Hi my lOves! I have to make this quick today. I have to get in the shower, the chiro, and then blood work this morning.

Nice day for me at the lake yesterday. I was able to stay for about 2 hours and then saw that it was time for me to head home. I might try to get there for an hour or so today too, and then walk/yoga tonight. That is the weather holds, we might have T-storms on and off all day.

QOTD
Do you watch T-storms?Like them? What about other weather phenomenon? would you ever be a storm chaser?
I like watching stroms from my window, don;t like driving in heavy rain or snow. I would never be a strom chaser, the idea of a tornado freaks me out!

good morning - yesterday was wonderful got some scrapping done and got in a good bike ride. My poor car is still in the shop but at least my son knows what the problem is just not sure how to fix it. Seems that the car door thinks is should be opened and when that does not happen it does not relock itself and stays on and so drains the battery. Freaky. Makes me wish cars were a little less innovated. They are not sure why it stays on. LOL. Went out to dinner with my girlfriends to Chipolte. Brought home extra since I have not been to the grocery store. Such a good excuse not to cook! Watched a funny show though I am not sure it is meant to be funny - Running Wild with Bear Grills. He took Kate Hudson on a mountain trek. It was interesting to see him capture pigeons and then they cooked them for dinner using gunpowder from a WWII bullet found in the mountains bunkers to start the fire! He had her repel down a 200 ft mountain cliff. The only weird thing he had her eat was wood ants. I find the show humorous because I think they are out in the wilderness but there is no way they would let anything happen to the star on the trek. And I doubt they would just enter into bunkers that were thought to go through the mountain without doing a pre scout to know that they did go through the mountain.

Chris glad you had such a lovely day at the lake. Good luck with Chiro and blood taking. Hope the weather holds for yoga tonight.

Jean sounds like your retiring into genealogy has been a wonderful thing. I hope the session with your sister goes well!

Sharon sharing your story about the cabbage patch doll was very honest. I am sure that now that daughter is a mother she understands. It is sweet that you found this doll and now her daughter loves her too!

Have a great day all!

hi again! I am here for a few minutes before I need to run off again. Chiro and blood went fine, but the weather is bizarre. One second it looks like it is going to pour, next the sun is out. I ended up not going to the lake today, maybe another day this week. I am not sure about yoga either, if it is going to rain.

Cait and I were outside for a bit with the dogs. We decided to take J for a walk.I ended up grabbing Ray's leash on a whim. The last several years, Ray will *not* go on walks, at all. Put the leash on her, and she will sit down in the driveway and not move at all. This time, she couldn't keep up with Jaida enough. She was trying to run after her, and I was holding on for dear life! Bwuhahaha!!!! I used to be able to take my other dogs out on the leash together, but Ray on her own? Not a chance!

Nancy- that is really weird about the car door and battery. I will never understand technology and it's weird ways!

Although-- tech/NASA and Pluto! Dang, that is some cool stuff!!!!

i will never understand about the draw of celebs and reality TV either LOL A few years back, we got sucked into the train wreck of "I'm A Celebrity, Come Get me Off." Or some other such insanity. A bunch of B (D?? E??) list actors on an island. It was the same thing- while they were wailing on about whatever, you knew they were absolutely fine. heh!

From yesterday:

Awesome about having the carpets steam cleaned for you (I need to do mine again soon...) and dinner cooked, well worth a DQ cone!
And he made me laugh in that while they can't chew on their own cones they chew on each others.
hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! That is fantastic!! How funny!! Cone of Shame stories crack me up! Talk to me in two weeks when Jaida has her cone of shame too.;)

jean- sending love hugs and good healing thoughts to your sister. How is she doing so far? Tell her that her O-Fam sends their best.
My MIL jokes that now that is retired she can finally do what she should have been doing all along- quilting. Glad that you have time and ability to enjoy it too.

Sharon- that gave me goosebumps!!!!!!! For real!! What a superb ending to the story, Zanna must have been sooooo happy to see her the other day, I am glad that I was able to facilitate a bit. Just goes to show that even after so many years, things can be fixed. This is a great testament to you both!

I love the "O"
hello .

O no I ´m so afraid of storms. When I hear all this noise outside it freaks me out. Last week after the heat wave there where a big storm, not this ones which you know in the US but for me it was big with hail. I ran in the house back and forth. I´m always scared that the windows break

Chris, glad you had a good Lake Day yesterday. Sorry the weather isn't cooperating today. The dog walk sounds like it was a hoot. Even dogs are influenced by their peers ("just because Johnny jumped off the bridge....." --LOL)

Nancy, nice that you got in a good bike ride. Your car thing sounds nightmarish. I have not been happy about cars becoming rolling computers. This is why. :(

Jean, hope for a good report on your sis.

I don't get reality TV, and I really don't get the addiction to celebs.

Once again, I have to thank you, Chris, for asking the Toy Question last week. It felt good to get it all down, and I still tear-up when thinking about it...sad tears for what happened all that long time ago, but happy tears for what happened last week. And even more good Doll News. I think I may have mentioned that my soon-to-be-10-year-old DGD has her heart set on an American Girl Doll. Do you have any idea how much they are???? HUNDREDS of dollars. Now THAT is something I really don't get. She especially wants the one named Mirasol, because it was the doll of the year or some such, in 2005, the year Avery was born. So I thought, why not try eBay again. Tah-Dah! I found a gently used Mirasol for a LOT less $$$ (double digits! not triple!), and she is on her way to my house. I have a friend who has a Mirasol outfit, and some AG patterns, and she is going to let me have them. Now I just hope Avery doesn't move past this to something else before her birthday next month! LOL

Today I helped at DS's house. They were so busy today, there was a time-schedule written out. Didn't get to see much of Clara, though, for one of the things going on was her not-walking-evaluation. Turns out she is on target for everything but crawling and walking, and the walking problem may be some tactile issue...feet too sensitive for comfort. Looks like she may be getting some weekly physical therapy to encourage her on her way. Glad to know there is nothing really big wrong.

I am overwhelmed, STILL, with photos to scrap. Haven't quite finished my own driving trip, and now DS has two sets of different camping trip pictures I can't resist, as well as some pictures of other DS's family I snagged from Instagram. I may be doing a bunch of them for Anna's Artsy Challenge...the more entries, the better chance of winning, and I LOVE winning coupons to her store (or ANY store!).

Storms. Loved them when I was younger, but would never dream of chasing them. Now they are just a big inconvenience, because the power usually goes off.

Back to scrapping! :D
