gooooOOOOd morning!!! Happy Tuesday! I actually have some time this morning. I don't have to be at work until 10, so I am going to get my coffee, get some house work done and then hang here. I miss you guys! I hate posting and running so much, it makes me feel disconnected.

It is going to be super hot and humid here- so Cait and I are hitting the lake this afternoon., I ended up going by myself for a couple of hours yesterday. It was either work around the house with a bunchy of cranky pants or get outta here and leave the laundry for another day ;)

Good choice wouldn't you say?

Hope all of you are doing amazing!!

Tip on Tuesday:
Don't forget to stay hydrated in this heat! (Coffee and or vodka do NOT count, so stick with water!)

what. no vodka?? hey, it LOOKS just like water, Chris, so you must be wrong....:becky:
hey, am i glad you left the house and took some ME time at the lake. all the cranky pants were still there when you came back, right? and YOU got some room to breathe and do whatever you felt like doing!

what is it with me and people who deliver services and stuff? did i mention that my furniture never came because the DOT pulled the delivery truck off the road for safety violations last week. never mind that i stayed home all day waiting for the delivery to come. and this morning i got up early and showered and dressed so a tree guy could come to give me an estimate. he called and said he wasn't going to come today because a big job came up on a felled tree. we rescheduled for tomorrow, which is, ironically, also the day when the furniture is also supposed to be delivered. sounds like the Perfect Storm of Pi&$?!& Me Off Possibilities. we'll see how it goes, i guess. so now the new plan for today is the BB&B and JoAnn's coupon run and putting up with 95 degrees. hope the little old AC continues to chug along at my house.

hope today is exactly what you wish for. do what you love.

Laundry is in, garbage is to the curb, just replied to a few long lost emails.... now for a small break.

So yesterday my parents came over to officially sign the title of Scott's car over to us. But can I say how NOT ready I am to have a kid driving? This morning's local nnewspaper had a headline of yet another group of teens in a bad car accident. Last Wed there was a fatal accident with a group of teens. Both accidents were kids allegedy coming to check out Clinton Rd. (Clinton Road (New Jersey) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). These kids should not be driving at midnight, one of them shouldn't have been driving at all- he was only 16! The only thing I can hope for is that my kids will respect the roads they will be driving on. These two sets of kids came from "typical" city/suburbs of NJ as opposed to the country roads up here. *sighs* So sad....

My brain is feeling all scrambled so I am going to get on with personals:)

Linda S- when do your kids go back to school? I feel like we are still in the "Just started summer" mode. Hope you are staying somewhat cool- I keep reading about the horrible droughts out Midwest. Goo dluck with your work, I hope the transitions are easier than you expect.

trudy---- I am so happy for youuuuuuuu!!!!!! Enjoy every minute with your DD!!

Phyllis- that is what we did, burgers, hot dogs, and salads. Easy peasy! Pizza sounds like a good plan soon too!
I am so thankful that my kids are eligible for reduced lunches at school. $.40 a day for crappy food but it is cheaper than what I would have to spend at the store and then have to fight with them to make and pack. i think Caitlyn got a PB&J most days but who cares?? LOL

Nana ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) it will get better, it has to!!! Sending hugs and an easy day to you.

Heater- woot!! Good for you!!! A 5k!! Awesome!!

linda S-- *WHY* is that?? Why??? Mine are the same way- one day they love, next day they hate, then next day they switch! I can never get the two of them on the same food page at the same dang time!!
I used to be able to feed Gary just about anything but over the last year he has gotten picky too. And I have to admit, I have so many mental food conflicts that it is hard for me as well. If I never had to worry about cooking again, unless I wanted too, I would be thrilled.

xoxo!

Phyllis- that sounds like a total PITA!!

I do think you might be right about the vodka.... I shall have to try it out and see. :pound:

Morning ladies... Oh its kinda quiet in here today, DD and I are off to the river to spend some time on my brothers wharf and soak up the rays and do a little swimming. My brother has a fabulous riverfront property that we just love to spend time at. They will both be there with us as they are now retired and in between golf games they live on their wharf all summer. I will take some photos to show you one day. So nice to have DD home, although I think she finds us a bit boring in the evenings as all MG wants to do is watch the news :mmph: that's depressing!! So we will have to do some other activities in the evenings, like perhaps some card games or something on Wii?

Chris - Glad you left the grumpy pants behind!! The laundry will wait, and so will the housework, although it would be nice if someone surprised you and did it for you!! But that's not going to happen right? Phylis has the right idea, I say take both water and vodka to the Lake with you next time, it will make the day that much more relaxing :becky: It is scary to think of your baby driving I know, but he has a good head on his shoulders and you have raised him right, so just make sure he knows what you expect of him and the rest is in his court. Still it is hard not to worry like crazy I know!! I still worry about my son's driving, but he is a great driver, just like his daddy!! It is in our nature to worry. We are mothers, its what we do!

Phylis - Oh my... you really do have trouble with delivery guys don't you!! I think I would be pulling my hair out waiting for that furniture!! Do you need to have a tree removed from your property? Too bad we don't live closer, my hubby used to be a logger before he joined the rcmp, he could fall it for you! He would love that!!! :becky: Hope your day goes well and your ac continues to throw out that cool air!!

Wel I better get a lunch packed for our day at the river, perhaps a couple of coolers too? Don't worry I'm the driver so it will be water for me :hurt: Sometimes its no fun being the responsible one!! LOL. Enjoy the day everyone
