anytime that we get a bug these days, we have to worry about whether or not it is Covid. #angry2

@faerywings the heat kind of messes with my blood sugar too...but I really spend very little time outside so can't blame that for the ridiculous readings I had this morning. Let's see...maybe it was because I am getting no exercise and I ate 2 big popcorn balls last night. Glad that your back is feeling better. Please take it easy and let it heal the rest of the way.

Good afternoon - I've been up for awhile, but just got on here. Chuck and I and the dog and cat sat and chatted in the living room longer than usual this morning. It's so weird to think that nobody will be popping in here for the next few days. Ava will, but she works from home, full time now, so her time is more limited than it used to be. Chris @faerywings thanks for the big hugs - I NEED them - I'm feeling like a rudderless ship right now - my back doesn't hurt like yours, but I sit here and then get up and shuffle around. I'm mildly depressed - I hate feeling this way! I did go out early evening (yesterday) and had some plant therapy. I watered everything, front and back, talked to them all and just enjoyed their presence. Trudy @taxed4ever I'm with you - no matter how much rain we get, my plants always look thirsty. You figured out to upload a video!! Congrats and keep them coming - that's a great first video!

Chris @faerywings isn't Timothy Oliphant THE hottest? I fell in love with him - love his style all around - yummmmm. We really enjoyed that show. About Bloodlines - i-yi-yi what a convoluted show that was. It started out good - I loved the ambiance and the family dynamics for the short time it lasted. We watched the end of it last night and we just sat there and looked at each other like ?????? We KNEW it would be a weird ending, but that ending was beyond weird. Chuck summed it up: they were NEVER happy - the family. There wasn't much happiness in that whole show. I said I thought he nailed it. We'll have to look into Dark Winds - we started another show after Bloodlines ended - Mayor of something (I can't remember) - "John" from Bloodlines is in it and it's about a huge prison in a fictitious town in Michigan. NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! Then we started another one - pioneer days where the women rule a town - very strange, but we're going to watch another episode tonight. We're floating on a life raft again looking for something good to watch.

Kay @BrightEyes I hope you get to feeling better. How's the knee today?

I'm going to sign off - I have a big blog post to do today and it takes awhile. I should have started on it last night but I wasn't in the mood (GSO). I have it all ready to transfer to the blog though - that's the biggest job.

Been a slow day. Usually is the day after working a full day. But I sure as h*** need to do better tomorrow cuz U was a bit grumpy when he got home from work & I hadn't done what I had said I would do.

Guess, what!? Urban and I was talking the other day, that we really should be getting back with WeightWatchers & get rid of our Covid kilos. So, the day before yesterday, I signed up for the newsletter in hope of there being any nice campaign soon. And this morning, I got an e-mail. Today it is 50 years since WW started in Sweden & if you signed up today for the rest of the year, the price would be 100 SEK/month. Ordinary price is 249 SEK (if you sign up for a year, otherwise I think the price is 349 SEK/month). Soooo ... tomorrow we're starting with WW again. Felt like the universe really wanted us to, with that amazing price.

Lost 17 kilos with WW before Covid, but I'm sure it will be harder this time, since menopause has hit me. But if I just lost about 4-5 kilos, it sure would help with my heartburn. And blood presure. And my looks. LOL

Good afternoon, ladies. Went to the Wildlife Park which was fun. There isn't a lot there to see at the moment, some of the animals are off-limits. I wonder if it is because it is mating season for some of them. But I did watch two bears quite a bit which was entertaining. Saw a fox, porcupine, elk, bison, wolves, sheep, goats, ducks, eagles and owls. You never know what will be there because it is a rescue and rehabilitation center so some animals get released back into the wild and others live there forever if they can't be released. Because of the plexiglass and fencing, it wasn't always possible to get photos but I did enjoy watching. It was a wonderful 2.5 hrs of wandering around the park. I got a gorgeous mug with a colorful wolf print on it. Then I went to visit friends who are out that way and just got home an hour ago. I was starving. I'm going to do a bit of scrapping as I wait for photos to load in LR.

@taxed4ever The infinity card is stunning!

@faerywings I had a laugh about the remark about the donuts in the cart b/c that is what D would do, donuts, chocolate bars, munchie mix, blueberry or cranberry/orange muffins and garlic sausage are his go-to items.

@tanteva Good for you to want to try to lose weight and be healthier.

@Cherylndesigns Hope the blues go away soon.
