Happy sunny day from NJ! OK yes, a very humid NJ too. yesterday was very humid. I don't know what the temps actually got up to, it was well over 90* with a Real Feel of 105* Even Crazy Me didn't work outside. Scott did. Poor guy, it must have been brutal, especially in the greenhouse. It won't be as bad today and should cool down towards the end of the week.

The vet went fine, even if it was $$$$$$. Ray did great, as long as you shove cookies by her mouth, she doesn't seem to care with you do to her. *giggles* Floyd had his blood done and we will know how his kidneys are functioning on Thursday. The vet said the same thing-- if he is hiding and miserable all of the time, it isn't worth tormenting him with fluids. He hasn't lost weight since this started so that is good. He was 15 lbs but has been holding steady at 11.5. Normal cat size. haha!

Cait and Gary gave W and J baths and OMG-- why are dogs maniacs afterward? W went in first and J was aiming right by the bathroom door and then they ran around at Super-Zoom speed for a bit. Then it was J's turn and W stood guard at the door. when they let J out of the room, it was Super-Duper-Zoom speed.:dogwalk: :dogwalk:

Finished the page for Trudy's Challenge and started another one. Still struggling and plodding along...

Today I am food shopping and Gary will be waiting for the tree service to come and let us know how much it will cost for the tree by the side of the house to be taken down. If we can just get the large branches off, maybe it won't be too much? *hopeful*

wishing you the best of days!

Nancy- aww that was sweet to run the AC on for the cat. Cait will put the AC on for her rats before she would ever turn it on for herself. It has been nice that it is calling down at night. W wanted her walk too but the road was too hot for her paws in the afternoon, so Cait took her out right before dinner when the trees shaded the side of the road. But also-- a really short walk. Poor Luther with all of his fur!

Very smart to do the TSA precheck!

Trudy- how did the porch staining work out, the weather cooperated? Thanks for the compliment on my photo. I was going to wear my Elizabeth Warren/Nevertheless, she persisted T-shirt, but the organizers requested that we wear white in solidarity.

7 sleeps to Paris!!!! wheeeeee!!!!

Felis- hope that your crazy mood is a good one!

hugs to everyone!

good morning - whew the humidity is way us and luckily Luther gets his walk early and then just too hot for the later walk. It is 88 at it is only 10 am. He really is hiding in the basement. Made an awesome blue apron dinner. Sweet and spicy chicken lettuce wraps and the recipe is from Chrissy Teigen. There was nothing left over. I love that. Watched the soccer matches and the Belgium/Japan game was crazy - Belgium came back to win 3-2 in stoppage time after being down 2-0. Japan went into defense mode and that is not a good strategy. And I am now on book two of the Crazy Rich Asians. If any of this is based on truth then there are people with way way too much money. But fun to read about. Today is just try and stay cool.

Chris smart that you did not go outside. I bet the dogs loved the baths to cool down. Nice of Cait to take the dog for a walk in the cool of evening.

Trudy wow so soon for Paris. I am so excited for you! Glad you got the deck staining done. Finished projects are the best! I am glad that Moore got such a good deal. I think he will fit nicely with the Bruins defense. I think my Devils are trying to add in all their youngsters. The Devils have their development camp next week so I look forward to that. Hockey is year round it seems.

Felis hope the crazy mood is a good one (like Chris says) and enjoy the sales.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies! A gorgeous day today, but of course it is, everyone is back to work and the long weekend is over! :mmph: We got lots done yesterday, the deck is stained and still setting up. Funny part was that when we started staining I said, "this isn't the same colour as before" It was the colour of the back steps coming off the deck . But we really love the way it turned out! A darker colour than what was on the porch originally, but it looks so much better! A happy mistake! Only problem is now we have to re-paint the lattice around the porch, but there are so many plants and bushes in the way that we can't get to it. So we did the lattice that was showing and will have to complete the job perhaps in the fall when the bushes lose some of their foliage. Today I will get my hair done, I am so looking forward to getting my cut and colour, it really needs it! The sun has bleached my hair to blonde, so I will be getting some low lights to brighten it up hopefully! Then on Saturday I go for a pedicure and I will be all set for our time away!

Chris - Uggh your weather sounds so hot and humid, I'm afraid I would parish! :faint: I am really hoping that the weather in Paris is not too, too hot. What was our son thinking about going to Paris in July LOL. Isn't spring time the time to go there. Really I am not complaining, I am just so thrilled to be going with them, with my DH's knees being so bad I doubt that we will be going anywhere for a long time after this trip. Sorry the vet visit was so much $$, and the story of the baths was cute, isn't it crazy how the dogs love to race around at warp speed after their baths! :pound: Love, Love your page for my challenge and I hope that you don't struggle too much with your next ones! Enjoy the day and try to stay out of that horribly hot sun!

Nancy - Oh poor Luther! So hard on the dogs that have a heavy coat! Nice that you can get out for a walk when the temps are better though! Wow 88 at 10 am already! I know my poor DD will be cooking in that heat, but thankfully they do have AC. Hard to keep Mason indoors though when all of his friends are wanting to play. I hope to have a Facetime call today, but she just might be way to busy with the boys to do that. Aww thanks for being excited for me and our trip, I am getting pretty excited too! I saw that you have been busy with more hockey pages, I really need to get to the gallery and spend more time there! I always love your action filled layouts! Keep cool today!

Felis - I can't wait to hear about your crazy mood, hopefully it is a good crazy mood! You should be a happy girl today after winning the Gift Certificate for the June challenges! Lucky you! Mr. Random was good to you this month! I hope you find some great scrapping supplies to work with !

I really should get to the pool today, but I will see how my morning goes and how much I get done around here. Off to grab another cup of coffee :cof3: Wish you could all join me for a cup! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning girls,
yes it's a happy madness with sure. My sister sent me these lovely photos from her vacation every day, mom is in such a good mood now when is free from the work stress, and all is so light and frivolous. So I refuse to stand face by face with the truth, even I realize it's a half year gone, without I to move in a inch. Oh, I'll do it... I'll do it probably soon... but it's just too comfort to staying here and left the sunlight caress my face, ignoring all the stupids and sad things outside my little haunt.
Oh and I'm so happy for the coupon win! I'm excited to use it and very grateful!

Chris, sounds like vet visit was good one. Yeah, wet pet are always fun, as though water is some kind of battery :) . Sounds very nasty about Scott at this hot, hope he is able to hydrate enough! But I bet even then he comes so tired.

Nancy, here is not so hot still and rainy every day so dogs still not have a problems. But I know how Luther is supposed to feels. Great that all with the airport going as was plan. I have to check more carefully your MOPS project and is in my list for the next week. And I better to not start complain about Wimbledon :( .

Trudy, such a nice 'mistake' with the better tone for your porch. Count me at the team of people exciting to see your Paris photos! I hope you'll can visit Musée d'Orsay! At least inside is cool at both points of meaning of the word. I'm hearing will have some strange renovation around the Eiffel Tower, but hope they aren't start yet! The kids pools sounds very funny and cool! Will become a great summer page! Right now I saw just lovely fish kits from different designers in any stiles.

Rae and Jean from the weekend, looks like you are been too busy too.
Jean, this books sounds intriguing, but (of course  ) I couldn't found it translated here.
Rae, I'm happy to hear you had nice time at the trailer and opened the season. Hope to have more chances to go and on a good news from B visits!

Happy 4th of July to all Americans! :pop2:
How bad it's not a weekend or I could convinced my family to make a barbecue too.
